Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran mengenai motivasi berprestasi dan pengaruh kemajuan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) khususnya gawai pada mahasiswa Akademi Sekretari Widya Mandala Surabaya (Akse WMS). Studi dilakukan pada mahasiswa angkatan 2013 dan 2014. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif, dengan metode pengambilan sampel nonprobability sampling. Teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah sensus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa responden merupakan generasi Digital Native. Digital Native merupakan istilah bagi seseorang yang sejak bayi sampai tumbuh dewasa tidak terlepas dari teknologi digital. Berkaitan dengan motivasi berprestasi, responden secara umum memiliki motivasi belajar yang tinggi. Tiga jawaban tertinggi alasan motivasi berprestasi responden dapat terbentuk karena (1) adanya keyakinan akan mendapatkan prestasi yang baik; (2) mau berusaha mencapai prestasi terbaik; dan (3) bersungguh-sungguh dalam menyelesaikan tugas. Melalui penelitian ini juga diketahui kalau mayoritas responden hanya memanfaatkan teknologi gawai untuk kesenangan dan bermain. Responden belum dapat mengoptimalkan penggunaan teknologi digital untuk mendukung keberhasilan studinya. Dari hasil studi ini Penulis memberikan saran agar responden dapat lebih mengenal dan mengoptimalkan TIK dalam proses belajar. Pengintegrasian proses belajar mengajar di kampus dengan TIK sudah selayaknya dilakukan hingga dapat terbentuk “knowlegde-bases society habits” dengan memanfaatkan kecanggihan teknologi digital di Akse WMS.

Abstract

The recent learning trend has been put into practice collaboratively with so many aspects belonging to the core curriculum itself, such as Information Technology with its popular approach to collaborative learning. The study applied Google Classroom to the collaborative learning to maximize the learning in the classroom practice. The learning approach used is collaborative learning. The students utilized the collaborative features in Google Classroom to go beyond the limit of conventional learning such as time, space, and distance. The participants were the students taking English Business Correspondence Class of Widya Mandala Secretarial Academy Surabaya, Indonesia. The research found that Google Classroom was proven a supportive learning management system according to the students. Moreover, Google Classroom were proven useful to foster the process of writing process, during the revision stages. To sum up, Google Classroom were felt by the students to be the answer of ‘mobility in learning’ and to speed up the learning process, beyond time and spaces.

Abstract

ABSTRAKUKM Sumber Berkat Mandiri sebagai Mitra Tim Abdimas selama ini menggunakan “sistem manajemen warung” dalam menjalankan bisnis di mana hampir seluruh urusan dikerjakan secara perorangan. Manajemen tersebut menyebabkan kurang optimalnya sistem administrasi, terutama dalam hal pencatatan aset, berdampak pada over stock dan kerugian lain. Secara umum, permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra adalah belum adanya sistem administrasi terpadu untuk membantu pelaksanaan proses bisnis Mitra dan belum adanya sistem manajemen aset yang baik. Karena itu, tim abdimas membantu mitra untuk membenahi sistem inventori mitra, juga mengembangkan kemampuan manajerial Mitra melalui pengembangan keterampilan bagi Mitra dalam hal kepemimpinan, etika profesi, manajemen waktu, layanan prima, dan keterampilan interpersonal. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan Abdimas ini dilakukan dalam 4 (empat) tahap. Tahap pertama survey untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan mitra; tahap kedua pemberian materi pelatihan; tahap ketiga penugasan kepada mitra terkait inventori barang yang dijual; tahap keempat sharing atas pelatihan yang telah didapatkan dan pendampingan penggunaan aplikasi inventory management. Luaran kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah buku panduan kerja yang dapat digunakan oleh mitra dalam mengimplentasikan aplikasi inventory management.Kata Kunci: UKM, pencatatan aset, aplikasi inventory management ABSTRACTA Small-Medium Enterprise unit, Sumber Berkat Mandiri, as the partner of this social and community service activity, has been using “sistem manajemen warung” in doing the business, in which almost all management activities are done in ‘one man show’ mode. This management style causes lacking in administration system optimality, especially in inventory record. The style has created over stock problem and other losses. In general, the partner’s major problem is the absence of integrated administration system for the business process and lacking of good inventory system. Therefore, the social and community service team helps the partner to implement an application for the inventory record and also develop the partner’s managerial skills through leadership training, professional ethics training, time management and service excellence trainings, as well as interpersonal skills training. The methods used in helping the partner are divided into 4 (four) phases. The first phase is doing a survey to get the partner’s needs; the second phase is giving the trainings; the third phase is asking the partner to record the inventory of all items in the partner’s warehouse; and the fourth phase is getting the partner’s feedback after receiving all the trainings and guiding the partner in implementing inventory management application. The result of this activity is a manual book for the partner to implement the inventory management application.Keywords: Small-medium enterprise unit, inventory record, inventory management application

Abstract

UKM Sumber Berkat Mandiri is a shop that sells approximately 350 types of livestock equipment, modern agriculture, and techniques. Sumber Berkat Mandiri serves buyers directly or through marketplaces. The number of items are quite many and it makes the owners to manage their stocks. Moreover, the owners are still using the “stall management system”, Almost all the affairs are done individually and are not recorded neatly. Therefore, the owner often experiences over-stock or the opposite, shortage of stock. In last year's community service activity, the team introduced an inventory management application. However, it turned out that the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) is still having difficulty using the application. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide help in operating the inventory management application and prepare work guides for the partner, Sumber Berkat Mandiri SME, so that they can use the inventory management application. With assistance in the use of inventory management applications, the partner can have the skills and expertise in using applications in recording quantities and controlling inventory of their merchandise, as well as making inventory management more effective and efficient.
