Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of the public information disclosure (PID) practices at the local governmental level.  It was carried out in two municipalities in Central Java Province, namely, Magelang and Semarang Cities.  The results of the study found many different outcomes in practicing PID in both cities.  Compared to Semarang City, Magelang City is still lagging in infrastructure, system of technology and readiness of human resources in the area of information disclosure. The study revealed that PID tends to influence the commitment of local government official to be transparent, as the authority holder in providing information.  In the Semarang City case, the local leader and his public officials are seriously handling this policy. The strong willingness of the local leader leads to implement of the regulation, establish proper infrastructure and provide skilled officers.  As the result, local government administration is likely to be more accountable, transparent and thereby achieved higher public trust. The lesson learned is the more willing local leaders implement public information disclosure, the more accountable the local government becomes.

Abstract

This study for the first time examines the relationship between health information inequalities and child healthcare access in Indonesia, a developing country has been cited as one biggest emerging Internet users in the world. Data come from the Indonesian National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) 2013, which comprises 1.25 million individuals, 250 thousands households, and 497 districts. The results of descriptive and instrumental variable analysis indicate trend of widening disparities across socio-economic status and geographical areas in Internet and child immunisation access. A strong evidence for the causal flow running from a mother’s access to Internet to child immunisation is found. All instruments are highly correlated with mother’s access to Internet but uncorrelated with child immunisation. Supply factors across districts – particularly village health posts (posyandu) – are associated with child immunisation. The results are robust against individual, household and district socio-economic characteristics associated with child immunisation access. The results suggest that increasing mother’s access to Internet may bridge child immunisation disparities in Indonesia.

Abstract

There are many databases projects used by numerous number of organizations. However, embedding business intelligence, BI, technique is a qualitative impact and quite important factor to improve such project’s results and performance. Modern data mining algorithms have dramatically changed our business work, data model and the way we develop software projects. A database application that manages students’ attendance used in university classes is the objective scope that we adopt and work on in this paper. The main key of interest in this research is to improve such attendance system by participating one of data mining classification technique in which we then have a useful learned information and predicted reports about future students’ attendance. Beside this intelligent trait, our work would be crowned with pictorial analytic results that encourage us to have modern and well-mannered intelligent database application.

Data Puskesmas in Leyangan Ungaran Village there are 140 elderly who become built Posyandu Lansia Leyangan working area Puskesmas Leyangan . Approximately 70% of these numbers have degenerative disease problems such as stiffness in the joints and joint pain. The purpose of this study was to identify the complaints in the joints especially the elderly knee, so that will be developed information media by providing isotonic exercise appropriate and conducted intervention in elderly with complaints on the knee joint. The method used in the first stage is cluster random sampling technique of 103 elderly, second stage with purposive sampling technique at 15 elderly given intervention of isotonic movement exercise. Data were collected using questionnaire, measurement of motion range using Goniometer measured pre and post intervention, isotonic information and training media, isotonic exercise kits exercise equipment (isotonic exercise kits). Then tested by paired test t with result of difference of range of motion on right knee (p value 0.02) big difference 4.67. There is a difference of motion range on left knee (p value 0.02) big difference of 8.00. Keywords: Isotonic motion exercises, Range of motion, Knee joints, Elderly

Abstract

Implementation of health information systems (HIS) has resulted in multiple duties for health professionals as health care workers and HIS operators. This dual task can lead to increased effort for them, which can lead to resistance to HIS, either actively or passively. Both must be handled seriously because it often leads to the failure of HIS implementation. Meanwhile, passive resistance must be cautioned because in the early stages it is usually unknown to managers that it fails to be anticipated and worsens. As a strategic solution, organizations must always maintain and improve organizational support for users. Keywords: Health information systems, Passive resistance, Organizational support
