Abstract

Abstrak: Artikel ini mendeskripsikan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang berbentuk penyuluhan dengan topik edukasi potensi pariwisata geohistoris berbasis kearifan lokal. kegiatan ini berlangsung di Kalurahan Bugel, Kapanewon Panjatan, Kabupaten Kulonprogo, D.I. Yogyakarta. Peserta kegiatan penyuluhan yaitu pemuda desa setempat, pokdarwis, dan perangkat Desa Bugel. Lokus pengabdian ini dipilih karena Desa Bugel memiliki potensi pariwisata seperti kenampakan alam yang masih asri berupa pantai bugel dan pantai bidara, sejarah lokal tentang ki darunoni daruni yang melegenda dan meninggalkan patilasan, tradisi lokal berupa kirab budaya, dan kegiatan-kegiatan yang berpotensi dijadikan objek pariwisata. Kegiatan pengabdian ini mengedukasi, mendorong, dan mengajak masyarakat bugel untuk lebih mengenali dan menggali potensi pariwisatanya untuk dapat dipromosikan sehingga berdampak pada ekonomi lokal setempat.Abstract: This article describes a community service activity in the form of an outreach program focused on educating the community about the potential for geo-historical tourism rooted in local wisdom. the activity took place in Bugel Village, Panjatan District, Kulonprogo Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. Participants included local village youth, the tourism awareness group (pokdarwis), and bugel village officials. This location was selected because bugel village possesses tourism potential, including pristine natural features specifically bugel beach and bidara beach as well as local history surrounding the legendary figures ki daruno and ni daruni (whose historical sites remain), local traditions such as cultural parades, and other activities with tourism potential. The initiative aimed to educate, encourage, and invite the bugel community to recognize and explore their tourism potential so that it could be promoted, thereby generating a positive impact on the local economy.
