Abstract

This study examines the evolution and management of zakat, a fundamental Islamic practice aimed at wealth redistribution and economic empowerment. It highlights the significance of productive zakat of Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (BAZNAS), which supports recipients (mustahīq) in engaging in sustainable business activities, thereby fostering economic independence. Utilizing Participatory Action Research (PAR) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), the research develops a model for zakat distribution that aligns with regional potentials, particularly in Bengkulu province, Indonesia. The findings reveal a predominance of consumptive zakat, yet an increasing trend towards productive allocations, especially for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Challenges such as inadequate irrigation and agricultural equipment were identified, necessitating targeted interventions. The proposed zakat model emphasizes collaboration among stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness and sustainability. This research contributes to the discourse on zakat management, advocating for a shift towards productive initiatives that empower mustahīq and promote economic resilience. Future studies should assess the model's applicability across diverse Indonesian contexts to further optimize zakat distribution systems.

Abstract

This review is to describe the remote health information system related to falls in the elderly used at home. We conducted a literature review using the Population Content Context (PCC) method. The databases used include EBSCOHost, Cochrane, and Scopus. The keywords used are (telehealth OR telemedicine OR telenursing OR m-health OR e-health) AND (elderly OR geriatric) AND falls AND home. The article selection process was done with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) protocol. As a result, 2.587 publications were identified and screened using the inclusion criteria. The assessment of article quality is conducted through assessment by design and manual assessment. The final result was 18 articles. The results of the article identification discussed the risk of falls, falls prevention, fall events, fear of falls, and response to falls with elderly respondents aged ≥ 55 years. So, there are various types of technologies used, namely sensor-based, phone calls, video conferencing, web, applications, force plates (style plates), tablet computers, smartphones, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Virtual Reality (VR). The remote health information system has been proven to provide many benefits related to falls on the elderly at home.

Abstract

The Digital Transmitter Monitoring Information System for the TVRI East Java Transmission Unit is developed to enhance efficiency in recording and monitoring transmitter conditions, which were previously documented manually using logbooks. This system is designed to facilitate operators in recording technical transmitter data and assist technicians in the failure analysis process. The development method used is the Scrum methodology, allowing the system to be developed iteratively with improvements based on user feedback. System testing is conducted using Black-Box Testing to ensure all features function according to user requirements, while system acceptance evaluation is carried out using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to measure the system's usability and ease of use. The testing results indicate that all system features function properly without significant errors. The TAM evaluation produced an average score of 84.5% for perceived usefulness and 86.5% for perceived ease of use, indicating that the system is well accepted by users. With key features such as transmitter data recording, reporting, employee performance tracking, and data export, this system is expected to help TVRI East Java monitor digital transmitters more effectively and efficiently. Compared to the previous manual logbook system, this digital-based approach reduces dependency on physical documentation, minimizes the risk of data loss, and improves accessibility for operators and technicians. By enabling centralized data storage and streamlined reporting, the system ensures that monitoring activities are more structured, responsive, and cost-effective.

Abstract

The motivation for this research stems from the significant impact of information technology on education, ushering in a new era of development. However, this technological advancement has not been accompanied by a proportional increase in human resources, creating a need for systemic changes to expedite improvements and achieve quality education objectives. This study aims to analyze the planning, organization, implementation, supervision, and influencing factors (both supportive and detrimental) of an e-learning-based academic management information system, as well as its impact on enhancing learning quality at MAN 1 Bandung. Utilizing a qualitative methodology, the research findings indicate that the e-learning-based Academic Management Information System positively affects learning quality through engaging slide presentations and effective teaching methods, enabling both teachers and students to participate in a serious yet enjoyable learning process. the result shows that the implementation of e-learning in Islamic Religious Education can significantly enrich students' learning experiences and facilitate wider access to teaching materials. The conclusion is that effective implementation of e-learning platforms, coupled with strategic management and quality control, is crucial for optimizing educational outcomes and fostering a dynamic learning environment.

Abstract

This study addresses shifting urban mobility trends as digital platforms gain prominence while traditional transport like the becak remains essential for reaching densely populated neighborhoods. The research aims to develop an Android‑based online becak booking system using UML to systematically define comprehensive functional requirements and workflows. The methodology comprised requirement analysis, a Waterfall‑based SDLC, and UML Use Case and Activity Diagrams to outline interactions among administrators, customers, and drivers and to specify feature workflows. The resulting design supports user registration, authentication, seamless booking, detailed real‑time location tracking, cost and time estimation, continuous feedback and reporting. Efficiency is achieved through fully automated order lifecycles and robust data security via strict login verification and authorization controls. Additionally, GPS-powered nearest-becak search and an easy-to-use UI improve inclusive mobility. Future enhancements include field testing, user‑centric UX studies, and machine‑learning integration for optimized driver assignment and predictive arrival‑time prediction.

