Abstract

This study examines how IT governance contributes to organizational performance through information systems (IS) success, digital capability, and organizational agility in higher education institutions. It addresses a critical gap by exploring why improvements in IT governance and system quality do not always translate into higher organizational capabilities and performance. A quantitative survey was conducted with 342 respondents from higher education institutions in Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB), Indonesia, and analyzed using PLS-SEM. The results show that IT governance significantly improves system, information, and service quality. However, these dimensions do not significantly influence digital capability, and digital capability does not significantly affect organizational agility. Instead, organizational agility is the only construct that significantly enhances organizational performance, while IT governance shows no direct effect. These findings suggest that IT value creation is not linear but depends on the organization’s ability to translate technological resources into adaptive capabilities. This study provides empirical evidence on the indirect role of IT governance and offers a contextual clarification of IS success and digital capability relationships within NTB higher education institutions.

Abstract

This study examines generative artificial intelligence (AI) adoption in higher education by integrating interface quality, algorithmic transparency, and trust within a Human-AI Interaction framework. The study addresses limitations of traditional technology acceptance models, which often overlook psychological and relational factors in AI-enabled environments. Data were collected through a cross-sectional survey of 195 respondents, including students, lecturers, and administrative staff from higher education institutions in West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, within a cross-sectional regional sample, and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that Trust in AI is the strongest predictor of Behavioral Intention (β = 0.623, p < 0.001), followed by Perceived Usefulness (β = 0.270, p < 0.05). Interface Quality significantly affects Perceived Ease of Use (β = 0.803), while Algorithmic Transparency strongly influences Perceived Control (β = 0.824) and Perceived Usefulness (β = 0.562). AI Anxiety was not found to have a significant direct or moderating effect. The model demonstrates substantial explanatory power (R² = 0.710) and strong predictive relevance. This study proposes an integrated dual-path model combining cognitive and affective mechanisms to explain generative AI adoption in higher education. The findings emphasize that AI systems should be designed not only for functionality, but also for trust, transparency, and user confidence.

Abstract

Kemampuan menyusun judul penelitian yang berkualitas merupakan keterampilan awal yang penting dalam penulisan artikel ilmiah mahasiswa. Namun, banyak mahasiswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam merumuskan judul yang fokus, relevan, dan sesuai dengan struktur artikel ilmiah, terutama dalam mengaitkan topik penelitian dengan masalah, objek kajian, metode, research gap, dan novelty. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam memahami struktur artikel ilmiah dan menyusun judul penelitian berkualitas melalui workshop berbasis praktik. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Ruang Riset STMIK Lombok dengan melibatkan 23 mahasiswa dari Program Studi Sistem Informasi dan Teknik Informatika yang terdiri dari semester 2, 4, dan 6. Metode kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan workshop berbasis praktik melalui tahapan identifikasi kebutuhan, perancangan materi, pelaksanaan pretest, penyampaian materi, praktik penyusunan judul, posttest, serta evaluasi luaran kegiatan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta, yang ditunjukkan oleh kenaikan rata-rata nilai pretest dari 7,3 menjadi 8,9 pada posttest, dengan peningkatan sebesar 1,6 poin atau 21,92%. Selain itu, peserta menunjukkan keterlibatan aktif dalam diskusi dan mulai mampu menyusun draft judul penelitian yang lebih spesifik dan terarah. Dengan demikian, workshop struktur artikel ilmiah berbasis praktik efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa menyusun judul penelitian berkualitas dan dapat menjadi model pembinaan akademik dalam mendukung budaya menulis ilmiah di perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

In the digital transformation era, local governments increasingly use social media to foster transparency, disseminate information, and enhance civic participation. However, challenges remain in ensuring consistent public engagement and user satisfaction, especially in regions with limited digital literacy and uneven access to infrastructure. This study investigates the key determinants of user satisfaction, engagement, and continuance intention in local government social media platforms, with a specific focus on Central Lombok, Indonesia, a rural region facing significant digital inclusion gaps. The research combines the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), which focuses on how easy and useful a system is, with the e-Government Adoption Model (e-GAM), which looks at factors like trust in the government, transparency, how interactive the platform is, and perceived risks. A survey of 557 users was analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and Importance Performance Map Analysis (IPMA), showing that user satisfaction is greatly affected by how easy the platform is to use and how much users trust it. Digital literacy, interactivity, and institutional trust further shape these perceptions. Interestingly, perceived usefulness and perceived risk did not show strong direct effects, which was surprising and might be due to regular usage habits and dependence on institutional signals in rural areas. IPMA results indicate that interactivity, user trust, and digital literacy are high-impact yet underperforming areas, warranting strategic attention. The study makes progress in theory by merging behavioral and institutional models and provides practical suggestions for improving two-way communication, building public trust, and encouraging digital skill development to boost meaningful participation in local digital governance.

