Supplier selection is being a strategic activity, especially when the supplier is supplying materials that will be used in the long term. In the world of construction, one part of the supply chain which has a significant contribution to the improvement of the company's effectiveness is the efficiency in the procurement of materials (raw materials) from suppliers. In the research found the problem of 50 TON of welded wire failed. This study aims to determine the criteria based on the company needs in determining the supplier of welding wire and provide the ranking of suppliers as a material consideration in determining the supplier. The study used the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method for the selection of criteria and the Technique For Order Performance By Similiar To Ideal Solution for rating or evaluating alternative suppliers. Based on the results of AHP calculation we get the weight of each criteria as follows, for the quality of 0.0644, the price 0.056, the delivery time of 0.158, the quantity 0.053, the response to the claim of 0.093, and from the criteria are made reference to the calculation of vendor selection using TOPSIS. Results obtained supplier S2, i.e., PT.Esabindo Pratama ranked first as a priority supplier with a preference value of 0.322. Excellence which is owned by supplier S2 (PT.Esabindo Pratama) are the criteria of quality, price, quantity

PT. INF is a steel mining company. It produce such as nickel pig iron. Nickel pig iron used raw materials stainless steel factory, nickel and steel mill rolls. The number of defective products for nickel pig iron in a few months getting on upward trend. This research will analyze the cause of the increasing defect product by using Six Sigma methode. Furthermore, the proposed improvement is done by using the failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) approach. The results shows the main problems are the higher value of Silica (Si) and phospor (P), the sigma level is obtained from the annual pig iron making process in 1.6 sigma, process improvement need to be done are monitoring and scheduling of burnlime powder orders, checking new materials by testing the formula against new materials, and making a repair schedule as well as focusing on changes in pressure on the monitor screen

PT. XYZ is a manufacturing company that produces the constituent components of HDD (Hard Disk Drive) products. One of the products produced by PT. XYZ made from rubber. The product has a strict specification, both for the accuracy of size and for display. One of the problems faced by PT. XYZ is the output of a 100% unstable check section even though the amount of human resources used is the same every day. There is a variation of the output / clock / operator from 650 to 714.4 pieces. This study aims to analyze the cause of the variation of output / hour / operator and to find solutions to minimize the output variation. The result of this research can be concluded that the cause of variation of output / hour / operator is the number of product type checked by operator not always the same every day. Where more and more types of products are checked then the smaller the output on that day. To get maximum results then the operator only do one type of product every day. If not possible then cultivated to a minimum operator change the type of product checked. It requires expertise from the supervisor to manage the work of the operator in an effort to get the maximum output.

The main factor to achieve business success in the era of globalization is quality. Quality control is key in maintaining customer loyalty. In the company's production process is still found the resulting product does not comply with the specified specifications. This study aims to determine the value of sigma and factors causing damage to the production process of bagging section For companies with quality control is expected to achieve corporate goals. In this study, the methods used is Six Sigma with define, measure, analyze, improve. Six Sigma result is measurement of company performance baseline at measurement stage that is company at condition 5,1 sigma with DPMO equal to 162,4532. The factors causing the disability of sugar packing are lack of research and skill of the operator, instability of conveyor speeds and jet engine position, machine hygiene condition, lack of weighing machine, and ineffective treatment, and control method.

CV. ABP a construction company worked in infrastructure building development for private and goverment. Now CV. ABP is handling infrastructure development project of the acropolitan area (Right Payment) Sukaci - Baros Village. This project has been late for 19 days from the dead line 126 days. Therefore the cost is getting higher. It happened because bad management is the problem source. Restoring the project time need to be focused on the cost and the due date based on the schedule. Scheduling evaluation using Critical Path Method (CPM) and Crashing to find optimal results using Critical Path Method (CPM) can be found the critical paths activity, there are ground digging , bopflang installation, stone installation, agregrate B agrgregation , aggregate A flatting, rigit bavement work, and refining, when the time suppression obtained optimal time results from 126 days to 92 days. It taken an alternative to the addition of working hours with duration 92 day after the crashing. Using two alternatives, additional working hours and the addition of workforce, obtaining the difference of extra hours of work cost Rp 80.128.125 and labourcost increase Rp 55.260 from the regular cost.

Quality control is an effort to increase customer satisfaction and minimize damage. Super Absorbent Polymer which is a product as a raw material for making baby diapers / elderly and sanitary napkins. In Super Absorbent Polymer, defects usually found in the colour contamination that there is a dark colour on the product, print labels mistakes and packaging defects. This study aims to determine the value of DPMO and sigma level, identify the efforts which is taken to reduce disability, identify the types of disability, and find the main factors causing disability. Six Sigma method is used to analyze data with define, measure, analyze, improve and control. The quantitative data obtained by direct observation of quality problems. By using the method of six sigma can be seen that the quality of the resulting product is quite good that is 3.07 sigma with a damage rate of 58,624 for a million production (DPMO). The three highest defect product causes are color contamination of 93.34%, misprint of 3.55%, and packaging damage as much as 3.11%. The main factor causing defects is the engine factor for the type of colour contamination defect,. The type of improper defects in the packaging labels and main factor for the packaging defects is the human factor.kecacatan rusaknya kemasan faktor utama ialah faktor manusia.

Many consequences caused by the condition of the work environment is not good. This can be caused by noise, lighting and temperature conditions. We need to determine the optimal value of these work environment factors in order to improve operator performance. The correlation between operator performance with work environment factor such as noise, lighting and temperature are found out by develope empirical model to describe relation between operator performance with work environment factor. The model is used to optimize operator performance. This research use surface response method. The experimental design used a central composite design. The research was conducted by experiments in the Laboratory of Analysis of Work Design and Ergonomics of Islamic University of Indonesia Yogyakarta. Variables taken are noise, lighting and temperature. Range for noise is 40 dB to 75 dB, lighting 200 lux to 700 lux, and temperatures between 20ºC to 35ºC. The experiment carried out was the resistor color matching for 5 minutes according to the combination of research variables that have been determined in the surface response method. Output is the number of truths that occur. Using this optimization model, optimal working environment conditions for noise of 60.5 dB, 354.5 lux illumination and temperature of 25.8º.
