Analgesics are medications used to relieve or eliminate pain that can reduce quality of life, such as headaches, toothaches, menstrual cramps, and muscle pain. However, the easy accessibility of these drugs, both with and without a prescription, is often not accompanied by adequate understanding of their proper use, which may lead to adverse effects such as gastrointestinal disorders, kidney and liver damage, and hypersensitivity reactions. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve public understanding regarding the proper use and potential side effects of analgesics. This study aims to enhance public knowledge and understanding of the rational use of analgesics through health promotion activities. The method employed was socialization using PowerPoint presentations and the distribution of leaflets, with evaluation conducted by comparing the results of pre-test and post-test questionnaires based on mean values. The results showed a significant increase in knowledge, from 23% in the pre-test to 77% in the post-test, exceeding the success indicator of 70%. Thus, this educational activity has proven effective in improving public understanding of the rational use of analgesics and contributes to the improvement of overall quality of life.
