Abstract

The integration of science and the Quran is a learning approach that aims to eliminate the dichotomy between science and religious values in education. To date, science and physics learning tends to emphasize cognitive and empirical aspects without linking them to spiritual values, resulting in students' understanding of science in a fragmented and less meaningful way. This research aims to examine the concept of science and Quran integration and analyze its implementation in science and physics learning. The method used in this research is a literature study with a descriptive qualitative approach, through the collection and analysis of various sources such as scientific journals, books, and relevant articles. The results show that the integration of science and the Quran can be achieved by linking scientific concepts to relevant Quranic verses, such as in the study of cosmology, physics, and biology.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the problems faced by students in understanding physics concepts and formulas at senior high schools in Deli Serdang Regency. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews with eleventh-grade students. The results showed that students experienced difficulties in memorizing and understanding physics formulas, lacked understanding of basic physics concepts, and had difficulty relating concepts to problem-solving. In addition, the teaching methods used by teachers significantly influenced students' level of understanding. Students found it easier to understand the material when teachers explained concepts in a simple manner, provided examples related to daily life, and applied interactive teaching methods. Therefore, it is necessary to implement learning strategies that focus more on conceptual understanding and utilize engaging and contextual teaching methods to help students better understand physics.
