Abstract

Thesis consultation is an activity that must be done for students who are taking thesis. Usually students who will conduct guidance will meet their lecturer or contact the lecturer before. Because the lecturer also has time to teach and perform other activities related to the campus. The number of students in Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Brawijaya (FILKOM UB) which they want to do guidance to make the students queue in front of lecturers room while the lecturer has a hectic schedule. Therefore it is necessary for the system to schedule thesis consultation. This research applies the concept of solution obtained using genetic algorithm. Genetic algorithm is a search algorithm that aims to find the optimal solution. The result of genetic parameters obtained in the optimal solution is population size 70, number of generation of 2500, combination of cr and mr value is 0,4 and 0,6. This built system resulted in an optimal thesis guidance schedule with a fitness value of 1,0305.

Abstract

Rescheduling is an option that can be chosen when lecturers are unable to attend on a schedule that has been determined by the academic or when there is a day off. This makes the lecturer need a rescheduling system to find another schedule quickly and appropriately to fulfill his duties as a lecturer. In this study use genetic algorithm for rescheduling based on lecturer schedule, student schedule, available room, course, and available time. The solution quality is measured using the fitness function. Based on the testing results that have obtained the optimal fitness value is 0.667. Result of Solution without clashed schedules but soft-constraint violated. The parameters with the highest fitness value from 10 experiments obtained the number of generation 30, population size 50, crossover rate 0.7 and mutation rate 0.3. The result is the optimal schedule available where the lecturers and most students of the class are reliable.

Abstract

Early childhood education program is very important. PAUD ABC is one of the schools that provide education for early childhood. In the process of education, PAUD ABC uses a liaison book and report for giving an academic information and administration for parents. However, in it's use there are several problems make the use of the book becomes ineffective.On The developed system there will be included with some features that expected to be used to solve the problems. Features include such as status knowing if parents have read the information provided from the liaison book or not, notifications for parents to provide informaion, as well as giving report about student's learning process to parents everyday. System development starts with requirement analysis using prototyping approach where there will be four times repeating process, then continue with designing and implementation process. The system will be tested using whitebox and blackbox method, which from the results will be known that the functions or the whole system can run well.

Abstract

Basically a human being is a social creature that needs each other. Surely every human must expect a normal life with a healthy body. A person who loses a physical or a physical disability will definitely be a challenge for them to be able to live social life with other people. Some patients with disabilities, especially those with disabilities, need a tool to enable them to interact normally with the help of rehabilitation tools. The design of rehabilitation tools utilizes from one of the intelligent bio-signal systems ie electrooculographic signal measurement techniques to record the electrical activity of eye movements. The hardware implementation uses five electrode sensors affixed around the eyes, an instrumentation amplifier OP07 with 416 amplification accompanied by high pass filter order 2 cutoff frequency 0.1Hz and low pass filter 2nd order 16Hz cutoff frequency and voltage source of the 9V circuit. Using the baseline method with a combination of calculating the exponential filter and threshold weight values. There is a process of designing and implementing hardware in a printed circuit board. The first software with the search for baseline values ​​of both channels, the process of calculating the weight value of 0.3 exponential filter for the noise can be resolved correctly and issued more accurate results, the determination of the five categories of eye movement ie front, right, left, top, and bottom with threshold value. The results of the test indicate that the first test of each eye movement is performed on 3 subjects reaching an average accuracy rate of 98.66%, the second of 5 consecutive eye movements performed on 3 subjects reaching an average accuracy rate of 96% and the third delay testing reaching flat the accuracy rate of 93.33%.

Abstract

One utilization of the fuzzy inference system is to diagnose HIV disease. In fuzzy inference system there is a membership function that plays an important role in solving the problem so that the function must be determined correctly and appropriately. Based on the rules and limitations of symptoms obtained from the expert used to establish the rules required in fuzzy logic to obtain accurate diagnosis of HIV disease. To obtain the right membership function can be done restrictions using Genetic Algorithm that can provide better accuracy results than the previous limitation. Genetic algorithm used can give accuracy about 45% for 24 data tested. Tests conducted using some of the best parameter values ​​there are, population value is 60, the generation is 40, crossover rate is 0.70 and mutation rate is 0.40. The optimization performed on fuzzy logic method using Genetic Algorithm has increased the accuracy about 20%.

