Abstract

The Society 5.0 era requires human resource development that goes beyond technical competence to include strong moral integrity and sustainability principles. Local wisdom, such as the Poda na Lima philosophy from the Sipirok community, offers potential as a foundation for holistic HR development. This study examines the relevance of Poda na Lima’s philosophy to HR development among Sipirok migrants living in Medan City. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the study involved 12 informants from various professional backgrounds selected through purposive and snowball sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, and then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana data analysis model with support from the source, method, and theoretical triangulation. Results show that the five principles of Poda na Lima—Paias Rohamu (Cleansing the Soul), Paias Pamatangmu (Cleansing the Body), Paias Parabitonmu (Cleansing Clothing), Paias Bagasmu (Cleansing the House), and Paias Pakaranganmu (Cleansing the Environment)—have strategic relevance to modern HR development concepts. This philosophy works as an operational framework for building professional competence, character, and performance, while offering solutions to globalization challenges. This research confirms that Poda na Lima can be positioned as an Indigenous Management Framework that provides a competitive advantage by integrating noble local wisdom values with contemporary management principles

Abstract

Dalam konteks agenda nasional Menuju Indonesia Emas 2045, penguatan sumber daya manusia dan transformasi digital pendidikan merupakan prioritas strategis, sehingga pemberdayaan guru menjadi kunci keberhasilan pendidikan berkelanjutan. Studi ini melaporkan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) dengan fokus pada penguatan literasi Artificial Intelligence (AI) melalui mekanisme knowledge sharing yang terstruktur. Program dirancang berbasis kebutuhan mitra yang teridentifikasi pada studi pendahuluan, yaitu rendahnya literasi AI, lemahnya kolaborasi profesional antarguru, dominasi pembelajaran konvensional, serta keterbatasan akses pelatihan berkelanjutan. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan andragogis-partisipatif melalui pelatihan literasi dan keterampilan memanfaatkan Artificial Intelligence, pendampingan implementasi pembelajaran hybrid berbasis AI, penguatan komunitas praktik, serta evaluasi prasosialisasi pelatihan dan pascasosialisasi pelatihan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan literasi AI guru, kesiapan pedagogik digital, kesadaran etis penggunaan teknologi, dan intensitas praktik knowledge sharing. Para Guru mulai lebih tertarik memanfaatkan AI untuk pengayaan materi, asesmen formatif, dan diferensiasi pembelajaran. Pada level institusional, terlihat adanya keinginan manajemen untuk membentuk komunitas praktik knowledge sharing, hal ini mengindikasikan penguatan kapasitas organisasi dalam mengelola inovasi pembelajaran dan pendidikan yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the inefficiencies of the compensation mechanism in the Indonesian criminal justice system, which often converts financial obligations into alternative imprisonment (subsidiary). The research employed a normative legal method with legislative, case law, and economic approaches, utilising Richard Posner and Gary Becker's efficiency theories. The findings indicate that converting compensation into custodial sentences creates a systemic double loss. This mechanism results in a deadweight loss where victims remain materially uncompensated for their medical and psychological costs, while the state simultaneously bears the fiscal burden of detaining the offender in an already overcrowded prison system. Based on the analysis of Supreme Court Decision No. 1149 K/Pid/2022, Law No. 1 of 2023 (National Criminal Code), and Law No. 12 of 2022 (Law on Sexual Violence Crimes), this study concludes that alternative imprisonment is an inefficient instrument that degrades the victim's dignity. Therefore, this research recommends that asset recovery through early asset seizure and income garnishment must be enforced as a top priority to achieve genuine, victim-centered restorative justice.
