Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of (1) E-commerce, (2) the use of Accounting Information Systems and (3) Business Capital on student decision making for entrepreneurship. The research method uses quantitative. The study used primary data with a questionnaire. Students of the accounting study program at Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo University with as many as 88 respondents were the population in this study. Purposive sampling technique used in determining the sample. SPSS version 23.0 software assistance in data processing. In analyzing the data using multiple linear regression method. The results of the study prove that (1) E-commerce and (2) the use of accounting information systems have an influence on students' decision making for entrepreneurship, while (3) venture capital has no influence on entrepreneurial decisions.

Abstract

This study employs a quantitative descriptive method to assess the effectiveness of Instagram as a communication medium for Vlapictura, a service-oriented business. With a population of 3018 Instagram followers, 96 respondents were sampled using a questionnaire-based data collection technique. The research focuses on evaluating the quality of use, information, interaction, and overall impression of Vlapictura's Instagram presence. The findings reveal that Vlapictura excels in the quality of use and performs exceptionally well in terms of information, interaction, and overall impression. This study contributes valuable insights into the efficacy of Instagram for service businesses, emphasizing its role in enhancing communication and engagement. Highlights : Strategic Use of Instagram: The study emphasizes the strategic utilization of Instagram as a powerful communication medium for businesses in the service sector. Quality of Interaction: Findings underscore the importance of maintaining high-quality interaction on Instagram to enhance overall impressions and engage effectively with the audience. Abstract

This quantitative research investigates the dynamics of the human resource information system (HRIS), organizational citizenship behavior (OCB), and organizational communication in bolstering organizational effectiveness. A sample of 100 employees served as the basis of the study, and analytical tools such as classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, F-test, T-test, and determinant coefficients were employed with the help of SPSS software. Primary data, garnered from questionnaires utilizing a Likert scale, ensured validity and reliability. The results manifested that HRIS and organizational communication substantially contributed to organizational effectiveness, while OCB had a less significant effect. Furthermore, the study illuminated a combined effect of HRIS, OCB, and organizational communication on organizational effectiveness. Among the variables, organizational communication was identified as the most significant factor. The study highlights the potential of effectively managed communication, alongside HRIS and OCB, to optimize organizational effectiveness. The implications thus emphasize the need for enhanced organizational communication practices, OCB, and HRIS implementation for improved organizational performance. Highlights: Organizational communication emerged as the most significant contributor to organizational effectiveness, underscoring the importance of effective internal communication practices. The Human Resource Information System (HRIS), despite its significant influence, indicates the need for technological enhancement in managing human resources for improved organizational performance. The study highlighted the potential of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) in boosting organizational effectiveness, even though its impact was less significant compared to other variables. Abstract

This study aims to improve and expedite healthcare services for inpatients at Siti Suaibah Clinic in Krian. By implementing an effective Inpatient Information System, the study sought to provide accurate, efficient, and effective patient care. The research methodology involved data processing and analysis, resulting in several findings. The system facilitated patient data management, including medical histories, treatment schedules, and procedures. However, challenges such as development and maintenance costs, training for medical staff, and data security concerns were identified. Overall, the study highlights the benefits and implications of implementing the Inpatient Information System, emphasizing the need for careful planning and management. The outcome underscores the significance of optimizing healthcare services through innovative technology. Abstract

This descriptive analytical study investigates the pivotal role of information and communication systems in enhancing the quality of medical services, drawing upon the perspectives of employees at Medical City Complex. Employing a semi-experimental approach with 40 participants from the Department of Medicine, the research delves into the understanding of information and communication systems and quality medical care. The study employs a three-section questionnaire, encompassing demographic information, dimensions of healthcare quality, and dimensions of information and communication systems. Validity and reliability of the questionnaire were rigorously established. The findings unveil significant trends, particularly in factors such as age and years of service, illustrating their links to healthcare quality and information and communication systems. Detailed analyses of healthcare quality dimensions (Tangibles, Reliability, and Assurance) and information system aspects (Management, Organization, and Information Technology) are presented. The study concludes by elucidating the impact of independent variables on dependent variables, providing invaluable insights for future research and decision-making in the healthcare sector, ultimately enhancing the quality of medical care and information systems. Abstract

Diabetes is regarded as a serious illness, and early detection enhances patient treatment and quality of life. This research develops a convolutional neural network for diabetes detection using fundus images from the IDRID image set. The convolutional neural network's performance analysis is applied to cross-validation and comparison with other patterns found in earlier research using techniques including Random Forest, Extra Trees, SVM, and AdaBoost. Our CNN pattern consists of an input layer, three convolutional layers, three pooling layers, two fully connected layers, and an output layer with two neurons. An accuracy of 83.50% was obtained from the evaluation of the convolutional neural network pattern using 103 photos, which is better than the results of earlier research. Highlights: CNN developed for diabetes detection using IDRiD fundus images. Compared with RF, ET, SVM, and AdaBoost via cross-validation. Abstract

