This study aims to analyze the need for developing Canva-based interactive learning media to address the low understanding of fifth-grade elementary school students regarding the human digestive system. The primary issue lies in the use of conventional student worksheets (LKS), which fail to visualize abstract material, and the suboptimal utilization of Chromebook facilities at SDN Karangbokong 01, 02, and 03. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method, adopting the Define stage of the 4D development model. Data were gathered through observation, documentation, and interviews with teachers and fifth-grade students. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing to determine the required media specifications. The results indicate an urgent need for dynamic visual media that integrates animations and interactive quizzes. Utilizing Canva via Chromebooks is seen as a strategic solution to concretize abstract concepts and increase students' active participation. The study concludes that the development of digital-based interactive media is essential to optimize school assets and achieve better learning outcomes in Science (IPAS).
