Abstract

Jaya Muncul Spare Parts Store still uses a manual recording system which often causes errors in stock management and delays in ordering. This study aims to design and build a web based inventory information system using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method to assist in decision making for ordering spare parts. The system was developed with the Laravel framework and MySQL database using an Agile approach that allows an iterative development process. Blackbox testing results show that all functions run well, while the User Acceptance Test (UAT) obtained an average score of 89.97% in the “very good” category. The implementation of the EOQ method is proven to help make purchasing decisions, reducing the risk of stockouts and overstock. Integration of the Reorder Point (ROP) feature as a minimum notification, Safety Stock, and prediction of prices, demand, and stock of goods with Simple Moving Average (SMA). This system is considered effective as a tool to determine the number of purchases of goods at Toko Sparepart Jaya Muncul.

Abstract

The denture laboratory plays a crucial role in supporting dental clinic services, especially in providing prosthetic products that are delivered on time and meet the medical needs of patients. At Quality Dental Care Semarang, the management of job requests and the recording of service process statuses are still done manually, which can lead to delays in information flow, difficulties in monitoring job statuses, and obstacles in performance evaluation. This study aims to develop a web based information system for managing job requests and monitoring the services of the denture laboratory using PHP, HTML, and MySQL. Through the Research and Development (RAD) method, the stages involved include needs analysis, design, implementation, and functional testing. The developed system provides features for recording job requests, monitoring process statuses, recording completion times, and generating reports, all integrated into a single database. The results of functional testing show that this system successfully improves workflow organization, enhances information management efficiency, and facilitates job status monitoring.

Abstract

This study addresses the marketing challenges faced by “Risol Jiya,” a micro, small, and medium enterprise (UMKM) in Langkat Regency, which has not yet optimized a website as its primary marketing channel, resulting in limited market reach and low brand recognition. To address this problem, this study designs a website-based information system for optimizing UMKM product marketing using the Waterfall development method, covering requirements analysis, system design (use case, activity, and sequence diagrams), implementation using PHP and a MySQL database, black-box testing, and system maintenance. Testing success is measured using a validated test-case percentage formula, while marketing effectiveness is evaluated using a before-after growth percentage formula adapted from prior digital marketing studies. The resulting system provides a home page that functions as a digital storefront, a testimonial dashboard, contact and address information, and a product ordering page that operates according to the intended requirements. The findings show that the system successfully supports the marketing process and can help the UMKM increase market reach, product visibility, customer interaction, and its overall competitiveness.

Abstract

The Integrated Statistical Service (PST) at BPS East Lampung Regency handles a high volume of data requests from researchers, government agencies, students, and private institutions through its front-line channel, TANGKIS. This service currently relies on walk-in visits, manual logbook recording, and unstructured WhatsApp or email correspondence, causing delayed processing, inconsistent follow-up, difficult status tracking, and the absence of formal notification when requested data is ready. This study aims to design and develop a web-based TANGKIS information system with an automatic email notification feature to digitize and streamline the request workflow. The system was developed using the SDLC Waterfall model, with UML-based design, PHP and Laravel implementation, a MySQL database, and PHPMailer integrated with SMTP, then evaluated through Black Box Testing and a dedicated notification reliability assessment. Black Box Testing of 20 functional features achieved 100% validity, while 30 simulated requests reached a 100% email delivery rate with an average latency of 4.8 seconds, reducing data-readiness awareness time from one to three days to under one minute. These results imply that a low-cost, event-driven email notification architecture can meaningfully strengthen the efficiency, transparency, and responsiveness of statistical public service, supporting the digital transformation of regional government statistical services.

Abstract

Pawn services represent one of the fastest financial solutions for lower-middle-income communities. However, manual and non-transparent appraisal processes often create uncertainty for prospective customers regarding the valuation of pledged assets. This study aimed to design and develop a digital pawn information system that emphasized automated price appraisal features and online pawn applications. The system integrated an artificial intelligence (AI)-based automated appraisal engine with a human-in-the-loop approach, in which the system generated objective appraisal recommendations that were subsequently validated by administrators to ensure decision accuracy and accountability. The transparency indicator in this system was implemented by providing customers with a real-time estimated loan value range (minimum and maximum limits) based on measurable asset specifications, thereby reducing subjectivity during the initial assessment process. Key system features included a pawn value estimation calculator, a physical item photo documentation upload form to support remote verification, and a centralized management dashboard for application validation. The research findings are expected to reduce service waiting times compared with conventional methods and provide customers with greater certainty regarding estimated appraisal values before completing physical transactions.

Abstract

Technological advancements have encouraged Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to adopt e-commerce as a platform for conducting business. Through e-commerce, business owners can not only display and market their products but also manage business data and make more effective managerial decisions. This article discusses the role of e-commerce as a management information system in improving MSME performance. Using a literature review method based on various scientific journals and academic books, the study found that e-commerce significantly enhances the efficiency of data management. In addition to expanding market reach and accelerating transaction processes, e-commerce also helps reduce operational costs. Furthermore, MSMEs can monitor sales data in real time and gain a better understanding of customer preferences and needs. In conclusion, utilizing e-commerce as a centralized data management system is an effective strategy for enabling MSMEs to remain competitive in the digital era.
