Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has led to various innovations, one of which is ChatGPT—a language model powered by artificial intelligence (AI) that has gained significant popularity among younger generations, particularly Generation Z. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the acceptance and use of ChatGPT among Gen Z by integrating two theoretical frameworks: the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). Based on data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling with the Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) approach, the research model demonstrates strong explanatory power, with an R² value of 0.722 for behavioral intention and 0.687 for use behavior. This indicates that the variables within the model account for a substantial proportion of the variance in the intention and actual use of ChatGPT. Out of the ten hypotheses tested, only four relationships were found to be statistically significant: Perceived Behavioral Control → Behavioral Intention, Perceived Behavioral Control → Use Behavior, Habit → Behavioral Intention, and Behavioral Intention → Use Behavior. The study involved 96 Gen Z respondents residing in Pekanbaru, selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected through the random distribution of questionnaires in various WhatsApp groups. The findings indicate that individual perceptions of control and habitual use play a crucial role in determining both the intention and actual behavior of using ChatGPT. In contrast, variables such as subjective norm, attitude toward behavior, performance expectancy, effort expectancy, hedonic motivation, and facilitating conditions did not show significant influence in this context. These results suggest that internal factors—particularly perceived behavioral control and user habits—are more dominant in influencing ChatGPT usage among Gen Z than external or social factors. Therefore, it is essential to design features that enhance user autonomy and promote the formation of positive usage habits.

Abstract

This study was conducted to assess the usability level of the Notion application using the USE (Usefulness, Satisfaction, and Ease of Use) Questionnaire and the Cognitive Walkthrough method. These methods were selected due to their proven effectiveness in generating accurate and relevant data for usability evaluation. By employing both the USE Questionnaire and the Cognitive Walkthrough, this research provides development recommendations aimed at optimizing Notion’s ability to enhance student productivity. The sample was determined using Slovin's and Nielsen's formulas, involving 100 student users of the Notion application in Indonesia and 3 active IT students as evaluators. The research instrument utilized a questionnaire based on a 4-point Likert scale. The results indicate that Notion has a relatively high level of usability in supporting student productivity. However, the study identified several usability weaknesses, particularly in the variables of Ease of Use, Ease of Learning, as well as in Task Scenario 1, Task Scenario 3, and Task Scenario 6.

Abstract

Digital transformation in the culinary industry, particularly in coffee shops like Jalur Langit Coffee, demands innovative solutions to address service inefficiencies and long queues that often hinder customer satisfaction. This study aims to design an interactive and responsive web-based information system that facilitates ordering, payment, and product reviews through a self-service model using QR code technology. The system was developed using the Waterfall methodology, encompassing requirements analysis, system design using Unified Modeling Language (UML), implementation, testing, and ongoing maintenance. It also incorporates a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) approach by applying the Customer Satisfaction Score (CSAT) metric to evaluate customer ratings of products. The results indicate a 95% success rate in ordering and payment processes, with the kopi tubruk product receiving a 78% satisfaction level based on CSAT scores. This research is limited to a single café location and does not yet support integration with external payment platforms. The system enhances service efficiency, product review management, and overall product quality, while also strengthening customer loyalty through review data analysis.

Abstract

The rapid growth of the beauty industry demands effective digital marketing strategies, including optimal website UI/UX design. This study explores the UI/UX design of the Bellina Studio website using the Design Thinking method to enhance user experience. The main issues identified include difficulties faced by customers in accessing service information, making reservations, and finding nail art references and promotional offers. The objective of this study is to design a more intuitive and efficient UI/UX interface to support Bellina Studio’s marketing strategy. The Design Thinking method was implemented through five stages: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. Usability evaluation was conducted using the System Usability Scale (SUS) on 105 respondents. The results show that the developed UI/UX design significantly improved user satisfaction and ease of access, achieving a SUS score of 82 from general users and 85 from expert users, both categorized as “excellent usability.” By applying the Design Thinking approach, this study aims to deliver an innovative, user-centered solution relevant to the digital beauty industry.

Abstract

The TEBAK (Teman Bermain Anak) Community is a social organization focused on children's education through educational games. However, it currently lacks a centralized information platform that allows members and the public to easily access information about activities, programs, and community developments. The absence of an effective information medium hinders both the dissemination of information and broader community participation. This study aims to design a website interface that supports TEBAK’s efforts in information sharing and community engagement. The design process adopts the Goal-Directed Design (GDD) method, an approach in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) that emphasizes user needs and goals. The design stages include research, modeling, requirements, refinement, and support. In the support phase, the System Usability Scale (SUS) was used to evaluate usability and user satisfaction. The testing results showed that the design received a score of 89.65 from community members and 88.55 from external stakeholders. These scores fall into the “Acceptable” category, with a Grade of “A” and an Adjective Rating of “Excellent.”

