Abstract

Kurikulum yang diterapkan di Indonesia saat ini telah mengubah paradigma pembelajaran konvensional yang sudah dilaksanakan selama ini. Pembelajaran yang semula bersifat terisolasi berubah menjadi pembelajaran yang bersifat jejaring. Pembelajaran yang bersifat jejaring juga telah mengalami evolusi dari yang semula bersifat asinkron menjadi bersifat sinkron. Pembelajaran sinkron adalah pembelajaran dimana dosen dan mahasiswa bisa berinteraksi pada waktu yang sama melalui perangkat teknologi informasi. Instant Messaging (IM) merupakan salah satu media yang digunakan untuk menyelenggarakan proses pembelajaran sinkron. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa IM yang sering dipakai oleh mahasiswa adalah Whatsapp, Line, dan BlackBerry Messenger (BBM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) IM yang memiliki nilai System functionality tertinggi adalah Whatsapp; (2) IM yang memiliki nilai System interactivity tertinggi adalah Whatsapp; dan (3) IM yang memiliki nilai Usability tertinggi adalah Whatsapp

Abstract

Teachers as professional educators should have some competencies, such as pedagogical competence, personal competence, social competence, and professional competence. The focus of this workshop is on the professional competence which its definition is the teacher's ability in mastering broad and in-depth subject matter that allows guiding students to meet the competency standards set in the National Education Standards. There are many activities that can support or enhance the professional competence of teachers, such as writing. By writing, teachers have the opportunity to develop themselves in order to become more creative, active, innovative and professional teachers. The module of X applications usage for vocational teachers can be used to support teacher activities in writing scientific papers. This module will be useful to facilitate the writing of citations in a scientific work. Using the Mendeley application in this workshop, make the teacher to be more insightful which support their research activity, also can improve their motivation to know how the important thing of research in their field. Therefore, this service activity want to give the teacher a knowledge of tips and tricks to facilitate journal writing. There are tools that can be used to make citations in the bibliography, such as the reference feature, Endnote, or Mendeley. So that the teacher's writing will be known and it is easier for teacher to convey the results of his research in relevant journals, especially vocational teachers in Malang.

Abstract

AbstrakPandemi Covid-19 menyebabkan pembelajaran harus dilakukan secara mandiri dan mengkibatkan keterbatasan media siswa sehingga siswa membutuhkan sebuah media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu dalam memahami materi. Aplikasi berbasis augmented reality menjadi salah satu opsi agar pembelajaran dapat diakses secara offline. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menguji dampak yang ditimbulkan dari pembelajaran seperti ini dan mengetahui tingkatan minat belajar siswa pada kelas X TKJ di SMK PGRI 2 Malang. Penelitian menggunakan model Research and Development, pembuatan aplikasi menggunakan Adobe XD, unity, dan Vuforia. Metode pengumpulan data melalui kegiatan observasi, wawancara dan pemberian kuesioner pada siswa. Data penelitian yang didapatkan dianalisis dengan metode uji Aiken’s V dengan hasil rata-rata sebesar 0,635 oleh ahli media, 0,822 oleh pengguna, dan sebesar 0,722 oleh ahli materi dengan kategori keseluruhan media dan materi layak digunakan. Hasil analisis peningkatan minat belajar siswa menggunakan metode paired t-test didapatkan jumlah nilai pre-test 606 dengan rata-rata 30,3 dan mengalami peningkatan jumlah nilai post-test 436 dengan rata-rata 21,8 dengan model angka ranking yaitu semakin sedikit nilai maka semakin tinggi minat belajar siswa. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu penerapan teknologi augmented reality untuk media pembelajaran dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa SMK TKJ.Kata kunci: pengembangan, media pembelajaran, minat belajar, Augmented Reality, Research and Development, Uji Aiken’s V, paired t-test.Abstract[Application of Augmented Reality Technology in Recognition of Computer Hardware for Learning Media to Increase Learning Interest in SMK TKJ Students] The Covid-19 pandemic causes learning to carried out independently and limitations of students media. Students need a learning media that can help to understanding the material. Augmented reality are an option to help students learn. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of using augmented reality and knowing student interest in learning at class X TKJ at SMK PGRI 2 Malang. The research uses the Research and Development, model of making applications using Adobe XD, unity, and Vuforia. Data collection methods are observation, interviews, and giving questionnaires. The research data were analyzed by Aiken's V method for media testing by experts with average results of 0.635 and 0.822 by users, 0.722 by material experts that overall category are suitable for use. The results is increasing student interest in learning with the Paired t-test method obtained of Pre-test scores of 606 with an average of 30.3 then increase in Post-test to 436 with an average of 21.8 with a ranking number model that the fewer scores the higher the student's interest in learning. The conclusion of this study is that the application of Augmented Reality technology for learning media can be used to increase student interest in learning.Keywords: development, learning media, interest in learning, Augmented Reality, Research and Development, Aiken's V test, paired t-test.

Abstract

The empowerment activity was motivated by excessive use of inorganic fertilizers, chemical pesticides and herbicides in the process of vegetable cultivation and other agricultural commodities in the vegetable center of Bokor Village. The high cost of labor for weed control causes farmers to overuse herbicides. The practice of vegetable cultivation with high chemical inputs has an impact on agricultural land degradation, high costs of productions and chemical residues in vegetable production. On the long period, chemical residues can endanger consumer’s health. The objectives of this service are: 1). Increasing awareness of farmers to cultivate vegetables that are safe for consumption with the principles of healthy farming; 2). Reducing damage to agricultural ecosystems due to unhealthy agricultural practices. Mentoring activities are carried out during May-September 2018 (5 months), with a target of 20 participants. The methods of activities that carried out was a survey and discussion of the implementation of healthy farming with the Bokor Village farmer group; comparative study on the Brenjonk Organic Community, Trawas, Mojokerto; then followed by mentoring vegetable cultivation using biological agents in the study plot.From the results of the mentoring activity, it can be concluded: 1. It has provided knowledge and skills to farmers to implement healthy farming, 2. It has been running quite effectively by looking at the results of evaluations that are in line with the achievement targets.