General Background: Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are pivotal to economic development, yet often struggle with financial inefficiencies. Specific Background: In Arab countries such as Egypt, Jordan, and Iraq, SMEs face compounded challenges due to outdated financial practices and limited technological integration. Knowledge Gap: While AIS benefits are well documented in developed economies, limited comparative research exists on their impact in Arab SMEs, particularly regarding performance metrics and adoption barriers. Aims: This study investigates the influence of Accounting Information Systems (AIS) on financial performance, operational efficiency, and decision-making among SMEs in Egypt, Jordan, and Iraq. Results: Using mixed methods, the study reveals that AIS adoption significantly improves financial reporting accuracy (up to 50% error reduction), saves 12–20 weekly hours on financial tasks, and lowers operational costs by 18–25% annually. Regression analysis confirms statistically significant positive impacts across all metrics, strongest in Egypt, moderate in Jordan, and weakest in Iraq due to infrastructural and political constraints. Novelty: The study offers a cross-country comparative analysis within the Arab context and develops a model linking AIS adoption to specific performance outcomes. Implications: Findings support targeted policy interventions, training programs, and infrastructure development to enhance AIS adoption, thus strengthening SME competitiveness and regional economic resilience.Highlight : AIS adoption improved financial accuracy, cut costs by up to 25%, and saved 12–20 hours weekly. Key barriers include high implementation costs, skill gaps, and resistance to change. Egypt showed the strongest AIS benefits; Iraq lagged due to infrastructure and political issues. Abstract

General background: The acceleration of digital transformation in Indonesia’s industrial sector requires effective information systems to support governance, data integration, and decision-making. Specific background: The National Industrial Information System (SIINas) was developed to meet these needs; however, its utilization in East Java remains suboptimal due to limited understanding, low awareness, and uneven adoption among industrial companies. Knowledge gap: Existing studies on technology adoption using the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework rarely examine SIINas, particularly regarding how adoption influences user satisfaction at the regional level. Aims: This study analyzes how technological, organizational, and environmental factors affect SIINas adoption and how adoption subsequently impacts user satisfaction. Results: Using a quantitative approach with PLS-SEM and 76 respondents, findings show that all three TOE dimensions significantly influence technology adoption, with environmental factors having the strongest effect. Adoption also demonstrates a strong, significant impact on user satisfaction. Novelty: This study provides the first integrated TOE–user satisfaction evaluation of SIINas at the provincial level. Implications: The results highlight the need for stronger environmental support, organizational readiness, and technological capability to enhance SIINas adoption and improve user experience within the industrial sector. Abstract

General Background: In the era of digital transformation, efficient industrial asset maintenance is critical to meeting global competitiveness demands. Specific Background: Heavy equipment in sectors like construction, plantations, and agriculture requires significant investment and continuous maintenance, yet many companies still rely on manual, unscheduled, and reactive practices. Knowledge Gap: Limited research addresses the direct integration of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) with real-time, data-driven maintenance information systems tailored for heavy equipment operations. Aims: This study aims to develop and implement an integrated TPM-based heavy equipment maintenance information system to improve productivity, reduce downtime, and enhance decision-making. Results: Using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method, the system identified performance gaps, with the highest OEE at 97% (Truck) and the lowest at 14% (Roller), enabling targeted maintenance actions. The integration reduced downtime, optimized resource use, and provided predictive insights. Novelty: Unlike prior studies focusing solely on TPM theory or measurement, this work delivers a practical, field-ready, IT-enabled solution directly integrated into daily heavy equipment operations. Implications: The approach offers a scalable model for other industries, supporting sustainable asset management through predictive, data-driven maintenance strategies.Highlight : Integrating TPM with information systems reduces downtime and improves performance. OEE is used to measure the availability, performance, and quality of heavy equipment. The system facilitates real-time monitoring and maintenance decision-making. Abstract

Background (General): Management Information Systems (MIS) have become an essential component in modern organizations, particularly in the financial sector, where accurate and timely information is critical for decision-making and operational control. The banking industry, as one of the most data-driven sectors, relies heavily on MIS to ensure efficiency, security, and competitiveness. Background (Specific): In many banking institutions, challenges such as data redundancy, system inefficiency, and fragmented communication between departments still hinder optimal operations. These issues reduce productivity and limit the ability of banks to respond quickly to market dynamics and customer needs. Knowledge Gap: Although previous studies have highlighted the importance of information systems in banking, few have examined how MIS specifically contributes to integrating operational processes, improving managerial decision-making, and enhancing customer satisfaction within a dynamic digital environment. Aim: This study aims to analyze the role and impact of Management Information Systems in supporting operational effectiveness, improving coordination, and strengthening strategic management in banking operations. Results: The analysis reveals that effective implementation of MIS significantly improves operational accuracy, risk management, and service quality. Banks with well-integrated MIS systems demonstrate higher efficiency in transaction processing, faster decision-making, and greater transparency in financial reporting. Novelty: Unlike earlier studies that focus solely on technological aspects, this research emphasizes the holistic role of MIS in connecting human, technological, and managerial dimensions within banking institutions. Implications: The findings suggest that Management Information Systems serve as a vital foundation for banks to achieve sustainable performance and adaptability in the face of rapid digital transformation. Strengthening MIS infrastructure and human capacity can further enhance innovation and competitiveness in the banking industry.
