Abstract

Keywords: gender, indirectness, speech acts, talk shows Language is communication tool for the daily life. By means of language, people can convey messages and their intentions directly or indirectly. When we speak indirectly, we mean what we say but also mean something else, this is what we called as indirectness in speech acts. This study intends to know whether different gender influences the way in asking for information which is one of the speech acts principal employed by speaker especially interviewer in talk show to get information. There are two problems to be solved, they are: (1) How is the act of indirect asking for information shown by man and woman interviewers? and (2) What is the intended meaning of different indirect questions of man andwoman interviewers?This study was descriptive qualitative by using language application in talk shows namely Sarah Sechan and Hitam Putih, and the data were derived from the  transcript containing indirectness between the presenters and the guests. The selected topic was Lebaran edition with the average duration of 30 minutes.From the results of this study, there were some different usages of indirectness applied by male and female hosts. It showed that the female host in this study employed more indirect requests for information than the male interviewer did. These were not only influenced by sex, but also another context, such as the background knowledge of topic in conversation.The writer hopes the next researchers analyze indirect asking for information based on gender with different ages and status by using other theories and find the motives of indirectness so that the result can be more detailed and complete.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui adakah pengaruh dari information sharing dan knowledge sharing terhadap relationship, dan pengaruh information sharing, knowledge sharing dan relationship terhadap performance di hotel X. Komunikasi berperan penting dalam suatu perusahaan, untuk membangun hubungan antar karyawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisa data partial least square. Proses pengujian hipotesis melalui berbagai kriteria goodness-of-fit model. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa information sharing dan knowledge sharing berpengaruh positif terhadap relationship. Knowledge sharing dan relationship berpengaruh positif terhadap performance di hotel X. Information sharing tidak berpengaruh terhadap performance di hotel X.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis pengaruh system quality, information quality, dan service quality terhadap user satisfaction website Lion Airlines dan Sriwijaya Airlines baik secara bersama-sama maupun secara sendiri-sendiri. Serta, untuk menganalisis variabel yang dominan terhadap user satisfaction website Lion Airlines dan Sriwijaya Airlines di antara system quality, information quality, dan service quality.Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitaif dan teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah system quality, information quality, dan service quality berpengaruh terhadap user satisfaction website Lion Airlines dan Sriwijaya Airlines secara bersama-sama dan secara sendiri-sendiri serta diketahui bahwa Di antara system quality, information quality, dan service quality maka variabel information quality berpengaruh paling dominan terhadap user satisfaction website Lion Airlines dan Sriwijaya Airlines.

Abstract

Perpustakaan Universitas Kristen Petra yang berperan sebagai pusat layanan informasi bagi sivitas akademika tidak dapat lepas dari pengaruh teknologi informasi (TI). Untuk memastikan kelangsungan pelayanan informasi maka dibutuhkan sistem keamanan, pengelolaan data, pengelolaan masalah, dan pengelolaan lingkungan fisik yang memadai baik dari segi hardware maupun software. Ketergantungan ini mengakibatkan TI menjadi titik yang paling rawan dalam memastikan kelangsungan pelayanan informasi di perpustakaan. Dalam memastikan sejauh mana dukungan TI terhadap proses bisnis perpustakaan maka perlu diketahui seberapa baikkah kualitas layanan TI. Untuk mengukur kualitas layanan TI di perpustakaan dibutuhkan suatu proses audit.Pada penelitian ini, dilakukan proses audit operasional untuk mengumpulkan data guna menunjang penilaian audit. Pedoman yang digunakan dalam mengukur aspek – aspek tingkat kedewasaan TI ialah COBIT 4.0 pada bagian delivery and support 4, 5, 10, 11, dan 12 yang terdiri dari pemastian kelangsungan layanan TI, pengelolaan sistem keamanan, pengelolaan masalah, pengelolaan data, dan pengelolaan lingkungan fisik di perpustakaan.Penelitian ini menghasilkan temuan dan nilai tingkat kematangan TI di perpustakaan. Proses audit membantu perpustakaan dalam mengevaluasi kinerja layanan TI dan memberi masukan untuk perbaikan.

