Abstract

Background: The handling of the major disaster that occurred in the city of Palu still leaves polemics, currently there are still people living in temporary housing who hope to receive proper compensation. There is no reason to turn away from the major disaster that occurred in the city of Palu. What is interesting is that even though it is given seriousness, it is known that the policy has reached a dead end in implementing the policy in the field, several polemics have not been resolved to date, so that the rehabilitation and reconstruction policy for affected residents has not gone according to plan as it should, the facts show that among those affected by the disaster, there are those who have lost their place. lived as a result of a disaster, whether his house was buried in the ground. due to liquefaction, it was washed away. clean due to strong tsunami waves or collapsed due to an earthquake on a powerful scale, found still screaming in refugee camps, they still live in the midst of uncertainty. Results: This research uses a qualitative research approach, paying attention to the information transmission section, by examining all important parts of the policies adopted and distributed to all stakeholders, especially the scope in correctly identifying all possibilities for the policies chosen, in the form of contradictions, agreements and deviations or differences. interpretation at the implementing level and the wider community, answering the extent to which the bureaucratic hierarchy provides strong support in implementing policies, the ability of stakeholders to define policies and capture important policy information. Conclusion: The shocking exposure regarding disaster management caused a lot of losses, gave rise to a lot of polemics, interpretations and policy choices that invited risk, handling disasters with new mechanisms that ignored conventional methods then gave rise to multiple interpretations, giving rise to debate, this then had an impact on the condition of the existing bureaucratic hierarchy as if -if they do not provide strong support in implementing the policy, this creates a deadlock in defining the relocation policy.

Abstract

The use of treadmill exercise in cardiovascular research played a vital role in assessing heart health and determining appropriate exercise regimens for patients. Before applying these regimens to humans, experiments on animals, such as white rats or mice, were conducted to simulate human cardiovascular responses. A specialized treadmill designed for experimental animals was required to determine exercise doses based on individual abilities. This process involved controlling the treadmill speed, which was generated by a conveyor driven by a DC motor. The motor speed was regulated through PID (Proportional Integral Derivative) control, while encoder sensors monitored the motor’s rotation speed, and limit switch sensors determined the exercise duration. This article reviewed the design and implementation of treadmill systems used for animal-based cardiovascular research, focusing on the control of DC motor speed using PID controllers. Previous studies that contributed to the development of such systems were discussed, with an emphasis on the precise control mechanisms required to simulate exercise conditions tailored to the subject's abilities. The treadmill system also incorporated sensors to accurately adjust motor speed and track exercise duration, ensuring alignment with the physiological capabilities of the test subjects. Furthermore, this review explored the potential for advancing research on treadmill control systems, offering insights into how this technology could support medical experts in determining optimal exercise regimens for white rats. These developments helped bridge the gap between animal-based studies and human applications, facilitating improved cardiovascular research outcomes.

Abstract

Human health depends on choosing food ingredients that align with dietary needs and avoid allergens. However, consumers often encounter unfamiliar ingredients that require additional information. Traditionally, they search online by typing in the ingredient's name which can be time-consuming and may not yield relevant results. Therefore, a system to identify and display ingredient information is necessary. This study proposes a new system that identifies ingredients by scanning the composition label on packaging using PaddleOCR and retrieving information through ChatGPT on a smartphone. The process begins with capturing an image of the composition label. Then PaddleOCR is employed to extract text from the scanned label, enabling identification of the listed ingredients. Subsequently, ChatGPT retrieves detailed information about the desired ingredients and displays it, allowing users to easily understand the ingredients. The system's effectiveness in text recognition is assessed using the character error rate (CER). The results show robust performance by achieving an average CER of 0.14, with flat packaging reaching an impressive CER of 0.05. Additionally, the system's usability was assessed through pilot testing which received significant positive user feedback achieving 4.37 satisfaction level on Likert scale, particularly regarding the clarity and relevance of the ingredient information provided.
