Abstract

In this study, a systematic literature review that focuses on the application of the UML method in designing a New Student Admission Information System. Where in this study raised problems experienced by several schools that still use the old system (manual) in operating activities in schools, one of which is the flow of new student admissions. So that it produces performance that is not effective and efficient and has an unfavourable impact on the school. Therefore, the need for tools in modelling in designing academic processes in schools, namely by using UML (Unified Modeling Language). UML is a standard language used to model, design, and document software systems. The types of diagrams used in UML are Use Case Diagrams, Class Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, and Sequence Diagrams which can help in modeling the flow of new student admissions. The results of the literature review that has been carried out, it can be concluded that using UML in modeling in designing academic processes in schools has a positive impact and makes it easier to present better and more up-to-date information.

Abstract

The Academic Information System at Sebelas April University housed various essential data, including student information, faculty information, and academic records. These data were susceptible to cybersecurity threats, data breaches, and unauthorized access, potentially disrupting academic processes and tarnishing the university's reputation. This study aimed to enhance the security of UNSAP's Academic Information System by optimizing the Standard Operating Procedures for information security. A descriptive qualitative research method was employed to analyze the current information security conditions and formulate recommendations for improving the Standard Operating Procedures. The Octave Allegro approach and the ISO 27001:2022 standard served as frameworks in this study. The analysis revealed that the existing Standard Operating Procedures for information security were inadequate. Consequently, new, more comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures were developed, encompassing access control, data management, incident handling, and data backup. These new Standard Operating Procedures were expected to bolster the security of UNSAP's Academic Information System and assist UNSAP in complying with applicable information security standards.

Abstract

In today's digital era, information quality in information systems is essential for organizational effectiveness and decision-making. This systematic literature review aims to assess and synthesize factors influencing information quality across various systems, focusing on key dimensions such as reliability, accessibility, usability, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. The existing literature is fragmented, lacking an integrated theory that comprehensively addresses the significance of information quality. Thus, a systematic review was conducted following the PRISMA framework to address this gap and provide evidence-based recommendations for research and practice. Studies were identified, screened, and selected from Scopus and Web of Science. After an initial search using specific keywords, a total of 1,548 articles were found that contained specified terms or strings in various combinations. Of these, 31 studies were chosen for full review based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The analysis was organized into three primary themes: i) Core Information Quality Factors, ii) Synergizing Information Quality with System and Service Quality, and iii) Impact of Information Quality on User Satisfaction and Organizational Outcomes. The results emphasize the significant role of high information quality in enhancing user satisfaction and operational efficiency. Different industries prioritize various quality dimensions according to their specific needs. Therefore, this review elucidates the imperative function of good quality information in reinforcing information systems' proper functioning, calling for empirical studies to develop holistic frameworks that incorporate multiple dimensions and impact analysis across different domains.

Abstract

This thesis aims to provide an understanding of how the Regulation of the Information Commission (PerKI) Number 1 of 2018 concerning the Standards of Public Information Services (SLIP) for villages is implemented in self-reliant villages in Sungai Raya District, Kubu Raya Regency, as an elaboration of Law Number 14 of 2018 on Public Information Disclosure (KIP). The main problem identified is that the implementation of PerKI Number 1 of 2018 regarding Village SLIP has not been optimal. Public information services managed by the Village Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) have not fully complied with the established Village SLIP, and no derivative regulation at the regency level provides technical support to strengthen village PPID management. This study seeks to understand the situation and analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting the institutional condition of Village PPID in self-reliant villages in Sungai Raya District, Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan Province, in implementing PerKI Number 1 of 2018. The findings show that the implementation has not run effectively. Organizationally, Village PPID as the implementer has not performed its role as expected due to limited apparatus resources overlapping with public service duties. Stakeholders’ interpretation of policy objectives has not been fully conveyed, and practical implementation has not consistently followed PerKI Number 1 of 2018. This study recommends optimizing the role of Village PPID through regional agencies responsible for public information disclosure, improving the capacity of village apparatus through socialization, training, or technical guidance, and issuing derivative regulations as operational guidelines for translating PerKI Number 1 of 2018 concerning Village SLIP.

Abstract

In the midst of a disaster such as an earthquake, one of the most important things is the dissemination of the right information. Searching for the right information can affect the safety of one's life. Therefore, studies related to information seeking behavior during disasters can illustrate how a person searches for information in response to circumstances during a disaster. This study aims to determine how much the level of conformity of information seeking behavior carried out by victims of the Cianjur earthquake disaster with the disaster information seeking behavior model. This research uses quantitative methods with a case study approach in the Cianjur area. The population in this study were earthquake victims in Cianjur with productive age (15-57 years). The sample used was 100 respondents using accidental sampling technique. The hypothesis in this study is the level of information seeking behavior of earthquake victims in Cianjur in accordance with the disaster information seeking behavior model. The results of the study obtained a score on the first warning dimension of 2.39. The dimension of recipient characteristics amounted to 2.83 and message characteristics amounted to 3.59. The information source horizon dimension was 3.03 and the feedback dimension was 3.36. Based on these results, an average score of 3.04 was obtained. The score is in the interval 2.51 - 3.25, which indicates that the information seeking behavior of earthquake victims in Cianjur is at the "appropriate" level with the disaster information seeking behavior model.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe program to reduce the development of dental caries in elementary school children has not been optimal. So far, the reporting mechanism of the inspection results is still manual so that the resulting data is inaccurate and incomplete. The dental caries management geographic information system (SIG-MKG) provides dental caries distribution data in support of effective and targeted handling. The purpose of this research is to produce a decent SIG-MKG and its application effectively improve the behavior of dental and oral therapists and the quality of data and information. The methods used are Research and Development and pre-experimental design method. Respondents numbered 30 to assess the behavior (knowledge, attitude, and action) of Dental and Oral Therapists in the application of SIG-MKG and the quality of data and information. Expert validation test on SIG-MKG obtained an average feasibility of 97.23%. Assessment of knowledge, attitudes, and actions after treatment increased significantly compared to before (p=<0.001, p=0.032, and p=<0.001, respectively). Quality of data and information improved significantly after treatment (p=<0.001). Behavior affects Dental Caries Management Quality and Quality of data and information (p=<0.001).It can be concluded that SIG-MKG provides a significant improvement in the behavior of Dental and Oral Therapists in the application of SIG-MKG and the quality of data and information compared to before. Keywords: Dental Caries Management; Geographic Information Systems.
