Abstract

ABSTRACT Research objectives: (1) The role of parents to foster children's learning interest in online social studies learning during the covid-19 pandemic, (2) Supporting factors for parents to foster children's interest in learning online during the Covid-19 pandemic, (3 ) Factors inhibiting parents from growing children's learning interest in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, (4) Solutions to overcome parental barriers to foster children's interest in learning in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of qualitative descriptive research. The research subjects were: parents and students of class VIII SMP N 2 Paliyan. The research was conducted at SMP N 2 Paliyan on May 15 to July 30, 2022. Data collection techniques: observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques: data reduction, data exposure, and verification. Test the validity of the data in this study using a credibility test by increasing persistence and triangulation: sources, techniques and time. The results of the study: (1) The role of parents to foster children's interest in learning by providing enthusiasm, motivation, encouragement, supervising, and accompanying children during learning. (2) The factors that support parents in growing children's interest in learning are that children can follow, understand, do not fall behind in lessons, get good grades, and become smart children. (3) The inhibiting factor for parents is that not all parents master cell phones and lack understanding of learning materials. (4) The solution to overcome obstacles is that parents invite their children to read books, search for materials through the internet, ask for help from the community, and ask the teacher.Keywords: Role of Parents, Interest in Social Studies Learning, Online Learning, Covid-

Abstract

Pendahuluan : Pembelajaran adalah suatu upaya yang dilakukan oleh seseorang guru atau pendidik untuk membelajarkan siswa yang belajar. Pembelajaran daring merupakan pembelajaran yang berlangsung di dalam jaringan dimana pengajar dan yang diajar tidak bertatap muka secara langsung. Tujuan: untuk mengetahui dampak pembelajaran daring terhadap perkembangan anak usia prasekolah berdasarkan penelitian - penelitian yang sudah dilakukan sebelumnnya. Metode: Penelitian yang di gunakan yaitu literature review menggunakan tiga data base yaitu menggunakan Pubmed, Cochrane, dan Scholar untuk menemukan artikel sesuai kriteria inklusi dan ekslusi kemudian dilakukan review. Desain penelitian yaitu cross sectional, dengan tahun pencarian 2018-2022. Hasil: adanya dampak  yang signifikan  dari hasil pembelajaran daring terhadap perkembangan anak usia prasekolah, diantaranya yaitu adanya penurunan terhadap perkembangan psikososial, kognitif dan kecerdasan emosional anak usia prasekolah. Abstract

COVID-19 pandemic around the world in 2020–2022 shifted physical learning into distance learning. In Indonesia, particularly since COVID-19 had been announced to disappear, the learning process in several schools still adopts online learning. However, online learning led to certain challenges, one of which relates to the practical method of lecturing to teach children's literature for undergraduate students in universities. This study aims at exploring Creanova Webbing as an alternative method for teaching children’s literature as well as examining the level of respondents' satisfaction with the method. Thus, this research employs qualitative and quantitative methods by describing the implementation of Creanova Webbing, using a questionnaire, and applying the Likert Scale. The findings reveal that the stages of applying Creanova Webbing in the online classroom were the preparation/creation of a website consisting of particular learning material from children’s literature, teaching using the website, and withdrawing feedback from students. In addition, the content of children’s literature on the website is about the relation between Javanese children’s songs and nursery rhymes. Furthermore, the Creanova Webbing belongs to “good” category based scored 68.6% of Likert scale. Further studies are expected to focus on validating and developing the learning materials contained on the website.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of an online learning process in early childhood so that it impacts on children's learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of online learning on early childhood learning outcomes at Raudhatul Athfal Islam Bakti 99 Nairatul Jannah Padang. This study uses quantitative and qualitative research techniques, namely the mixed method. The subjects in this study amounted to five people. Data collection techniques are in the form of interviews and questionnaires. This study uses quantitative data analysis techniques using level categorization, while qualitative data analysis uses coding approaches. And the outcomes of this study meant that there is an effect of online learning on early childhood learning outcomes. Quantitative and qualitative data supports these results. Quantitative data shows the impact of online education on learning outcomes in the moderate category. In contrast, while the results from qualitative data show that online learning partially affects children's learning outcomes so that learning outcomes tend to be less stable.