Abstract

Perceived service quality and information quality are considered fundamental elements that play a crucial role in fostering close relationships between institutions and their consumers, particularly in the context of online transactions. This study aims to analyze how perceived service quality and information quality influence purchase intention using trust as a mediating variable. This study employs a quantitative approach with the applied analytical method being Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using the SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results indicate that trust significantly mediates the relationship between perceived service quality and information quality on purchase intention among Shopee app users. The analysis reveals that perceived service quality and information quality directly and significantly influence purchase intention in a positive manner. Trust plays a mediating role. These findings reinforce the concept that trust plays a crucial role as a link between consumers' perceptions of service quality and information quality and their online purchase intentions. The study's results have strategic implications for e-commerce practitioners, particularly Shopee administrators, to consistently maintain service quality, improve product information accuracy, and build trust through transaction security. Thus, companies can foster long-term loyalty amid competition.

Abstract

Chronological records of events in the Emergency Department (IGD) are often unstructured, resulting in incomplete data and External Cause coding errors (ICD-10). This research aims to develop a prototype of a web-based information system to facilitate the chronological recording of events in a standardized manner, thereby improving the accuracy of codification. The development method uses the Waterfall model with the stages of needs analysis, design (context diagram, DFD, ERD), implementation (HTML, Bootstrap, Flask, SQLite), and Blackbox testing. As a result, the system provides a structured interface for the input of incident data (accidents, violence) and generates automated PDF reports that are ready for codefinition. Functional testing shows all modules (data inputs, filters, generated reports) are operating as expected. The system has the potential to reduce coding errors based on related literature studies, while supporting integration with Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Recommendations for advanced research include clinical trials and the development of artificial intelligence features for automated code recommendations.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a GIS-based thematic mapping learning module at the West Java Provincial Social Service. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method with the Dick and Carey model, which consists of 10 stages of processing and five categories, namely very good, good, moderate, less, and poor. The research variables used include usability aspects such as self-contained, stand-alone, adaptive, and user-friendly, as well as effectiveness, efficiency, learning appeal, and module quality elements like module format or framework. The software used in developing the module is the Quantum Geographic Information System (QGIS). The data analysis technique used to determine the feasibility of the module is a quantitative descriptive analysis technique. The data analyzed includes feasibility data with individual trials, small group trials, and field trials. Based on the results, it was found that the thematic mapping module on the social aspect based on GIS is included in the good to very good category, with a percentage value of 76% to 94%. The results of module development are very suitable for learning thematic mapping on the social aspect by utilizing GIS technology. Social data is usually very suitable to be presented in the form of choropleth maps or diagrams. Other thematic maps can be used, but they must be adjusted to the characteristics of the social data to be visualized.

Abstract

Background: Technological developments are keeping pace with the increasingly complex needs of society. For example, in university libraries, academics demand information technology to effectively support learning and research activities.Purpose: To analyze publication development, country distribution, the most productive authors, and publication theme trends based on the co-occurrence of keywords related to the research topic.Methods: This study uses quantitative analysis with bibliometric data from the Scopus database and the VOSviewer application.Results: This study shows an increase in publications related to the topic of information technology application in university libraries in 2021. This was influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic, which necessitated information technology-based online services to meet the needs of the academic community. However, publications declined again in 2025 as the research focus shifted to AI and other emerging issues, aligning with current trends. The country with the highest contribution was China, and the most productive author, Chen, Y., also came from China. This can be attributed to the Chinese government's push to accelerate the digitization of higher education. The most frequently discussed keywords were 'information technology,' 'university libraries,' and 'libraries.' Meanwhile, 'smart libraries' was one of the least researched keywords.Conclusion: This study concludes that developing information technology in university libraries is important for creating more efficient, effective, sustainable, and up-to-date services. Future research could analyze similar keywords using different databases or explore rarely researched keywords to obtain more diverse results.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Surabaya encounter persistent challenges in conducting objective evaluations of employee performance. To address this issue, the present study introduces the application of the Behaviorally Anchored Rating Scale (BARS), employing both qualitative and quantitative approaches supported by Information Technology (IT). BARS enables performance appraisal based on specific and observable work behaviors, thereby mitigating subjectivity and enhancing the fairness of evaluations. The integration of IT further streamlines data collection processes while reducing administrative complexity. In this study, an open-source web-based application was developed and customized to align with the operational requirements of MSMEs. The primary objective is to design and implement a performance evaluation system grounded in BARS and IT, supporting MSMEs in the formulation of realistic performance benchmarks and more effective human resource management practices. The research methodology adopts the ADDIE Research and Development model, encompassing the phases of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. System reliability was assessed through black box testing, with results indicating validity and consistency across all scenarios. The findings confirm the successful deployment of a multi-user web application capability in facilitating efficient, accurate, and systematic employee performance evaluations within MSMEs
