Zad Al-Ummah is a Journal of Community Service published twice a year (per semester) by the Pusat Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat (P3M) of the Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Al-Quran (STIQ) ZAD Cianjur. Obviously, this journal was developed to realize the Tri Dharma of Higher Education of the ZAD College of Quranic Sciences and Tafsir Study Program, managed by experts and academics in the field of Quranic Sciences and Tafsir. In line with the vision of this journal which focuses on the results of community service in the field of Al-Quran and Tafsir science, by publishing the results of community service in the form of other actual community service programs related to the study of Al-Quran and Tafsir science.

Abstract

This community service aims to provide training to individuals to increase social awareness and involvement in militant organizations. This training program is designed to shape participants into socially responsible beings, have sensitivity to social issues, and can contribute positively in the context of militant organizations. The methods used include training sessions, group discussions, simulations, and the formation of joint action projects.

Abstract

Research and publication of scientific articles are core elements in academic development and quality improvement of higher education. Lecturers as the spearhead in the academic world have an important role in this process. Therefore, community service in the form of training in writing scientific articles for lecturers is an inevitable step to improve the capacity and quality of their research. This article discusses scientific article writing training for lecturers as one of the community service efforts in improving their research competence.

Abstract

Slaughtering sacrificial animals is a great and special act of worship performed by Muslims on Eid al-Adha. The procedure and process of this slaughter must be based on the provisions of Islamic law. So that the main reference in the implementation of this service is the Al-Quran and saheeh prophetic traditions. The purpose of this community service event is to socialize the procedures for slaughtering qurban animals according to the Al-Quran and hadith to Muslims who live in the STIQ ZAD Campus area; so that their qurban worship is valid and accepted in the sight of Allah. The method of implementing this service is in two ways, namely the delivery of material (theory) and direct practice. The results of this community service are: First, the delivery of material on how to slaughter qurban animals runs smoothly. Second, the process of practicing slaughtering qurban animals is in accordance with Islamic law. Third, the distribution of qurban animals to the community runs without obstacles and gets a positive response from the Muslim community in the STIQ ZAD Campus area, Cianjur.

Abstract

This service journal aims to discuss efforts to empower santri in maintaining mosque cleanliness as a form of service to society and religious communities. Mosque cleanliness is an important aspect of maintaining the honour and cleanliness of places of worship in Islam, and the involvement of santri in maintaining mosque cleanliness is a proactive step towards achieving this goal. The results show that involving santri in maintaining the cleanliness of the mosque through the empowerment programme has a significant positive impact. The programme not only improves the cleanliness of the mosque, but also helps to increase the santri's sense of responsibility towards religion and community. In addition, the programme also increases community awareness about the importance of keeping mosques clean.

Abstract

This service aims to explore the various kinds of impacts and changes that arise in children's personalities and Qur'anic learning This service method uses field methods. Based on the results of the service, the use of smartphones is very risky to cause various impacts on children's personalities and their Qur'anic learning. Among them are the impact of games, social media, and non-scientific content that can cause addiction and attitude changes in the child's own personality. These changes are also very visible in their Qur'anic learning, this happens because of the loss of focus and willingness of a child to learn the Qur'an when they are exposed to addiction to smartphone devices. However, with proper use and supervision, the use of smartphones can also be a useful tool and medium in the educational and spiritual development of children.

Abstract

Qur'anic learning with the Talqin method is Qur'anic learning in which an Ustadz or Qur'anic teacher dictates the recitation of the Qur'an to the participants in accordance with the rules of tajweed, Waqaf rules, and Ibtida. This article aims to describe the effectiveness of learning the Qur'an with the Talqin method. This service reveals the effectiveness of learning the Qur'an using the Talqin method to TPQ students at the Abdullah bin Mas`ud Mosque and the Miftahul Hidayah Cibodas Cianjur Mosque. The results of this service show the effectiveness of the Talqin method for Qur'an learners at the Abdullah bin Mas`ud Mosque and the Miftahul Hidayah Cibodas Mosque.

Abstract

The month of Ramadan is a very noble month with various special privilege. This privilege can only be achieved by those who are serious about bringing it to life through worship and good deeds. Therefore, community service in the form of talk shows around the month of Ramadan is very important for the community. The purpose of this community service event is to increase the spirit of worship of the students of SMK Al-Fath Cibeber and SMA Negeri 1 Cibeber in the holy month of Ramadan. The method for implementing this service is by opening a discussion forum or conversation about the month of Ramadan led by a moderator. The results of this community service are: First, this service activity ran smoothly. Second, the material presented by the speaker can be understood well by the audience. Third, this service activity ran without problems and received a positive response from the community and gave a good impression.

Abstract

One form of community service through real work lectures (KKN) is the contribution of students in overcoming problems that occur in society. This service aims to increase environmental awareness and educate the community through the Al-Qur'an education program in Medan's large villages. The method used in this service is observation. KKN students participated in teaching and learning activities, held Qur'an-based seminars and educated children about the importance of learning the Qur'an. The results of the service show that through KKN, community awareness in improving Qur'anic education has increased significantly. The community began to understand the importance of Qur'an-based education. Children also showed an increase in knowledge about Qur'anic education.

Abstract

The tarawih cultum is a short lecture delivered before or after the tarawih prayer, which is a momentum in conveying religious messages to the tarawih prayer congregation. The purpose of this service is to describe the role of tarawih cultum as a means of spreading da'wah. This service uses a descriptive analysis method to describe the role of the Tarawih Kultum. The results of the service show the role of the tarawih cultum for Muslims in increasing devotion in the holy month of Ramadan and adding insight into Islam which is an obligation for every Muslim.
