Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the claim settlement process of the Brilliance Hasanah Sejahtera life insurance product at PT Asuransi XXX, Central Java Branch, through the lens of Maqasid al-Shariah. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, the research examines whether the operational mechanisms of Islamic life insurance claims reflect Shariah compliance and contribute to social welfare (maslahah). Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation from both company representatives and policyholders. The findings reveal that the claim settlement procedure—comprising claim notification, submission of documents, verification, and payment—has been implemented in accordance with Islamic principles, emphasizing transparency, fairness, and efficiency. The analysis identifies that PT Asuransi XXX embodies the objectives of Maqasid al-Shariah primarily through the dimension of hifzh al-mal (protection of wealth), while simultaneously supporting other objectives such as hifzh al-din, hifzh al-nafs, hifzh al-aql, and hifzh al-nasl. The study concludes that the company’s claim settlement process reflects the realization of dharuriyat (essential needs), promoting justice and trust in Islamic financial services.

Abstract

Kualitas hidup dan masa depan finansial keluarga dipengaruhi oleh pengelolaan keuangan. Keluarga akan dapat menggapai tujuan dan kestabilan finansial jangka panjang melalui pengelolaan keuangan yang baik. Pencatatan keuangan ini akan mendukung pengelolaan keuangan keluarga, dimana akan sangat membantu kita untuk memantau keluar masuk uang. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pengelolaan dan pencatatan keuangan menggunakan aplikasi. Mitra dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah orang tua siswa TK/KB Al Irsyad Kota Tegal. Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal ada sebagian dari peserta belum melakukan pencatatan pendapatan dan pengeluaran secara rutin. Sebagian peserta yang lain sudah melakukan pencatatan secara manual namun  seringkali mengalami kesalahan pencatatan yang menyebabkan kesalahan dalam pengelolaan keuangan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini penting untuk membantu peserta dalam menjaga kesehatan finansial, mencapai tujuan finansial, meningkatkan kesadaran pengeluaran, dan membantu dalam pengambilan Keputusan keuangan keluarga. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode berupa sosialisasi terkait pengelolaan keuangan keluarga dan dilanjutkan dengan simulasi praktik pencatatan keuangan sehari-hari. Dari hasil pre-test dan post-test yang disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan literasi keuangan peserta terkait dengan pengelolaan keuangan keluarga dan meningkatkan kemampuan peserta dalam mengoperasikan aplikasi untuk pencatatan keuangannya. Kegiatan PKM ini sangat penting untuk dilaksanakan karena kebutuhan dasar setiap keluarga untuk mengelola keuangan secara tertib, sadar, dan berkelanjutan dapat mendukung kesejahteraan jangka panjang

Abstract

This study examines the association between recruitment, selection, and human resource (HR) performance in Indonesia's industrial sector a context underrepresented in existing HR literature despite its distinct labor market characteristics, including a rapidly formalizing HR infrastructure and sector-specific skill demands in manufacturing, automotive, and textile industries. While prior studies confirm positive relationships between talent acquisition practices and employee performance, evidence from emerging economy industrial firms operating under semi-formalized HR systems remains limited, and the combined predictive role of recruitment and selection has rarely been tested within this context. Using a cross-sectional survey of 200 employees from industrial companies in Central Java and multiple linear regression analysis, this study finds that recruitment (β = 0.456, p < 0.001) and selection (β = 0.523, p < 0.001) are each positively associated with HR performance, together accounting for 67.8% of its variance (R² = 0.678). Because the design is cross-sectional, these results indicate association rather than causation. The findings suggest that more systematic and structured talent acquisition practices correspond with better employee performance outcomes, and offer sector-specific empirical evidence to inform HR policy in Indonesian industrial firms where formal recruitment and selection standards are still developing.