Abstract

Universitas X telah melakukan investasi sistem informasi yang dikenal dengan Sistem Informasi Akademik untuk menunjang kegiatan proses bisnis universitas X. Setelah melakukan investasi diharapkan ada pengembalian atas investasi yang dilakukan. Perhitungan besarnya pengembalian menggunakan metode Information Economics. Karena metode ini tidak hanya menghitung pengembalian yang terhitung tetapi juga menghitung pengembalian yang tak terhitung.Berdasarkan latar belakang permasalahan tersebut, maka diadakan analisa dan perhitungan untuk mendapatkan hasil ROI dan IE Score. Untuk mendapatkan informasi yang dibutuhkan harus melalui beberapa tahap, dimulai dengan melakukan survey biaya investasi, servey biaya berjalan, value linking, value acceleration, value restructuring, domain bisnis, dan domain teknologi. Serta merancang alat guna mempermudah proses perhitungannya. Proses perancangan alat untuk menghitung melalui beberapa tahap, pembuatan Entity Relationship Diagram dari aplikasi yang akan dibuat. Proses pembuatannya menggunakan Microsoft Visual Studio .Net 2010 sebagai bahasa pemrogramannya dan Microsoft SQL Server 2005 sebagai database.Hasil yang diperoleh dari analisa yang dilakukan adalah perhitungan ROI dan IE Score. Dan alat hitung yang dihasilkan dapat menyimpan data project serta hasil perhitungan ROI dan IE Score.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate whether budgetary participation, information asymmetry, budget emphasis, and self esteem affect budgetary slack. The validity and reliability test show that the questionarre is valid and reliable for the hypotheses test. Hypotheses are tested using linier regression and multiple regression. With the 95% level of significance, the result shows that budgetary participation, budget emphasis, and self esteem have the significant effect to budgetary slack, and have positive relationship. Information asymmetry doesn’t have significant effect to budgetary slack. The multiple regression test shows that budgetary participation, information asymmetry, budget emphasis, and self esteem simultaneously have significant effect to budetary slack, and show the positive relationship. The next research is recommended to restrict the sample in certain industry, and adopt the other variable, like organization culture, ethic and reputation consideration, competition in company, social pressure, and risk aversion which can affect budgetary slack. Keywords: Budgetary Slack, Budgetary Participation, Information Asymmetry, Budget Emphasis, Self Esteem.

Abstract

Implementation of routing protocol in a network enable router to dynamically exchange information about network condition. The goal of this research is to analyze and compare performance between RIP (Routing Information Protocol) as a distance vector routing protocol and OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) as a link state routing protocol. This research use topology with six router and four parameter of QoS (Quality of Service), that is delay, jitter, packet loss, and throughput, to performance assessment. Network simulator software and AWK used to get the value of the QoS’s parameter and to verify the result of the implementation. The result of the research show that for overall, OSPF give better performance than RIP although OSPF seem to need longer time and bigger throughput for the initialization process. The kind of fit routing protocol use in a network is depend on number and spesification of the router and topology used. At the end, can be conclude that its better to doing the simulation before the implementation process. From the simulation we can know about the performance of routing protocol used. Keywords: RIP, OSPF, simulator, performance, QoS.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze about behavior banking employees in using information techonology in Semarang. The behavioral used in this study concerns on computer self efficacy, computer anxiety and attitudes toward computers . This study evaluate to relationship between computer self efficacy with attitudes toward computers and the relationship between computer anxiety  with attitudes toward computers. This study’s goal is to know the effect of computer self efficacy with attitudes toward computers and the effect of computer anxiety with  attitudes toward computer. This study uses survey method, that is by using questionnaires amounting 104 to be sample. Statistic tool used is reliability and validity test to examine whether the questionnaires used are valid and realiable. Pearson correlation is used to examine the relationship between variables and simple regression to examine the effect among variables. To help its statistic and the analysis, the current study uses MS Excel and SPSS version 10 program. Based on data analysis, it is concluded that there is relationship between computer self efficacy and attitudes toward computers banking employees in using information technology in Semarang, there is indicate with r pearson correlation 0.918 and significany value less then 0.05. It is concluded that there is relationship between computer anxiety and attitudes toward computers banking employees in using information technology in Semarang, there is indicate with r pearson correlation -0.962 and significany value less then 0.05. It is concluded that there is effect between computer self efficacy on to attitudes toward computers banking employees in using information technology in Semarang, there is indicate with r determination R Square 84.3% (0.843) and significany value less then 0.05. It is concluded that there is effect between computer anxiety on to attitudes toward computers banking employees in using information technology in Semarang, there is indicate with r determination R Square 92.5% (0.925) and significany value less then 0.05. trade business on Sarua Subur is a distributor of bottled  drinking  water  (AMDK), Or drink packaging in Madura. trade business on Sarua Subur has three branches, among other branches bangkalan, sumenep, Pamekkasan. trade business branch bangkalan will distribute to every store in accordance with the request of the store.During this trade business Sarua Subur branch Bangkalan Could not meet the demand a shop as much as 106(one hundred and six) The incident delay the fulfillment of customer orders every year. hence business trade Sarua Subur branch Bangkalan Need an inventory of goods which is sufficient to meet the needs of the customers In order to estimate how the number of supplies for the future trade at a venture Sarua Subur branch bangkalan It takes a system of merchandise, inventory information by applying a engineering build the system inventory information merchandise by using the method Triple eksponensial Smoothig (winters).The lateness of the problem and the fulfillment of the needs of merchandise can be taken in conclusion, that a system can be predicted an inventory of goods merchandise to UD Sarua Subur Because the system could predict supplies in the future, and also be used to memeperkirakan how the number of supplies for the moment to supply of goods in a warehouse more stable.
