Abstract

This study aims to design and develop an information system for digital archiving to optimize and streamline access to archival records using a centralized database. The final outcome is a fully functional archiving system constructed with PHP and MySQL, applying the Total Architecture Synthesis (TAS) method. Data collection involved interviews, literature reviews, observation, and system testing. The analysis identified several major constraints: the high volume of incoming case files, lack of documentation on file custodians, limited accessibility of data, and difficulty for leadership to monitor case files in the Special Crime Unit of the Palembang City Police. In addition, vulnerability to file loss and prolonged data searches were common. The proposed solution, designed using object-oriented methods and the TAS framework, produced a web-based information system capable of online operation. This system enhances performance within the Special Crime Unit by enabling secure, efficient, and accessible digital archiving.

Abstract

The library of Patra Mandiri 2 Junior High School in Palembang still employs manual data collection methods, where records such as book inventories and transactions are maintained using notebooks and paper-based systems. This approach is time-consuming and prone to human error, which negatively affects library management and service efficiency. To overcome these limitations, a computerized Library Information System (LIS) was developed by integrating QR Code (Quick Response Code) technology as the central component for data access and management. The QR Code serves as a primary key for retrieving book information, while a webcam functions as the QR Code scanner. The research was conducted at Patra Mandiri 2 Junior High School, located in the Pertamina Complex, Flamboyan Street, Sungai Gerong, Plaju District, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra 30763. The study applied a descriptive research method and utilized the Rapid Application Development (RAD) model for system development. The objective of this study is to build a web-based library information system that integrates QR Code technology to facilitate borrowing, returning, and reporting processes. The resulting system enables efficient, accurate, and accessible library operations for students and staff.

Abstract

Copyright is an exclusive right automatically granted to creators upon the realization of their work in a tangible form, in accordance with declarative legal principles and within the scope of existing legislation. Copyright infringement causes significant harm to creators, particularly through economic loss. Therefore, legal protection of copyright must be enforced effectively. Cinematographic works, such as films, are among the creative works protected by copyright law. However, in practice, digital piracy is prevalent, with many individuals illegally downloading or reproducing original films. The development of information technology has brought substantial benefits but also harmful effects, including the widespread occurrence of digital piracy. The lack of public awareness and understanding regarding copyright law enforcement contributes to persistent violations, including illegal film downloading. This study examines the legal and ethical implications of digital piracy and explores the enforcement of copyright law to address the issue of illegal downloading in Indonesia.

Abstract

Identity theft has become a major ethical and security issue in the digital era. The widespread use of information technology has enabled offenders to exploit personal information with increasing sophistication. Identity theft occurs when an individual’s personal data such as name, address, date of birth, or bank information is stolen and used without consent, often resulting in financial and reputational damage. This study identifies and analyzes ethical concerns arising from identity theft, emphasizing privacy violations and misuse of customer data. Using a literature study method, this paper reviews prior research on the causes, impacts, and mitigation of identity theft within the context of information ethics. The findings highlight that identity theft stems not only from technical vulnerabilities but also from moral negligence and weak regulatory enforcement. Strengthening data-protection policies, promoting digital ethics, and raising public awareness are essential steps toward reducing such crimes and preserving trust in information systems.
