Abstract

The need of information is a basic need that is required to understand every moment in life. This is in accordance to the definition of information as an urge to overcome uncertainties or problems and to find solution and improvement. The need of information, be it a psychological, affective, or cognitive need, led someone to undertake an act of information seeking, known as information seeking behavior. The development of information seeking behavior nowadays expands into interdisciplinary study. One of them is using cultural dimension to have a better sight on the research. This paper discusses the information seeking behavior of the santri of the Madrasah Aliyah (Upper Secondary School students) Pondok Pesantren Jakarta, using the information seeking behavior Big Six Skill model from Eisenberg- Berkowitz, and two of Hofstede national cultural dimensions; Indonesian score of Power Distance and Individualism. This research will explore the uniqueness of Pondok Pesantren as one of typical Indonesian educational institution in coloring their students’ information seeking behavior.

Abstract

Only 18% of MSMEs in Indonesia implement good supply chain management. This is reflected in issues such as difficulty obtaining affordable, high-quality and timely raw materials. This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the influence of trust and information quality on the performance of supply chain management by sharing information as a mediating variable. The amount of data used was 127 and processed using SmartPLS 4 software. The results of this study show that the trust and quality of information affect the performance of supply chain management. In addiction, information sharing is able to mediate the influence of trust and information quality on supply chain management performance. The mediation test that occured in this study was partial mediation. Problems such as shortages of raw materials, high cost of raw materials and delays in the delivery of raw materials can be overcome by building strong trust with business partners, improving the quality of information received and encouraging avtive and open information sharing practices. Consistently and sustainably it will create a more responsive, effective and efficient supply chain.

Abstract

The advent of the Industrial Revolution 5.0 and the vision of Society 5.0 have precipitated transformative shifts not only within industrial sectors but also across the landscape of online journalism, particularly in Indonesia. This article critically examines the manifestations of information disruption in this context. Through an in-depth analysis of recent scholarly publications from reputable journals, national policy documents, and international reports, this study identifies five interrelated themes: (1) the pervasive influence of technologies such as artificial intelligence and automation, (2) the growing digital divide, (3) the impact of platform power and the attention economy, (4) the transformation of professional norms and journalist identities, and (5) emerging ethical dilemmas associated with technological adoption. Findings reveal that the ongoing disruption is multifaceted. While technology enables unprecedented efficiency and innovation, Indonesia's unique challenges—including infrastructural inequalities, concentrated media ownership, and uneven digital literacy—exacerbate fragmentation within the information ecosystem. Consequently, the realization of a human-centered Society 5.0 in journalism faces significant obstacles. The article concludes by proposing policy recommendations focused on infrastructure development, AI governance, and capacity building, alongside suggesting avenues for future research.

Abstract

The development of information technology in the digital era has revolutionized the way organizations manage data and information. Management Information Systems (MIS) are a strategic solution for improving the efficiency, accuracy, and security of information management through the integration of modern technologies such as cloud computing, big data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT). This study uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method on six selected articles to identify the benefits, challenges, and strategies for implementing MIS. The study results show that a well-managed MIS can provide real-time, relevant, and error-free information, thus supporting strategic decision-making. Key obstacles include the digital divide, cybersecurity issues, low digital literacy, and infrastructure limitations. This study recommends a sustainable strategy that includes improving digital literacy, technological updates, data protection policies, and human resource training. With proper management, MIS has the potential to create an adaptive, secure, and highly competitive digital ecosystem.

Abstract

This study aims to systematically review the relationship between accounting information and price informativeness in the capital market. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach to 39 scientific articles for the period 2015–2025, this study identifies how accounting information affects the mechanism of stock price formation and market efficiency. The results of the study show that accounting information has significant value relevance in explaining stock price variations. Profit and cash flow serve as signals of economic performance, while book value and reporting quality reinforce investor confidence in a company's fundamental value. In addition, the high level of disclosure has been shown to reduce information asymmetry and increase market transparency. However, the strength of these relationships is influenced by institutional contexts such as regulation, investor protection, and governance effectiveness. The findings also confirm that digital reporting innovations through XBRL, big data analytics, and machine learning accelerate the transmission of accounting information and strengthen pricing efficiency. Overall, this study confirms that accounting information is not just a historical reporting tool, but a strategic infrastructure in shaping the efficiency and credibility of the modern capital market.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to empirically examine the influence of Accounting Information Systems (AIS) on Financial Report Accuracy, Information Presentation Speed, and Tax Compliance among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Sumbawa Regency. Design/Methodology/Approach: The research employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory design to explain the causal relationships between variables. The sample consists of 310 MSME actors in Sumbawa Regency selected using proportional stratified random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Findings: The results show that Accounting Information Systems have a positive and significant effect on Financial Report Accuracy, Information Presentation Speed, and Tax Compliance. Collectively, the research model demonstrates moderate to strong predictive power. Research Implications: To improve the quality of financial reporting and fundamentally address tax compliance issues, interventions should focus on facilitating and accelerating the adoption of AIS. Investments in training, mentoring, and providing access to affordable AIS are essential strategies for building a strong foundation of financial governance, which in turn will enhance sustainable compliance and optimize the potential of regional tax revenues.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how the Comsoft Aeronautical Data Access System (CADAS) is used in the NOTAM workflow at Palembang Aeronautical Information Service and how operators behave when the system is not stable. This research was conducted with a qualitative case study approach, which combined interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis to capture daily operational practices and problems that occurred in real conditions. The results of this study indicated that CADAS is still the main system for NOTAM drafting, verification, and transmission. However, its performance is often disturbed by irregular system errors such as sudden shutdowns, delays in data processing, and intermittent failures to send or receive raw NOTAM information. These disturbances create obstacles in fulfilling time-sensitive procedural requirements especially the ten-minute verification standard as stated in SOP.012. In case of system unresponsiveness, operators switch to alternative procedures through email distribution, Web Flight Plan submission, and manual logbook documentation so as not to cause delays; however, these manual steps require continuous follow-up to avoid gaps in recording. In general, this study underlines the importance of increasing CADAS reliability and ensuring that backup procedures are consistently applied so that continuity can be maintained even if there is an interruption in the system.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance the performance of the Naïve Bayes algorithm in breast cancer diagnosis classification by integrating the Information Gain feature selection method. The dataset used is the Wisconsin Breast Cancer (Diagnostic) dataset, consisting of 569 samples. This study evaluates the effectiveness of feature selection in improving the accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity of the classification model. The implementation of the Information Gain feature selection method successfully increased the Naïve Bayes model's accuracy from 94.15% to 96.49%, a 2.34% improvement. The addition of feature selection significantly enhanced the predictive capability of the model. The findings of this study can support more accurate medical decision-making, potentially influencing treatment decisions and patient outcomes in clinical practice. This research provides new insights into the application of machine learning in medical diagnostics and suggests directions for future research.
