Abstract

This research aims to examine the effect of return on assets, current ratio, and sales growth on earning growth, with dividend payout ratio as an intervening variable in retail companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange during the 2020–2024 period. The sample consisted of 14 companies (70 observations) selected through purposive sampling. The analytical methods applied were multiple linear regression and path analysis SPSS 27. The results show return on assets and current ratio have a positive and significant effect on dividend payout ratio, while sales growth has no significant effect. Return on assets positively affects earning growth, whereas current ratio has a negative significant effect. Sales growth and dividend payout ratio do not significantly affect earning growth. The path analysis reveals dividend payout ratio does not mediate the effects of return on assets and sales growth on earning growth, but it mediates the effect of current ratio on earning growth. These findings indicate profitability plays an important role in improving earnings growth, while effective liquidity management is essential to support corporate performance.

Abstract

This research examines the effect of Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, and Total Asset Turnover on Return on Asset, with Return on Equity as a moderating variable in pharmaceutical sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2013–2024. The study uses a quantitative approach and secondary data from annual financial statements. Five companies were selected through purposive sampling, producing 60 firm-year observations. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, multiple linear regression, and Moderated Regression Analysis. The results show that Current Ratio has a negative and significant effect on Return on Asset (B = −0.186; p = 0.003), Debt to Equity Ratio has a negative and significant effect (B = −0.413; p < 0.001), while Total Asset Turnover has a positive and significant effect (B = 0.141; p < 0.001). The moderation tests indicate that Return on Equity tends to weaken the relationships of Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, and Total Asset Turnover with Return on Asset, but the interaction effects are not statistically significant (p = 0.456; 0.679; and 0.799). These findings imply that profitability is more closely associated with efficient asset utilization and prudent liquidity and leverage management, while Return on Equity does not provide sufficient statistical evidence as a moderator in the observed relationships.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, income, and risk perception on investment decisions, with investment interest as an intervening variable among Generation Z in Semarang City. This study employs a quantitative approach, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to Generation Z respondents residing in Semarang City. The data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, partial tests (t-test), coefficient of determination (R²), and the Sobel Test. The results show that financial literacy and income have positive and significant effects on investment interest, while risk perception does not have a positive and significant effect on investment interest. Regarding investment decisions, financial literacy does not have a positive and significant effect, whereas income and risk perception have positive and significant effects. Investment interest also has a positive and significant effect on investment decisions. The Sobel Test indicates that investment interest does not mediate the effects of financial literacy, income, or risk perception on investment decisions. Therefore, income and risk perception are important factors influencing investment decisions, while financial literacy contributes more to increasing investment interest than directly affecting investment decisions.

Abstract

Cash is the most liquid asset and plays an important role in supporting a company's operational activities. Optimal cash management is necessary to maintain liquidity without reducing the efficiency of working capital utilization. This study aims to analyze the effect of Return on Assets (ROA), Cash Flow (CF), and Net Working Capital (NWC) on Cash Holding, with Firm Size as a moderating variable in cosmetic and household products sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2024 period. This study employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive-verificative research design. The data used are secondary data obtained from the companies’ annual finan-cial statements. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression and Mod-erated Regression Analysis (MRA) to examine the effects of the independent variables on Cash Holding and the moderating role of Firm Size. The results indicate that return on assets (roa) has no significant effect on cash hold-ing. Meanwhile, cash flow and net working capital have a positive and significant effect on cash holding. Firm size is unable to moderate the effect of return on assets on cash holding. However, firm size weakens the positive effect of cash flow on cash holding and strengthens the positive effect of net working capital on cash holding. These findings suggest that company size plays an important role in determining the relationship be-tween financial factors and corporate Cash Holding policies.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of financial knowledge, risk tolerance, and social influence on bond investment interest, with gender as a moderating variable, among productive-age workers in Semarang. A quantitative approach was employed using questionnaire data collected from 100 respondents aged 25–49 years. The data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, partial hypothesis testing (t-test), and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The findings reveal that financial knowledge, risk tolerance, and social influence each have a positive and significant effect on bond investment interest. Furthermore, the moderating analysis indicates that gender weakens the effects of financial knowledge and risk tolerance on bond investment interest but strengthens the effect of social influence. These findings suggest that both individual financial capabilities and external social factors contribute to bond investment interest among productive-age workers. Gender also affects the strength of the relationships between the independent variables and bond investment interest, indicating its role as a moderating factor.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has transformed marketing patterns for products and services, including within the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) sector. However, many culinary MSME operators still face limitations in utilizing digital promotional media due to a lack of graphic design skills. Consequently, their promotional efforts often lack visual appeal and fail to optimally enhance business competitiveness. This community service initiative aims to improve the knowledge and skills of culinary MSME operators in creating digital promotional banners using the Canva application. The implementation method encompasses identifying partner needs, delivering instructional material, demonstrating Canva usage, hands-on banner creation, providing guidance, and evaluating training outcomes. The participants consisted of 20 operators of small food stalls (*warung*) located in the target area. The training and guidance on creating banners with Canva proved effective in helping MSMEs develop promotional materials that are more attractive, informative, and professional. This activity is expected to have a positive impact on enhancing the marketing capabilities and competitiveness of MSMEs in the digital era.
