Abstract

The implementation of mandatory halal certification policies in Indonesia presents significant challenges for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), particularly in tourism-driven coastal areas where regulatory literacy and procedural readiness remain uneven. This study aims to examine whether an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach can enhance halal certification readiness among MSME actors operating in Pahawang Beach and Klara Beach, Lampung Province. Employing a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest design combined with qualitative triangulation, data were collected from 50 MSME participants through structured surveys, focus group discussions, and field observations. The intervention focused on strengthening regulatory awareness, procedural literacy, attitudinal readiness, and behavioral commitment toward halal certification. The findings indicate substantial improvements across knowledge and compliance indicators, including increased understanding of legal obligations, certification timelines, and administrative sanctions, as well as a marked rise in certification registration interest and application behavior. The results further reveal that prior barriers were predominantly procedural rather than ideological, and that participatory mentoring effectively reduced informational asymmetry while activating community-level support networks. By integrating regulatory compliance with asset-based empowerment, this study advances halal governance scholarship and demonstrates that community-driven facilitation can function as an effective intermediary mechanism between statutory mandates and MSME institutional engagement. The implications suggest that mandatory halal certification policies should be accompanied by localized participatory capacity-building strategies to ensure inclusive compliance, particularly within emerging halal tourism ecosystems.

Abstract

Technology-based learning media has increasingly become an alternative for improving the quality of learning in elementary schools. This systematic literature review aims to synthesize empirical findings on the role of gamification-based interactive 3D media in improving elementary school students' learning outcomes, identify factors that support or hinder its effectiveness, and formulate an implementation framework for classroom learning. The study adapted the PRISMA 2020 and PRISMA-S guidelines to guide literature identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and inclusion. Article searches were conducted through Scopus, Google Scholar, Crossref, and Semantic Scholar using keywords related to interactive 3D media, gamification, learning outcomes, student engagement, and elementary schools. Of the 2,997 records initially identified, 8 core studies met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed thematically. The synthesis shows that gamification-based interactive 3D media contributes positively to students' cognitive, affective, and skills-based learning outcomes by improving motivation, engagement, conceptual understanding, retention, and meaningful learning experiences. The effectiveness of this media is influenced by visual design quality, relevant game elements, teacher readiness, student digital literacy, and the availability of technological infrastructure. However, limited devices, uneven access to technology, low digital literacy, and the complexity of media development remain important barriers. This review concludes that gamification-based interactive 3D media can support innovative elementary learning when its design is pedagogically aligned, accessible, and accompanied by teacher readiness and adequate school infrastructure.

Abstract

This study advances Islamic educational leadership theory by examining the integration of spirituality, ethics, and innovation as a holistic leadership model in Islamic secondary education. Using an explanatory sequential mixed-methods design, the research was conducted at MAN 1 Bandar Lampung. Quantitative data were collected from 120 teachers and staff to measure leadership practices across spiritual, ethical, and innovative dimensions. Regression analysis showed that spirituality and ethics were the strongest predictors of leadership effectiveness, while innovation, although positively perceived, had a relatively weaker influence. To deepen these findings, qualitative data were obtained through semi-structured interviews, complemented by document analysis. Thematic analysis revealed that leadership practices are strongly rooted in spiritual awareness, moral integrity, and participatory decision-making, reflecting fundamental Islamic values. Innovation was mainly evident in instructional practices, such as blended learning and the use of digital platforms, but was less integrated into administrative and organizational leadership. Identified challenges included limited technological infrastructure, uneven digital literacy, and resistance to organizational change. This study proposes a holistic and transferable framework of Islamic educational leadership in which spirituality provides moral orientation, ethics ensures accountability and justice, and innovation supports adaptive responses to contemporary challenges. The findings contribute to leadership theory by highlighting that transformational change in Islamic educational settings is primarily guided by spiritual and ethical accountability rather than managerial efficiency alone, offering valuable insights for leadership development and policy formulation in Islamic education beyond the local context.
