Abstract

Smartphone is a mobile that can facilitate users in interacting with other users. Nowadays, people can't spend a day without their smartphones due to increased productivity when using it. But, behind the development of information technology and telecommunications which seems favorable, on the other side this development can be done by the developers of smartphone by processing users's information which they obtain from the user's smartphone with their own policy without the knowledge of the user. This can be detrimental to users of the smartphone because they can't control the policies of information privacy that can be accessed by the developer. This research aims to analyze the factors that influenced the understanding of the information privacy of smartphone users at XYZ using the mobile user's information privacy concerns (MUIPC), this research used 8 latent variables and 26 manifest variables. The data was collected from the active smartphone users with the age ranged above 17 years old at XYZ with 278 respondents. Data analysis methods that used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). From the results, showed that factor understanding of the privacy information on smartphone users at XYZ was influenced by the variables Prior Privacy Experience, Secondary Use of Personal Info, Perceived Surveillance, and Perceived Intrusion.

Abstract

Choosing food has become a challenge for those who are presented with new food choices. Classification is important for those who have a strict diet regarding food that they consume. Food selection is essential for those who are visually impaired to identify food items. The classification process in this research is initiated with the pre-processing of the image, resulting in a segmented image which is then continued with feature extraction where Hue Saturation Value (HSV) for color extraction and Gray Level Co-Occurence Matrix (GLCM) for texture features. Based on features that have been extracted the next step is to gather relevant features using Information gain to reduce the workload. The last process is classification, using K-Nearest Neighbor. Accuracy results are 95,24% at best using only HSV with k=1 for feature selection. A combination of HSV and GLCM using Information gain results in a accuracy from 57,14% to 87,61%. This also applies to only using GLCM with information gain that raises the accuracy from 57,14% to. 74,28%. With the previous statement taken into consideration, Information Gain as a feature selection method increases accuracy with a significant amount and is able to obtain relevant feature if the list of features is abundant. If there are only a few features used, the accuracy increment is not that significant but it decreases the workload of the system.

Abstract

Indonesian Language Subjects are generally regarded as easy lessons and do not need to be studied by students and society. Based on this, various learning problems arose involving instructors, Indonesian language subjects, students who received lessons, teaching methods, facilities, ways to obtain, and the objectives of Indonesian language learning (Moeljono, 1989). The difference between each student in different learning differences. This causes the teacher to have limitations in measuring the level of understanding of students. Then a system is needed to predict the level of understanding of students. This prediction uses the classification method with the Naive Bayes algorithm. The class that will be used in this study is that students understand, are quite understanding and lack understanding. In this study, the authors used the Information Gain (IG) feature selection. The selected feature will be processed with the Naive Bayes classification algorithm, then the accuracy will be seen if it is not maximized, then the previous feature selection process will be done again to get the desired verification. From the tests that have been conducted, the results obtained which have a Gain value of more than 0.2 have the largest rating, reaching 90%. The features chosen from 17 included features of family members, residence status, mother's work, caregivers, family support, joining extracurricular activities, repeating lessons at home, length of study at home, reading at home, reading time at home.

Abstract

Food classification is a classic problem that still becomes an interest for many researchers. Several studies have been conducted using only one type of food, which is fruit as the object of the classification. This research was conducted to improve the previous ones. This study uses five types of single food as its object. The method used is color feature extraction using YUV Color Moment, texture feature extraction using Haralick, and feature selection using Information Gain. The classification algorithm is K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN). The highest accuracy obtained is 94.26% obtained from the combined features of the two selected feature extraction methods. From these results, it can be concluded that the application of a combination of feature extraction methods, namely color and texture, and feature selection method greatly influence the food image classification process.

Abstract

Handling information security management is an absolute thing to do for organizations that have information systems to support the organization's operations. Information systems consisting of assets both software and hardware that manage data and information that are spread over networks and the internet, make it vulnerable to threats. Therefore investment and costs are needed to secure it. Costs incurred for this need are not small, but investment expenditures and information security costs carried out need serious handling to be more effective and on target. The System Dynamics Model is used to evaluate alternative strategies to demonstrate the effectiveness of investment and the cost of managing information security through simulation of policy changes. System Dynamics are methods for describing models and systems analysis that are dynamic and complex, consisting of variables that influence each other in the form of causal relationships and feedback between variables that are either reinforcing or giving balance. Simulation using a dynamic system model in this study illustrates that the management of risk assessment followed by vulnerability reduction efforts has a very large impact on the management of information security. By making a difference in the value of security tools investment, this provides an alternative choice in information security risk management investments to achieve the effectiveness of the overall costs incurred in managing information security
