Abstract

This research was conducted to investigate archives as information infrastructure in research. This term is used because archives are seen as the primary source for research. Thus, it is very fundamental and urgent for researchers regarding the data to be used and their accuracy is reliable. The research used a qualitative descriptive method in the frame of a constructivist approach in reading the phenomena of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Archives. Data collection was carried out using three main techniques, namely interview, observation, and documentation. The results of the study found three important issues related to the existence of archives as information infrastructure on research, i.e. archives as a means of historical preservation, primary document, and research development capital. As a curator of history, it seems that its function is very important in historical research because its birth was not intended to produce historical materials, but was born by itself following the interaction of the people. As a primary document, archives are important because they were born simultaneously with events, not from the stories of social actors. As for the framework of research development capital, archives are a source that has a high degree of accuracy, so that its function in research is very important to produce qualified research.

Abstract

The Presidential Regulation on e-Government in 2018 became the starting point for accelerating e-Government implementation in Indonesia. This moment prompted government agencies to compete in digitizing their organizations to apply the regulation. Digital information as the output of this massive digitalization will be abundant and must be managed properly which is certainly vulnerable to threats. Such threats can compromise the authenticity of records and make them untrustworthy. An adequate risk detection framework that fits the context of the digital environment is needed to minimize these incidents. This framework contains a records management perspective that has undergone a paradigmatic shift. This framework adopts the view that records management is an integral part of digital information management. The study used a qualitative method and found that from the perspective of records management, the risk detection framework in digital information management sheds light on aspects of context (external and internal), systems, and processes. However, its smooth implementation in the digital environment, especially in Indonesia, is determined by the extent to which paradigmatic reforms in records management have taken place.

The use of technology in the implementation of health services has succeeded in increasing the effectiveness and quality of providing health services to patients. Several mobile apps that have been available have the potential to improve services for people with depression. The purpose of this study was to determine the use of information technology in preventing depression in older adults. This study uses a simple literature study method based on a specific theme from several databases including the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), ProQuest, and SAGE between 2014 and 2020. 27 journal articles that met the inclusion criteria passed the screening process using the PRISMA diagram. Research showed positive results in the use of technology for depressive conditions experienced by older adults. The importance of developing health applications in order to keep up with the conditions needs to be the attention of health workers. Easy, inexpensive, and attractive health applications can increase public curiosity and participation in the health sector.