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital content has created significant challenges in information processing, particularly in languages like Indonesian, where automatic summarization remains complex. This study evaluates the performance of different T5 (Text-to-Text Transfer Transformer) model variants in generating abstractive summaries for Indonesian texts. The research aims to identify the most effective model variant for Indonesian language summarization by comparing T5-Base, FLAN-T5 Base, and mT5-Base models. Using the INDOSUM dataset containing 19,000 Indonesian news article-summary pairs, we implemented a 5-Fold Cross-Validation approach and applied ROUGE metrics for evaluation. Results show that T5-Base achieves the highest ROUGE-1, ROUGE-2, and ROUGE-L scores of 73.52%, 64.50%, and 69.55%, respectively, followed by FLAN-T5, while mT5-Base performs the worst. However, qualitative analysis reveals various summarization errors: T5-Base exhibits redundancy and inconsistent formatting, FLAN-T5 suffers from truncation issues, and mT5 often generates factually incorrect summaries due to misinterpretation of context. Additionally, we assessed computational performance through training time, inference speed, and resource consumption. The results indicate that mT5-Base has the shortest training time and fastest inference speed but at the cost of lower summarization accuracy. Conversely, T5-Base, while achieving the highest accuracy, requires significantly longer training time and greater computational resources. These findings highlight the trade-offs between accuracy, error tendencies, and computational efficiency, providing valuable insights for developing more effective Indonesian language summarization systems and emphasizing the importance of model selection for specific language tasks.

Abstract

Detecting students’ graduation potential is commonly performed by evaluating various academic and non-academic factors. This study aims to develop a predictive model for student graduation from the beginning of their academic journey, utilizing high school academic data such as grades, attendance, study hours, as well as demographic and social factors. The goal is to enable universities to identify students who are at risk of delayed graduation. With accurate predictions, institutions are expected to design more targeted academic interventions, such as tutoring, counseling, or other forms of academic support. A total of 396 student records were used in this study and processed through a series of preprocessing steps, including the removal of irrelevant data and the encoding of categorical variables. The model was developed using the Random Forest algorithm with parameters set to max_depth = 15 and random_state = 42. Model performance was evaluated using accuracy, recall, F1-score, and the ROC curve. The results show that the model achieved an accuracy of 89%, with the Pass class having a recall of 87% and an F1-score of 91%, and the Fail class showing a recall of 92% and an F1-score of 84%. Additionally, the Area Under the Curve (AUC) value of 0.94 indicates excellent model performance in distinguishing between students likely to graduate and those at risk of not graduating. This study confirms that the model is effective in classifying graduation outcomes based on early academic data. For further development, it is recommended to include additional variables such as psychological factors, learning motivation, and socioeconomic conditions. Moreover, tuning the model by adding other parameters—such as n_estimators, min_samples_split, and max_features—is suggested to improve the model’s accuracy and generalizability.

Abstract

An optimized User Experience (UX) design plays a significant role in creating a comfortable browsing experience, ensuring good accessibility, and enhancing user satisfaction. This study analyzes the UX design of the Info Loker Karawang website by applying the User-Centered Design (UCD) method and evaluating the resulting prototype using the System Usability Scale (SUS) to assess the website’s ease of use. The UCD method was selected because it places the user at the center of the design process, enabling the development of solutions that align closely with users’ needs, expectations, and characteristics. This approach has proven effective in producing relevant and intuitive interfaces through stages of analysis, design, and evaluation involving active user participation. Following the design phase, the prototype was tested using the SUS instrument to measure how well the design solution met usability and user satisfaction criteria. The evaluation results indicate that applying UCD in website design significantly improves usability, achieving a SUS score of 72.5, which falls into Grade B and is categorized as “Good” on the adjective rating scale. This research provides insights into the importance of user-centered approaches in website development and demonstrates the effectiveness of SUS in evaluating and measuring the success of UX design outcomes.

Abstract

Effective employee management is a critical factor in enhancing operational efficiency and organizational competitiveness. PT Sekawan Sahabat Sejati has faced challenges in employee administration due to manual processes using Microsoft Excel. These challenges include payroll calculation errors, difficulty in tracking data revisions, and delays in salary processing. This study aims to design and implement a web-based employee management information system to address these issues. The Agile Scrum methodology was employed, with data collected through field observations, stakeholder interviews, and literature reviews. The system was designed using an Entity Relationship Diagram and developed with the Next.js framework, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL as the database. The results show that the system can accurately automate base salary, allowances, and tax deductions, significantly reducing manual errors and accelerating the payroll process. System testing demonstrated notable improvements: payroll report generation time was reduced from 15 minutes to 4.02 seconds, attendance processing from 2 minutes to 3.08 seconds, creation of 500 employee records from 60 seconds to 1.2 seconds, and shift configuration storage from 3 minutes to 0.81 seconds. The application has proven to enhance administrative tasks by making them more efficient, transparent, and accountable. For future development, it is recommended to add mobile features, conduct user acceptance testing, and strengthen security through multi-factor authentication.

Abstract

Cardiovascular diseases and lung infections require intensive monitoring, especially for high-risk patients. The limited number of specialist doctors at Baubau Regional Hospital often leads to delays in patient treatment. This study aims to develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based health monitoring system that detects heart rate, oxygen saturation, and body temperature in real time using MAX30100 and DS18B20 sensors. The collected data is transmitted to Firebase and displayed on an Android application to facilitate remote monitoring. Testing results show an accuracy rate of 98.46% for heart rate, 98.6% for oxygen saturation, and 99.04% for body temperature, with deviations remaining within medically acceptable limits. The system’s preliminary diagnoses closely matched those of medical professionals, indicating its potential as an effective tool for early health risk detection and for supporting clinical decision-making.