Abstract

Heart disease is one of the non contagious diseases that can lead to death. This disease occurs because of the narrowing of blood vessels that cause impairment of heart function. The death rate that caused by a heart disease is continuing increase and according by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia research, in 2030 it reach 23.3 million peoples. It should be anticipated because the number of cardiologists in Indonesia is still very minimal. This research proposes framework Information Gain selection features with combination K-Nearest Neighbor and Naive Bayes to overcome the problems on the effectiveness and accuracy in classification heart disease. Information Gain algorithm used for reduce variable dimention to get relevant variables. After Information Gain selection features process is completed, the next process is classify numeric atributes with KNN and categorical atributes with Naive Bayes. The results of this research indicate an accuracy of 92.31% when the class distribution testing is balanced using 6 features with value of K=25 and when the class distribution testing is not balanced using 4 features with value of K=35. Based on these results, can be concluded that features selection Information Gain with combination KNN and Naive Bayes algorithm can be used for classifying heart disease.

Abstract

The most important aspect of measuring the quality of applications is usability. Usability can be determines how far a products or service can be used by user for reached the purpose and how easy to use the application interface.Applications with a high usability levels basically will usually have more users and loyal. Otherwise, if the usability levels of applications is too low eventually will be abandoned by the users and switch to the another application. In this study, which application will be analyzed is the mobile application of train ticket booking KAI Access. Measurement usability can be use usability testing techniques where the product evaluation process involves direct testing to the user sample. This test will be doing in three steps, first test assignment, second fill out questionnaire and third interview. Each parameter has several statements will be given to the user to assess the usability level of the KAI Access application. There are two tests in this study, beginning test and finals test. beginning tests were performed to analyze usability levels before recommendation. Then final tests were performed to analyze usability levels after recommendation. The recommendation will be used design guidelines to enhance best result.

Abstract

Quadcopter is UAV which has four motorcycle propellers used to move it. We can control quadcopter with smartphone or remote control while it is flying, but with a particular skill. Based on the issues, quadcopter should be developed in order to move and follow an object automatically. Quadcopter will detect and follow a black line directly. In this research, we use digital image processing that use canny detection and progressive probabilistic hough transform. Parrot AR Drone 2.0 is used in this research of quadcopter. Based on the result of research, it obtains the point of HSV from each parameter that is Hue with minimum point = 0 and maximum point = 180, Saturation with minimum point = 0 and maximum point = 255, and Value with minimum point = 0 and maximum point = 10. While the measure of frame used for detecting is 330*240 pixel and the percentage of precision of motion is 100 %. The system produces a delay that follows the line in the detected line to quadcopter and the point is 0,22 second. While altitude testing obtain the result that minimum high can be detected is 80 cm and maximum high is 230 cm.

Abstract

Infectious disease factors are serious constraints that farmers should be aware of especially for traditional farmers who do not join livestock groups. Slow and improper handling can endanger livestock conditions. However, if the initial treatment is done, the chances of infection of the disease can be handled so as not to be more severe and contagious to other goats in a herd. Unfortunately, the uncertainty between the symptoms and the type of disease makes the farmers obstructed in the initial treatment, and do not know what to do without an expert. Based on these problems, the authors make a system of diagnosis of goat disease that is able to perform the diagnosis process based on the symptoms of goat. This diagnostic system uses Bayesian network method, the system is built on mobile device applications using the Android platform as the user interface, while the calculation process using PHP programming language, and MySQL database to store the prevalence of goat disease that has occurred. This system through the process of system functional testing and system accuracy testing. In the process of testing the functionality of this diagnostic system shows the functions that exist on the system goes well. In addition, the process of accuracy testing of goat disease diagnosis system using Bayesian Network method is done by entering the variation of symptoms by experts get the result of 86.6%.

Abstract

FILKOM Apps is a website that gives administrational and academic informations for Faculty of Computer Science Brawijaya University student thesis. In each of interactions with the user, various perceptions could be generated by the student as a user include the negative perceptions towards the website and FILKOM UB as the organizations. In order to reduce problems from all negative perceptions that related to user experience, the evaluation was conducted include the redesigned website interface. The aim of this current study is to find out what problems that can be appeared when using FILKOM Apps by gathering various perceptions using User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) to measure user experience level of old design and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to gather perceptions and problems in detail. The first evaluation results each UEQ scale means of old design indicated neutral value and UEQ benchmark in “bad” category. Moreover, the major problems and negative perceptions have generated from FGD result as the redesigned of new interface design which focused on evaluation results, measured again and got high enhancement on each UEQ scale means and user experience category level on UEQ benchmark. Besides, by gathered written perceptions of new design results more positive perceptions.
