Abstract

Abstract

This conceptual and integrative review develops a framework for supply chain visibility and adaptive resilience in micro, small, and medium enterprises. It addresses the problem that MSMEs face disruption with thin inventories, concentrated suppliers, limited information, and little leverage, making early sensing and coordinated response strategically important. Drawing on the resource-based view, dynamic capabilities, organizational learning, absorptive capacity, social capital, and resilience, the paper explains how critical-flow mapping, information quality, collaborative sensing, contingency options, post-disruption learning can be organized as mutually reinforcing routines. The proposed pathway moves from problem diagnosis and capability mapping to bounded experimentation, evidence review, resource reconfiguration, and learning retention. No primary survey, interview, experimental, administrative, or statistical data are claimed. The framework links these mechanisms to faster response, continuity, lower dependency, recovery quality, adaptive supply networks and identifies managerial, institutional, and research implications suitable for resource-constrained enterprises.

Abstract

This conceptual and integrative review develops a framework for sustainability accounting capability in micro, small, and medium enterprises. It addresses the problem that many MSMEs face growing sustainability expectations but lack proportionate systems for translating environmental and social information into operational and financial decisions. Drawing on the resource-based view, dynamic capabilities, organizational learning, absorptive capacity, social capital, and resilience, the paper explains how materiality assessment, resource-use accounting, stakeholder dialogue, integrated decision routines, learning-oriented disclosure can be organized as mutually reinforcing routines. The proposed pathway moves from problem diagnosis and capability mapping to bounded experimentation, evidence review, resource reconfiguration, and learning retention. No primary survey, interview, experimental, administrative, or statistical data are claimed. The framework links these mechanisms to information relevance, cost awareness, stakeholder legitimacy, decision quality, long-term value creation and identifies managerial, institutional, and research implications suitable for resource-constrained enterprises.

Abstract

The global transition toward e-governance has transformed immigration administration by strengthening border security, improving service efficiency, and facilitating interagency coordination. Developed economies across Europe and Asia have implemented integrated Immigration Information Systems (IIS) that combine real-time data, biometrics, and interoperable digital frameworks to manage migration securely and accountably. Nevertheless, substantial disparities persist between developed and developing countries because of limited interoperability, insufficient capacity, institutional fragmentation, and data-security concerns. This study systematically reviews peer-reviewed literature published from 2015 to 2025 to examine how interoperability, accountability, and institutional coordination can be achieved through IIS. Guided by PRISMA principles, the review synthesizes evidence from empirical studies, policy frameworks, and international case studies, focusing on technological, semantic, and organizational interoperability. It also examines accountability mechanisms related to system security, transparency, data quality, regulatory compliance, and governance arrangements spanning agencies and national borders. The findings indicate that although the literature frequently prioritizes technological interoperability, semantic alignment and strong organizational interoperability are essential for effective and sustainable system integration. Their achievement depends on clear legal mandates, robust governance structures, and effective interagency collaboration. Integrated systems in the European Union, Estonia, and Singapore demonstrate the potential of IIS to accelerate processing, strengthen security, and improve policy coherence, whereas many developing countries remain constrained by institutional, human-capacity, and infrastructural limitations. The review proposes a unified framework integrating interoperability, accountability outcomes, and institutional coordination. By synthesizing a fragmented body of scholarship and identifying critical research gaps, it provides evidence-based guidance for policymakers and system architects developing secure, accountable, and interoperable immigration information systems.

Abstract

Background: The primary education of children under the age of three is provided by caregivers, and mothers are the principal caregivers within the family. The key to optimizing child development lies in enhancing mothers’ ability to provide developmental stimulation. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of health education based on IMB theory in improving mothers’ health behaviors related to speech development stimulation. Subjects and Method: The study employed a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design. The intervention group received health education in stages over four weeks, whereas the control group received health education through standard health services provided by health personnel. Each group comprised 30 mother–child dyads with children aged 2–3 years, selected according to the inclusion criteria. Data analysis compared pre- and post-intervention score differences using Wilcoxon test with Stata 13. Results: The pretest–posttest score comparisons in the intervention group showed statistically significant results and medium effect sizes for information (r= 0.32; p= 0.014), motivation (r= 0.35; p= 0.007), skills (r= 0.37; p= 0.005), and maternal behavior (r= 0.34; p= 0.008). In the control group, the mean differences in pretest-posttest scores for all variables were not statistically significant: information (r= 0.22; p= 0.083), motivation (r= 0.10; p= 0.465), skills (r=0.08; p= 0.564), and maternal behavior (r= 0.05; p= 0.706).  Conclusion: Structured and integrated interventions addressing informational, motivational, and behavioral skills components have been shown to be more effective in enhancing speech development stimulation in toddlers. Future research should emphasize the use of behavior-theory-based approaches in the development of early childhood health programs.

Abstract

The rapid growth of coffee shop businesses in Denpasar City requires business owners to manage their businesses effectively through the use of accounting information. However, this development has not been fully accompanied by the optimal utilization of accounting information by business owners in making business decisions. This study aims to examine the effect of owners’ perceptions and business owners’ accounting understanding on the use of accounting information in coffee shop businesses in Denpasar City. This study employed a quantitative approach using primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to 103 coffee shop owners in Denpasar City selected using a purposive sampling technique. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the assistance of the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The results indicate that owners’ perceptions and accounting understanding have a positive and significant effect on the use of accounting information in coffee shop businesses in Denpasar City. These findings demonstrate that owners’ positive perceptions of the importance of accounting information and a sound understanding of accounting can encourage business owners to utilize accounting information in business management and decision-making. Therefore, coffee shop owners in Denpasar City need to enhance their perceptions of the importance of accounting and their understanding of accounting processes so that accounting information can be optimally utilized to support business sustainability and development.
