Abstract

This study examines the effects of workload, work environment, and job stress on turnover intention among finishing‑department employees at PT. Ungaran Sari Garment, and tests work motivation as an intervening variable. The study is motivated by a high turnover rate in the finishing department suspected to result from heavy job demands, suboptimal environmental conditions, and workplace stress. A quantitative design was applied with 136 respondents; data were gathered via questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression and the Sobel test for mediation. Findings indicate that workload, work environment, and job stress each have significant effects on turnover intention; workload negatively and significantly affects work motivation while the work environment positively and significantly affects motivation; job stress does not significantly affect motivation. Work motivation has a significant negative effect on turnover intention and mediates the relationships of (a) workload → turnover intention and (b) work environment → turnover intention, but does not mediate the job stress → turnover intention link. Practical implications include managing workload, improving work environment conditions, and implementing motivation‑enhancement programs to reduce employees’ intent to leave.

Abstract

The rapid growth of the skincare industry in Indonesia has encouraged companies to implement effective marketing strategies, such as the use of brand ambassadors and electronic word of mouth (E-WOM). This study aims to analyze the influence of brand ambassadors and E-WOM on purchasing decisions, with purchase intention serving as an intervening variable among Scarlett users on the Shopee marketplace in Tembalang District. This study employed a quantitative approach using a purposive sampling method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents who met the research criteria and were analyzed using multiple linear regression and the Sobel test to examine the mediating role of purchase intention. The results indicate that brand ambassadors and E-WOM have a positive and significant effect on purchase intention. E-WOM and purchase intention also have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, while brand ambassadors do not have a significant direct effect on purchasing decisions. The Sobel test results show that purchase intention successfully mediates the effect of brand ambassadors and E-WOM on purchasing decisions. Therefore, purchase intention plays an important role in bridging the influence of brand ambassadors and E-WOM on purchasing decisions for Scarlett products on Shopee.

Abstract

Financing companies depend on employees who can sustain service quality while meeting time-sensitive operational targets. This research evaluates how the work environment and workload are associated with employee performance at PT Summit Oto Finance Semarang and examines job satisfaction as an intervening variable. Data were obtained from all 60 employees through a structured questionnaire; because the population was limited, every employee was included as a respondent. The responses were processed in SPSS through item-validity and reliability checks, classical-assumption diagnostics, multiple regression, partial significance tests, determination coefficients, and path analysis. The estimates show positive significant relationships of the work environment with performance (B = 0.383; p = 0.004) and satisfaction (B = 0.514; p < 0.001), and of workload with performance (B = 0.337; p = 0.019) and satisfaction (B = 0.647; p < 0.001). Job satisfaction is also positively related to performance (B = 0.403; p = 0.004). The calculated indirect contributions are 0.207 for the work-environment path and 0.260 for the workload path. These results indicate that employee satisfaction is an important link in the relationships examined.
