Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of technology integration in science education from 2014 to 2025, analyzing 9,234 English-language journal articles from 1,481 Scopus-indexed sources using Biblioshiny and VOSviewer. Key findings reveal a 14.05% annual growth rate with significant acceleration post-COVID-19. Strong East Asian leadership is identified, with National Taiwan University of Science and Technology and Hwang Gwo-Jen as the leading institution and author, respectively. China, USA, and Indonesia emerge as top contributing countries, with China showing dramatic post-2020 growth. Thematic analysis reveals evolution from traditional ICT toward emerging technologies, with mobile learning, artificial intelligence, learning analytics, and computational thinking as dominant themes. Three primary clusters emerge: pedagogical technology integration, human-centered learning models, and assessment-oriented strategies. International collaboration patterns show a healthy balance between single-country and multi-country publications. The study provides evidence-based insights into the intellectual structure of technology-enhanced science education research and offers recommendations for future research priorities and collaboration opportunities.