Abstract

The Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit is a major tourism destination in Lombok. This study develops an aspect-based sentiment analysis (ABSA) system extracting sentiment from 1,772 valid Google Maps reviews filtered from 4,671 raw reviews, covering nine aspects defined via topic modeling and keyword validation. A two-stage IndoBERT pipeline is applied with Focal Loss, mean pooling, a differential learning rate, Back-Translation augmentation, and 5-fold cross-validation with per-aspect threshold tuning. The final model achieves a macro-F1 of 0.882 for aspect detection (accuracy 0.976; exact match accuracy 82.58%; hamming loss 0.024) and a macro-F1 of 0.87 for sentiment classification. Against classical TF-IDF baselines, IndoBERT (macro-F1 0.882) outperforms a linear Support Vector Machine (0.727) and Logistic Regression (0.711) on aspect detection, though a McNemar test shows the gap versus SVM is not statistically significant (p = 0.104), while the gap between SVM and Logistic Regression is significant (p = 0.001). Because labels are produced via weak supervision, additional validation is conducted using human annotation on 313 reviews (17.7% of the data); inter-annotator agreement (Cohen's Kappa) for aspect detection is very low (κ = 0.159), indicating that weak-supervision metrics may not directly reflect ground-truth sentiment accuracy. Venue (41.5%), Scenery (29.9%), and Organization (18.4%) are the most frequently discussed aspects in the reviews. The findings are translated into an actionable promotion strategy matrix, though larger-scale human validation remains necessary before direct application.

Abstract

Academic information systems (AIS) play a crucial role in supporting academic and administrative processes in higher education institutions. Despite their widespread adoption, sustained user engagement remains a challenge, often linked to usability and system responsiveness issues. This study integrates the technology acceptance model (TAM) with experiential interface dimensions visual quality (VQ) and user interface responsiveness (UIR) to examine their influence on user satisfaction (US) and loyalty within AIS environments. Data were collected from 432 active AIS users across 12 Indonesian universities and analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that perceived ease of use (PEOU) and perceived usefulness significantly enhance US, which in turn strongly predicts user loyalty (UL). System responsiveness demonstrates a substantial influence on perceived usability, while usability exerts both direct and indirect effects on long-term user commitment. Although VQ contributes positively to usability perceptions and satisfaction, its direct role in sustaining loyalty is comparatively limited. Importance–performance map analysis (IPMA) further identifies PEOU and UIR as the most strategic priorities for improving long-term engagement. By extending TAM with experiential interface factors, this study offers a more comprehensive framework for understanding AIS adoption and provides practical guidance for designing user-centered, performance-driven AIS.

Abstract

The increasing emphasis on professionalism, accountability, and performance management among State Civil Apparatus (ASN) has encouraged government institutions to adopt digital performance systems. This study examines user acceptance of the e-Kinerja application supporting the Employee Additional Income (TPP) policy at the Environmental Agency of Central Lombok Regency using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). A quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0.9.9 was applied to questionnaire data from 41 ASN employees. The model included Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Perceived Usefulness (PU), Attitude Toward Using (ATU), Behavioral Intention (BI), and Actual Use (AU), with AU measured through self-reported indicators rather than system-generated logs. The measurement model demonstrated satisfactory reliability and convergent validity, although several HTMT values exceeded the recommended threshold. Structurally, PEOU significantly affected PU (β = 0.826; p < 0.001), PU affected ATU (β = 1.070; p < 0.001), ATU affected BI (β = 0.842; p < 0.001), and BI affected AU (β = 0.823; p < 0.001), whereas PEOU did not significantly affect ATU (β = −0.346; p = 0.212). The model explained 68.2% of PU, 65.3% of ATU, 70.9% of BI, and 67.7% of AU. The findings indicate that e-Kinerja acceptance is primarily driven by perceived usefulness, attitudes, and behavioral intention. Practical improvements should emphasize TPP transparency, real-time feedback, data accuracy, simplified reporting, user training, and technical assistance to support adoption.
