Abstract

The Research Institute for Sweeteners and Fibers (BALITTAS) is one of the technical implementing units (UPT) of the Agricultural Research and Development Agency which is directly responsible to the Plantation Research and Development Center in Bogor. The Research Institute for Sweeteners and Fibers (BALITTAS) has quite a lot of human resources. Leave management is still carried out using recordings in the general ledger. The leave application process uses a form obtained by the employee from the admin. The formula will be approved by the direct supervisor, the head of the administrative subdivision, and the head of the hall which will then be handed back to the admin. Manually managing data using a ledger is also at risk of being damaged and lost. Management of leave information system (SICUTI) which was developed to assist employees in the process of asking questions and obtaining information related to leave allowances. This system provides a forum for admins to manage employee data and submit leave data. The development of this system uses the waterfall model. The implementation system uses the PHP programming language and the CodeIgniter framework. The tests used are unit testing, integration testing and validation testing. Compatibility testing is carried out to determine the ability of the system to run in several browsers such as IE, Edge, Firefox, Safari, Opera, Chrome, iOS and Android. The result of this research is a website-based Leave Information System (SICUTI).

Abstract

Current technology requires a network that able to collect data continuously. With sensors that can collect data and able to communicate on a wireless network, communication will be possible. One of the wireless networks that can monitor certain environmental conditions in different areas is the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). However, due to the small transmission capacity of WSN, the monitoring process requires a method that can reduce the size of the data sent and requires a communication module that allows low-power devices to communicate with each other. One method to perform image compression is the Huffman Algorithm. And the communication module which excels in data transmission capacity and has low power consumption is 6Lowpan. The results obtained from the data size performance test, namely the compression method can reduce the image size by 25% from the previous image size and can reduce the number of packet sizes by 78% of the number of packets before being compressed. In addition, it can be concluded that the compression method can increase the packet delivery time, but the compression method can reduce the success rate of packet delivery and the average delay time in packet transmission.

Abstract

Management of alumni data at SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak is still done manually, namely by printing in the form of alumni books or class books. By using a printed book, the stored data cannot be changed. Alumni need the latest information from the school, for example cases when alumni who have just graduated want to take care of administration to schools such as legalizing diplomas and SKHU. Based on these problems, an alumni data collection information system was built using an iterative model. Data was collected by interviewing and observing PKU teachers as well as technicians at SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak. The needs analysis was compiled based on the results of follow-up interviews with the same teacher and a number of 2017 and 2019 alumni. In each iteration, the system design uses Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams. The implementation uses the MVC (Model, View, Controller) concept with the third version of the CodeIgniter framework. Furthermore, using black-box testing with 17 functional requirements tested and the results are smooth and 100% valid. In the first iteration User Acceptance Testing (UAT), testing was carried out on alumni who showed a Likert scale value of 347. In the second iteration User Acceptance Testing (UAT) was carried out for admins and students. The Likert scale value for admin is 50 and for students is 320. The level of user approval for the system is 92.5% for alumni, 100% for teachers, and 85.3% for students, which means this system can be accepted by the school, alumni, and student.

Abstract

Software Defined Network (SDN) is a concept that separates all control logic from network devices to a logically centralized control system named controller. One of the network applications that can be applied to the controller is routing. Routing algorithms are used to generate paths, for example Dijkstra's algorithm which computes the least cost from one node to another on the network. The cost is an important factor in determining which path to choose. When the cost is a fixed value, for example distance, it may result in the shortest path but not the optimal path, because link conditions are not considered. With a programmable SDN, the cost of Dijkstra's algorithm can be developed by considering the link conditions and artificial intelligence can be applied to cost calculations. In this research, the cost are based on available bandwidth and packet loss by using fuzzy logic. The results of the test, the system can determine the cost of the link from fuzzy logic calculations based on the available bandwidth and packet loss and find the path for the packet. Based on the results of the delay test, the system outperforms Dijkstra's static algorithm. Then based on packet loss testing, the system has packet loss ranging from 0-1%, while Dijkstra's static algorithm has a significant increase in the number of clients 25 and above. However, on the results of the convergence time, the system has a longer time than Dijkstra's static algorithm.

Abstract

The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing of Republic of Indonesia Lampung branch do their job in refer to the road performance indicator. Along with the time, their job did not correspond in reality on field and shows that the road service level has not fulfilled and the practice of the road performance indicator had not implemented maximally. After the contract had been signed and check the design, it is different on field. This thing results in the money and the time that they have to do to re-negotiate through technical justification. Other than that, low control to the job by the service provider and the customer should be gone to prevent the problems came back every year. The problems got more affected by the unprofessional manner by the quality control unit that stand under the Superintended General. Following up from that, so therefore needed an extra instrument in the controlling area to fulfill the road service level and the road performance indicator. This instrument had to be an extra tools in the form of an application that is used by Satker (Satuan Kerja) and PPK (Pejabat Pembuat Komitmen) to push the level of road service. The road performance indicator is the benchmark for the success of fulfilling the level of road service correspond to terms and condition apply. This development build with a method with 7 steps that starts at literature studies then requirement analysis, the planning process, implementation, testing, analysis of testing results, and end with drawing out the conclusion. Black Box Testing with validation methods is used in this development and the results of this development is Petik BM application where The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing of Republic of Indonesia Lampung branch claims that this application fastened their job in maintaining the road.

