Completing an undergraduate thesis often exposes students to academic and psychological challenges that may affect the effectiveness of its completion. Therefore, students need academic resilience to adapt and persist in dealing with these challenges. This study aimed to examine the effect of academic resilience on the effectiveness of thesis completion among the 2021 cohort students of the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo. This research employed a quantitative approach with an associative design involving 66 respondents selected using the Slovin formula. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed through validity, reliability, normality, linearity, simple linear regression, t-test, and coefficient of determination using IBM SPSS Statistics 26. The results showed that most respondents had moderate levels of academic resilience and thesis completion effectiveness. Simple linear regression analysis indicated a positive and significant effect of academic resilience on thesis completion effectiveness (p = 0.000), with an R Square value of 0.470. This finding indicates that academic resilience contributed 47.0% to the effectiveness of thesis completion, while the remaining 53.0% was influenced by other factors not examined in this study.