Abstract

Background: The sudden shift to online learning due to the Covid-19 pandemic significantly impacted the educational landscape, especially for elementary school children. This study focused on understanding how this transition influenced the stress levels experienced by students at SDN 78 Kendari.Purpose: to investigate the correlation between online learning and the stress levels experienced by elementary school children amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, specifically at SDN 78 Kendari. Methods: A correlation research design was employed, targeting students in grades 4-6, totaling a population of 204 individuals at SDN 78 Kendari. The study utilized a purposive sampling technique to select a sample size of 67 participants. Statistical analysis was carried out using the Spearman's rho test to establish the relationship between online learning and stress levels.Results: The findings revealed a significant relationship between online learning and stress levels at SDN 78 Kendari, denoted by a P-Value of 0.048. The statistical analysis demonstrated a negative coefficient number of -0.242. This negative correlation implies that increased engagement in online learning is associated with higher levels of stress among the students.Conclusion: The outcomes of this study indicate a noteworthy association between the frequency of online learning and elevated stress levels among elementary school children at SDN 78 Kendari. These findings emphasize the importance of considering the psychological impact of online education on young learners, urging the implementation of supportive measures to mitigate stress during remote learning situations.

Abstract

Introduction: The purpose of this study is to determine “The Relationship between Online Learning and The Incidence of Refractive Errors in School Children at the Eye Polyclinic in Prikasih Hospital. The type of research is quantitative. The population of this research is children who study using learning online methods. The sampling was selected using purposive a sampling technique and the total sample of this study was 43. Methods: The primary data collection method used were a questionnaire method and Snellen charts to measure visual acuity. The univariate analysis aims to describe the characteristics of each variable and the bivariate analysis is carried out with the chi-square test aims to determine whether or not there is a relationship between variables. Results: The results showed that from 22 respondents (51,1%) whose intense study used an online learning method, 1 respondent (4,5%) did not have refractive errors and 21 respondents (95,5%) had refractive errors. The result of the chi-square test is that the value of p = 0,00 means p-value (0,05). Discussion: This study concludes that there is a relationship between online learning and the incidence of refractive errors in children’s schools at the Eye Polyclinic in Prikasih Hospital.

Abstract

ABSTRACTParents' verbal abuse on their children often happens consciously or unconsciously. This occursbecause the impact of verbal abuse is not as direct as physical violence. Children are like plainwhite canvases that are ready to be swept with various colors because children cannot or do nothave sufficient knowledge to distinguish certain things, especially in the things they receivefrom their families such as verbal abuse and also children will easily absorb what he heardwithout having to think about it first. The impact of verbal abuse can cause hurt feelings thatcause children to think as they often say to their parents. This study aims at identifying andclassifying the types of verbal abuse by parents when assisting children in online learning athome in Kerobokan Village, Kuta Utara, Badung, Bali. The method used in this research wasthe qualitative method, the phenomenological approach was chosen because it describes themeaning of the subject's experience of the phenomenon being studied. There are several stepstaken in carrying out the research by searching for data, managing data, and presenting existingdata. In the process of searching for data, researchers used the method of recording, writing,and observing. The study found that the classification of verbal violence that is spoken byparents to children during online learning is a curse, intimidation, words that belittle orembarrassing and criticizing, and the psychological impact on the child. From the results of thisresearch, it can be concluded that verbal violence harms children, parents are more patient inaccompanying their children, are more able to select and sort words and sentences that can buildchildren's self-confidence.Keywords: children, abuse, verbal, violenceABSTRAKPelecehan verbal orang tua kepada anaknya sangat sering terjadi secara sadar atau tidaksadar. Ini terjadi karena dampak pelecehan verbal tidak langsung seperti kekerasan fisik. Anakibarat kanvas putih polos yang siap disapu dengan berbagai warna karena anak tidak dapatatau tidak memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup untuk membedakan hal-hal tertentu, terutamadalam hal-hal yang mereka terima dari keluarganya seperti caci maki dan juga anak akandengan mudah menyerap apa yang ia terima. mendengar tanpa harus memikirkannya terlebihdahulu. Dampak pelecehan verbal dapat menimbulkan rasa sakit hati yang menyebabkan anakberpikir seperti yang sering mereka ucapkan kepada orang tuanya. Penelitian ini bertujuanuntuk mengidentifikasi dan mengelompokkan jenis-jenis kekerasan verbal yang dilakukanorang tua saat mendampingi anak dalam pembelajaran online di rumah di Desa Kerobokan,Kuta Utara Badung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif,pendekatan fenomenologi dipilih karena menggambarkan makna pengalaman subjek terhadapfenomena yang diteliti. Ada beberapa tahapan yang dilakukan dalam melakukan penelitian yaitu dengan mencari data, mengelola data, dan menyajikan data yang ada. Dalam prosespencarian data, peneliti menggunakan metode pencatatan, penulisan, dan observasi.Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan ditemukan bahwa klasifikasi kekerasan verbalyang diucapkan oleh orang tua kepada anak selama pembelajaran online adalah makian,intimidasi, perkataan yang meremehkan atau memalukan dan mengkritik, serta berdampakpsikologis pada anak. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kekerasan verbalmerugikan anak, orang tua lebih sabar dalam mendampingi anaknya, lebih mampu memilihdan mengurutkan kata dan kalimat yang dapat membangun rasa percaya diri anak.Kata kunci: anak, pelcehan, verbal, kekerasan

