Abstract

Theoretically sound educational ideas and media for teaching are often easier to discuss and debate than their practical implementation in the classroom. Consequently, the purpose of this research is to find problems with the use of learning theories and pedagogical tools. In order to provide a thorough analysis, this research uses a mixed-methods case study methodology, which combines quantitative data with qualitative results. Two science instructors and twenty-six third graders from an elementary school participated in the research. After gathering data via surveys, in-depth interviews, and observational studies, the researchers examined the quantitative data using descriptive statistics and the qualitative findings using thematic analysis. Using visual aids like photos and videos helps 73% of students understand the topic better, while narrative-based learning engages 65% of students. Students' inability to conceptualize abstract ideas is exacerbated by an over-reliance on textbooks, according to field observations, which in turn causes extreme boredom and disengagement. So, it's safe to say that the absence of visual and narrative components is the biggest problem with IPAS lessons. In order to improve students' motivation and critical thinking abilities in the digital age, this research suggests integrating digital storytelling technology with interactive visual media.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the demands of technological adaptation in Islamic elementary schools, which frequently encounter operational constraints, limited infrastructure, and teacher workload challenges in aligning multimedia content. The primary objective of this study is to analyze teachers' adaptation challenges in integrating digital learning media. The method employed is a qualitative multi-site case study approach across three private SDITs in Pekanbaru using purposive sampling. The results indicate that teachers' challenges are no longer merely technical-operational, but rather an intersection of cognitive-pedagogical workloads in lesson planning, school internet disparities, and the necessity of Islamic value curation. Although digital media is proven to enhance student focus , teachers feel burdened by intensive preparation time. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that successfully addressing teacher challenges in adapting digital learning media in private SDITs heavily relies on systemic synergy between competency readiness, managerial infrastructure support, and standardized content filtering.

Abstract

Abstract The moral decline among Indonesian students necessitates early character education, particularly within Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI), which offers a strategic Islamic educational ecosystem. This study aims to analyze the strategies, challenges, and innovative solutions employed by Civic Education teachers in internalizing Pancasila values at the elementary madrasah level. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach with a single-case study design, data were collected through semi-structured interviews and classroom observations at an MI A in Pekanbaru, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model (data reduction, display, and verification). The findings reveal that Pancasila values were effectively internalized through contextual methods (roleplay, rhythmic songs, and real-life examples) and digital video media, which proved superior to physical posters. The integration of the First Principle with Islamic routines (Tahfidz and Dhuha prayer) naturally fostered a religio-nationalist character. Key challenges included limited reading literacy among lower-grade students and psychosocial-domestic influences, which were mitigated through teachers’ affective sensitivity, WhatsApp-based parent collaboration, and personalized interventions. Consequently, this study recommends the implementation of the "Hybrid Spirit" pedagogical model, which integrates kinesthetic, audiovisual, and emotional stabilization activities, alongside institutional efforts to elevate the status of Civic Education to parity with religious subjects in MI curricula.
