This community service activity provided preparation support for the Academic Ability Test (Tes Kemampuan Akademik/TKA) in Sociology for students of SMAN 1 Kota Pekalongan on 15–16 October 2025. It addressed the practical need to connect sociological concepts with the analytical and contextual demands of test questions. The activity combined a short conceptual seminar, structured practice questions, guided analysis of question stems, peer discussion, feedback, and end-session reflection. The questions were discussed in relation to the official TKA Sociology cognitive levels: knowing, applying, and reasoning. Evaluation was formative and descriptive, drawing on observations of students’ participation, identification of key words and relevant concepts, explanation of answer choices, and links between sociological concepts and social cases. The activity record describes students engaging in these processes during guided discussion. However, it does not include participant-level pre-test and post-test scores or a standardized scoring rubric; therefore, the magnitude of any improvement and a causal effect cannot be established. The activity offers a context-specific model of learning support that can be strengthened through documented baseline assessment and follow-up evaluation.