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of stress faced by parents in the online learning process during the new normal era. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, with a case study approach. The research subjects were parents who have early childhood and elementary school, with a total of 10 mothers. The data collection techniques used were observation and interview data analysis, reduction strategies, data display, data interpretation, and data verification. The study findings indicate that parents face various challenges when it comes to online learning at home during the current era of the new normal. These challenges contribute to heightened levels of stress in relation to their children's education. One such challenge is the lack of comprehension among parents regarding the lessons and learning materials provided by the school. Parents often exhibit impatience when assisting their children, and time constraints further exacerbate the situation. Furthermore, parents struggle to motivate their children to engage enthusiastically in learning. Lastly, parents also lack proficiency in utilising electronic devices such as cell phones and laptops.

Abstract

Learning science is often considered difficult by students because the way of teaching it tends to be rote, not discovery. Especially in a pandemic situation like this that demands independent learning due to social restrictions. For this reason, educators need to have the ability to understand students' learning experiences and reflect on them as an effort to diagnose learning difficulties or obstacles. Related to that, this research applies narrative inquiry (narrative research). In narrative research, the researcher attempts to describe the life situations of several individual students and reflect on these experiences as diagnostic of their learning difficulties. Researchers made observations, made field notes and conducted interviews. The collected data is then analyzed and presented in a narrative manner by taking into account the situational interactions that are revealed in it. Based on the data analysis, the researcher found several things that influenced the students' learning difficulties. In general, there are several diagnostic causative factors that come from within students, including: 1) emotional mental condition; 2) reactive way of thinking; 3) lack of awareness; and 4) low interest in learning. Meanwhile, several factors from outside the students include: 1) lack of parental attention; 2) inconducive home atmosphere; 3) unsupportive environmental conditions; 4) social media influence; 5) unattractive and monotonous teaching methods; as well as 6) incomplete learning facilities. Efforts to overcome learning difficulties need to pay attention to these two aspects. Educators need to have the ability to understand students' learning experiences and design learning strategies that suit their characteristics. Apart from that, the role of parents and environmental conditions must also be considered in order to create conducive learning conditions.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Pandemi Covid-19 memberikan dampak yang besar pada semua aspek termasuk yaitu fisik, psikologis, begitu juga dengan sistema metode pembelajaran di Indonesia. Pemerintah Indonesia mulai menerapkan sistem Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar (PSBB), setiap orang diharapkan mengurangi aktivitas di luar rumah, segala pekerjaan dilakukan dari rumah ini juga yang diberlakukan pada sistem pembelajaran di Indonesia sampai pemberlakuan pembelajaran jarak jauh. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui hubungan peran orang tua terhadap kemandirian anak usia sekolah pada pembelajaran daring masa pandemi Covid-19 SD  Muhammadiyah 2 Depok Sukmajaya. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu dengan teknik total sampling dimana populasi dan sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 40 responden. Uji analisis data menggunakan analisis univariat dan analisis bivariat dengan uji chi-square. Hasil: Berdasarkan uji statistik yaitu hasil data frekuensi distribusi peran orang tua anak SD Muhammadiyah 2 Depok mayoritas makimal 25 responden (62,5%) dan kemandirian anak SD Muhammadiyah 2 Depok mayoritas tinggi 22 responden (55,0%). Hasil uji statistik chi-square menunjukan bahwa hubungan peran orang tua dengan kemandirian anak usia sekolah pada pembelajaran daring masa pandemi Covid-19 SD Muhammadiyah 2 Depok tahun 2021 dengan nilai p-value = 0.005 < 0,05. Kesimpulan: Ada hubungan peran orang tua terhadap kemandirian anak usia sekolah pada pembelajaran daring  masa pandemi Covid-19 SD Muhammadiyah 2 Depok Sukmajaya.