Abstract

The provision of the mobile application for the online registration of the outpatients in RSUD Dr. Kariadi functions to support the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and increase the public health status in the implementation of the Technology of Information and Communication in the targeted health sector. The user experience can determine whether a product is successful or failed and determine the performance. It is necessary to evaluate the user experience regularly to make the application function optimally. The method used in this study to analyze the user experience is Human-Centered Design (HCD). The data was taken from the respondents using the USE questionnaire to re-design and fix the user problems in the application. There are four aspects of usability in the USE questionnaire. They are usefulness, ease of use, learning, and satisfaction. These aspects are contained in the 30 statements measured by seven Likert scales. In this research, an initial evaluation was performed to see the range of the usability. Then, the data obtained is used to create a new design of user interface recommendations. A final evaluation is performed to measure the range of the usability on the design of the interface recommendation made. In the initial evaluation, the range of usability obtained was 57,94% which means that the usability is in a good enough category. In the final evaluation, the data of the usability range obtained was 73,79% or in a good category. The result shows that the application's new design has higher usability than the initial application.

Abstract

FILKOM APPS is software with a web platform that is integrated with business processes running at the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Brawijaya. The features offered by the FILKOM application are quite diverse, one of which is a dashboard. A dashboard is a visualization of information by providing an interface in various forms such as diagrams, reports, visual indicators combined with dynamic and relevant information. Faculties of Computer Science are often faced with fast academic business processes, for example, the process of guiding students' thesis to lecturers is often faced with a lack of efficiency and effectiveness in presenting data. In this regard, it is necessary to carry out continuous monitoring and measurement of performance to ensure the achievement of the goals that have been set. Improvement of the design by adding monitoring features to the evaluation of performance and processes using the Human-Centered - Design method which aims to create an interactive system that is expected to be able to solve problems regarding the effectiveness and efficiency of data presentation. The results obtained from the evaluation of the design improvement using the System Usability Scale, the effectiveness level is 69%, the efficiency level is 94.5% and the questionnaire results are 74.5% that the user is satisfied with the additional feature improvement, namely monitoring.

Abstract

Dampit waste bank is an organization engaged in the utilization of waste management that has been running by having 200 clients. Waste bank clients collect garbage and save it to the waste bank for later input into the client's savings book and recorded on the officer's ledger. The management process at the waste bank is still uses manual method using books or archives. Dampit Waste Bank has problems in terms of waste bank management where officers have difficulty in making transactions because recording transactions is done conventionally in the savings book. From waste bank clients side also find it difficult because they have difficulty seeing the total balance and information about the waste price list updates. Another problem that occurs is the lack of information about the environmental conditions of Dampit Village. The Dirty Environment Management System and Waste Bank were developed to help realize the goals of the Dampit Waste Bank organization and also help solve problems in the transaction process at the Dampit Waste Bank. System development was performed using the waterfall model with an object-oriented approach. This system was tested using the whtebox technique in unit and integration testing and used the blackbox technique in validation testing. The development of the system was produced a system that can solve problems in terms of transactions by waste bank officers and customers and also can report a dirty environment to find volunteers, especially in the Dampit Village area.

Abstract

Waste is a universal problem. According to World Bank, there would be 3,4 billion tonnes of waste annually in 2050. To reduce waste in Indonesia landfills there are scavengers that sort the recyclable waste from the organic ones manually, but their capacity is limited. To increase the sorting rate there should be a sorting machine right from the source, which is civilian homes, or offices. To create such machine the writer will produce a sorting machine for organic waste and recyclable waste using the Resnet50 method. To train the Resnet50 model the writer use a dataset from Kaggle which consist of 22500 training and testing data. The Resnet50 model will be trained using 20 epochs with learning rate of 0,001 for the first 10 epoch and a learning rate of 0,0001 for the next 10 epochs, which resulted in a model with 99% accuration, 3% loss, 96% accuration validation, and 12% loss validation. The machine will then be tested with different object to camera lengths starting from 16 cm, 18 cm, 20 cm, 22 cm, 24 cm, and 26 cm. The best accuration is gained from the length of 20 cm and 22 cm with 85% accuration and overall average classification time of 1,17 seconds.

Abstract

Microservice architecture is one of the architectures that can be used in software development, by making every business process in the application into a microservice. Microservices have advantages such as easy scalability, extensibility with different technologies, and increased software agility. However, in developing using microservices there are challenges regarding how to know the behavior of each running microservice, this challenge is felt when there are too many microservices running. The monitoring platform is the answer to these challenges, the monitoring platform will help to provide visibility to the running microservices. The monitoring platform will help show the workload of each microservice, incoming and outgoing network packets, and record event logs for each microservice. As the number of running microservices grows, new challenges will emerge for the monitoring platform. The monitoring platform must be able to receive data from various microservices with various forms of data. The researcher tries to solve this problem by implementing a monitoring platform for microservice architecture using elastic stack. This monitoring platform will be built on several servers with elastic stack components installed and each server has its own function. The monitoring platform will centralize all microservices data on a single platform, and the platform provides a single dashboard to unify the performance of all microservices without the need to move to another dashboard. To ensure this platform can receive a lot of data from all microservices and can always be accessed at any time, several tests were carried out. Fault tolerance testing to ensure the platform will continue to run even if one server is down. Load balancer testing will be carried out to ensure that the platform load is evenly distributed on each server. snapshot and restore to ensure data is stored for a long time, latency testing to ensure data sent to the elastic stack does not take a long time, and lastly is confidential testing to ensure only authorized users can ensure certain monitoring data.
