Abstract

The competence of school principals is a key determinant of the quality of school management, yet performance appraisal data from several public junior secondary schools in Pandeglang Regency still shows unsatisfactory results. This study aims to examine the effect of management information systems and organizational support on principal competence, both directly and through transparency as a mediating variable. A quantitative explanatory survey design was applied to 144 civil servant teachers from 24 public junior secondary schools in Sub Region 6 of Pandeglang Regency, selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed with Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling. The results show that management information systems and organizational support have a positive and significant effect on both transparency and principal competence. Transparency also has a positive and significant effect on principal competence and acts as a partial mediator on both tested paths. The research model explains 71.4 percent of the variance in principal competence. These findings confirm that strengthening school leadership competence becomes more optimal when the use of information systems and institutional support is accompanied by an open and accountable school management culture.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and implement a desktop-based archival management information system for the PPD division of PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang (Pusri) in Lampung, addressing the company's ongoing issues with physical document deterioration, loss, and retrieval inefficiencies. Key findings demonstrate that transitioning from paper to electronic documents (e-documents) is a highly strategic preventive measure; it safeguards physical archives against threats such as decay, humidity, fire, and natural disasters, while simultaneously boosting operational efficiency through easy backup duplication. The implementation of a MySQL relational database effectively eliminates time-consuming manual searches; the structured database—utilizing indexes and metadata—enables data retrieval within seconds, thereby drastically increasing employee productivity. Furthermore, the inclusion of role-based access authentication proves effective in restricting access to sensitive documents, protecting internal data confidentiality against misuse and information leaks. Methodologically, the study employs the Structured Systems Analysis and Design (SSAD) approach, providing a structured framework for mapping business processes. Through the use of Context Diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams (DFD), Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERD), and program flowcharts, non-technical requirements were accurately translated into Java code, minimizing logic errors during software development. Consequently, the developed system successfully assists the company in digitally organizing documents, streamlining file retrieval, and significantly reducing the risk of physical archive loss or damage, resulting in a holistic, secure, and highly reliable archival management ecosystem

Abstract

Population administration services, such as the issuance of Family Cards (KK) and Resident Identity Cards (KTP), are vital elements of village-level governance. However, at the Banyuadem Village Office, the process for requesting introductory letters is still handled manually. Residents are required to visit the hamlet head's home in person to obtain the letter, bring the necessary documents to the village office, and write their application on a sheet of paper, which is then manually recorded by staff in a ledger. This procedure results in lengthy service times and disorganized document management. This research aims to develop a web-based information system for processing KK and KTP introductory letter requests to improve time efficiency for residents and facilitate data management for village staff. The system is designed using the PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) programming language and MySQL as the database server. The outcome of this research is a web-based platform that allows residents to submit applications without physically visiting the village office, while also enabling the village secretary to easily store data in the database and automatically generate monthly reports

Abstract

Financial administration services—specifically regarding the processing of invoices for raw oil palm fresh fruit bunches (FFB) purchased from third parties—constitute a vital element of palm oil industry operations. At PT HPI-Agro, the process of tracking invoices from external suppliers (such as cooperatives, CVs, and limited liability companies) is currently performed manually using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and conventional bookkeeping, lacking an integrated monitoring system. This situation leads to inefficient inter-departmental coordination, resulting in payment delays of 10 to 14 working days. This study aims to design a web-based invoice tracking information system to accelerate administrative workflows and provide real-time updates on payment status. The system was designed using the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology, with analysis conducted via Unified Modeling Language (UML) modeling and Logical Record Structure (LRS), utilizing MySQL as the database server. Functionality testing and satisfaction surveys indicate that the information system is highly viable for implementation, achieving a respondent acceptance rate of 96% or higher. Implementation of this system has successfully eliminated manual bureaucratic processes and enhanced transparency regarding invoice status at PT HPI-Agro.

Abstract

This study investigates the cognitive mechanisms underlying students' mathematical communication in solving story problems by integrating Adversity Quotient (AQ) and Information Processing Theory. Although mathematical communication has been widely recognized as a key component of mathematical proficiency, limited research has explained how students' resilience-related dispositions shape the cognitive processes through which mathematical ideas are understood, organized, and communicated. A qualitative case study was conducted with 32 eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Halmahera Barat, Indonesia. Data were collected through validated open-ended story-problem tasks, AQ classification, students' written work, and semi-structured interviews. The analysis combined descriptive categorization of mathematical communication with thematic analysis based on four cognitive processing stages: attention, perception, retrieval, and encoding. The findings show that students' mathematical communication was generally low, with 17 students in the very low category. Cross-case analysis revealed distinct patterns across AQ profiles. Climbers demonstrated relatively complete cognitive processing cycles and coherent mathematical explanations. Campers showed partial processing, especially in strategy formulation, retrieval accuracy, and justification. Quitters experienced breakdowns from the attention stage, resulting in fragmented or absent mathematical communication. This study proposes a conceptual model in which AQ functions as a resilience-related regulator of cognitive processing continuity, thereby shaping mathematical communication outcomes. The findings contribute to mathematics education by offering a process-based explanation of communication difficulties and by emphasizing the need for instruction that supports both cognitive processing and resilience in problem solving.
