Abstract

This community service program was implemented at the school-based SME unit of Saiburi Chaengpracakarn School, Sai Buri District, Pattani Province, Thailand, during the 07 – 15 September 2025. It was designed to enhance the understanding and managerial capacity of 25 teachers who manage the school's export-oriented SME unit in applying information technology-based management accounting to support the formulation of business strategy. The partners' main problems comprised limited capacity in preparing cost information, weak managerial control, and the absence of accurate, data-driven strategic decision-making. The program was implemented through a 9-hour intensive one-day training session, followed by intensive mentoring, and the simple adoption of an IT-based management accounting system using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. Using a researcher-developed instrument (three 10-item multiple-choice tests, one per construct, scored on a 0-100 scale) administered to all 25 participants, a Wilcoxon signed-rank test showed statistically significant post-training gains across all three assessed competencies: management accounting concepts (40.0 to 80.0; p = .021), IT-based cost recording (36.0 to 78.0; p = .010), and export pricing simulation (32.0 to 85.0; p = .015).

Abstract

Adolescent health problems are becoming increasingly complex, including high rates of smoking, anaemia, and early pregnancy, as well as low participation in health promotion and prevention activities such as Adolescent Health Posts (Posyandu Remaja). Limited access to information and a lack of engaging educational media contribute to this low participation. This study aimed to determine the effect of the web-based information system Posrembatam.com on adolescent participation in Adolescent Health Post activities. A quantitative approach using a one-group pretest–posttest design was employed. The sample consisted of 62 adolescents from SMPN 62 Batam who received an intervention involving access to the Posrembatam.com website. The website provides information on adolescent health, activity schedules, map-based locations of Adolescent Health Posts, and interactive features. Data were collected using online questionnaires and analysed using descriptive statistics and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The results showed that all respondents considered the information provided on the website easy to understand and useful. Following the intervention, participation in Adolescent Health Post activities increased, with 51.9% of respondents participating and 48.1% not participating. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test showed a statistically significant difference in participation frequency before and after the intervention (p = 0.000; p < 0.05). Therefore, Posrembatam.com may serve as an effective web-based information system to support and improve adolescent participation in Adolescent Health Post activities.

Abstract

Abstract

One factor that boosts the reputation of higher education institutions (HEIs) in gaining competitive advantage is the research productivity of their scholars, including at Diponegoro University (Undip). However, existing studies focus on metrics and their measurement but lack discussion of systems for leveraging these metrics to promote these scholars’ expertise. This study proposes a scholars’ expertise information system at Undip based on their publications and research track records to bridge information between the campus and outside parties, namely industry, government, and society. It provides expertise searching and browsing facilities in Dewey’s hierarchy of subjects and the institutional structure hierarchy. Scholar publications and research data are retrieved using the science and technology index application program interface (SINTA API). The collected data included lecturer profiles, study programs, SINTA subjects, articles, research, community service, intellectual property rights (IPR), and books. It has been fully deployed and adopted online, presenting the expertise of Undip scholars based on their publications and research records. The finding shows that all pages perform well, with an average GTmetrix B grade and a performance score of 91%, a structure score of 88%, and a 1.8s loading time. With all the functionalities and performances of the system, this study contributes to developing an information system model to promote the expertise of university scholars, primarily based on their publications and research.

Abstract

The establishment of the Merah Putih Village/Sub-District Cooperative aims to strengthen local economic development through improved governance and sustainable cooperative performance. This study examines the effects of the management information system and business assistant mentoring on cooperative performance, with cooperative governance as a mediating variable. A quantitative explanatory approach was employed using survey data collected from 150 cooperative administrators and members in North Sumatra Province. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that management information systems and business assistant mentoring have positive and significant effects on cooperative governance and cooperative performance. Business assistant mentoring demonstrates the strongest influence on cooperative governance, while cooperative governance significantly enhances cooperative performance and mediates the relationships between management information systems, business assistant mentoring, and performance. These findings indicate that digital systems and managerial mentoring generate greater organizational benefits when integrated with effective governance practices. This study contributes to the cooperative management literature by integrating digital transformation, managerial capacity development, and governance into a unified analytical framework. It provides practical recommendations for policymakers to strengthen cooperative sustainability through coordinated digitalization, continuous mentoring, and governance improvement.

Abstract

UD Niko is still using an outdated operating system which hampers daily operations and increases the error rate. This kind of system is not efficient, as it creates an opportunity for errors and makes it hard to follow the stock. The research problem focuses on the kind of information system to be designed for UD Niko and the features to incorporate, as well as how effective it would be. The study seeks to develop a web-based management information system that supports stock and account receivables management and invoice recording and integrates with Midtrans to facilitate digital payments. The way the system was built is called the waterfall model. The resulting system includes features such as internal stock management, supplier, sales and freelance roles, accounts receivable and payable modules, invoice history and reporting functions, while integrating digital payment via Midtrans. The system testing used the blackbox method and interviews with the owner and employees of UD Niko. The system adequately meets the company’s needs because it enables faster transactions, simplifies record keeping and efficiently manages inventory and reports. Overall, the system improves business management and operational efficiency at UD Niko.