Abstract

Berkembangnya e-learning dalam dunia pendidikan memberikan dampak yang besar pada tingkatan sekolah dasar sampai dengan perguruan tinggi. Hal ini diikuti dengan banyaknya e-learning yang dapat digunakan oleh siswa seperti ruang guru, Edmodo, google classroom dan masih banyak lagi. Semakin banyak e-learning yang digunakan pada proses belajar, maka dengan ini paradigma pendidikan juga mengalami pergeseran menjadi student centered learning. Namun penggunaan LMS ini belum dikatakan maksimal, salah satunya ditunjukkan melalui minimnya interaksi pada forum diskusi pada LMS. Keberadaan forum diskusi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana siswa berpartisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan belajar melalui sebuah penggunaan teknologi. Pada penelitian ini, jenis penelitian menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dengan metode survey. Persentase penerimaan teknologi e-learning sebagai media pembelajaran alternatif pada siswa SMK di Kota Malang diperoleh untuk kelima variabel menggunakan McCall model, antara lain: (1) correctness, didapatkan hasil rata-rata dari tiga indikator tersebut sebesar 73% yang berada pada kategori tinggi; (2) Reliability dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 72% yang berada pada kategori tinggi; (3) Efficiency dengan pemerolehan nilai rata-rata diperoleh sebesar 76% yang berada pada kategori sangat tinggi; (4) Integrity dengan nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh sebesar 74% yang berada pada kategori tinggi; (5) Usability dengan pemerolehan nilai rata-rata sebesar 76% yang berada pada kategori sangat tinggi. Rata-rata dari variable ini memiliki nilai sebesar 75% yang artinya kualitas e-learning memberikan dorongan pada siswa dalam menggunakan e-learning sebagai media pembelajaran. Kualitas e-learning yang digunakan pada pembelajaran menghasilkan hasil belajar yang meningkat

Abstract

The development of national industry in Indonesia still faces a number of obstacles such as inadequate infrastructure condition, as well as an increase on subsidised fuel price increase, basic electricity rate and minimum wage. Small and medium scale (SME) food industry is one sector of creative industries with a high contribution to the Indonesian economic development. This study aims to get an overview related to agribased agri-sector SME and to identify internal and external factors to formulate appropriate strategies. The data used were primary data from 30 craftsmen in tempe Sanan Malang Chips Center. Data analysis was done descriptively quantitative using Entrepreneurial Marketing concept consisting of 7 dimensions. The results showed that the SME had a strength in terms of its already known products, the weakness was that the product has not been able to meet the export market share. An appropriate strategy was to improve marketing and processing technology.

Abstract

Mushroom is one of the main commodities of agroindustry which experienced an increase in production due to the existence of consumer awareness to consume healthy products. The popularity causes the development of the mushroom processing industries in Malang. To improve the quality of products, mushroom SMEs need to further develop the company performance. Company performance can be achieved with an effective competitive advantage. Competitive advantage is a factor that a company should have in order to succeed in business. The fundamental source of competitive advantage is assets. This research use a Barney’s theory in determining strategic resources to achieve competitive competitiveness called Resource-Based View (RBV). The purpose of this research are to determine the influence of: (1) tangible assets on competitive advantage strategy, (2) intangible assets on competitive advantage strategy, (3) company capability on competitive advantage strategy, and (4) competitive advantage strategy on company performance. The exploration techniques utilised are quantitative and Partial Least Square (PLS). The results showed that the tangible assets and company capability have a strong influence and positively contribute to competitive advantage strategy, meanwhile intangible assets have a weak influence and negatively contribute to competitive advantage strategy, and competitive advantage strategy has a strong influence and positively contributes to company performance.

Abstract

Jurusan Teknik Pengairan Universitas Brawijaya (UB) merupakan salah satu jurusan yang berada Fakultas Teknik Universitas Brawijaya. Jurusan ini memiliki website dengan alamat www.pengairan.ub.ac.id yang digunakan sebagai media informasi kepada sivitas akademika. Namun, website tersebut tidak menyediakan informasi yang terbaru. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan pihak jurusan, ditemukan permasalahan bahwa para operator memiliki sedikit pengetahuan dan ketidakkemampuan dalam mengelola website jurusan. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam mengelola website menjadi solusi dari permasalahan tersebut. Metode pelatihan yang sesuai dalam kegiatan ini adalah ceramah yang dikombinasikan dengan metode demonstrasi. Kegiatan pelatihan ini dilaksanakan pada 20-22 September 2021 dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 16 orang. Hasil pelatihan yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh bahwa kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dosen dan tenaga kependidikan Jurusan Pengairan dalam memanfaatkan website jurusan untuk memberikan informasi akademik pada program studi di Jurusan Teknik Pengairan UB.Department of Irrigation Engineering is one of the departments in the Faculty of Engineering, University of Brawijaya. This department has a website with the address www.pengairan.ub.ac.id, a medium of information for academics. However, the website needs to provide updated information. Based on the results of interviews with the department, it was found that the operators needed more knowledge and were unable to manage the department's website. Therefore, training and mentoring activities in managing websites are the solutions to this problem. The appropriate training method for this activity is the lecture combined with the demonstration method. This training activity was held on 20-22 September 2021 with 16 participants. The training results can improve the knowledge and skills of Lecturers and Educational Staff of the Department of Irrigation in utilizing the department's website to provide academic information on study programs in the Department of Irrigation Engineering UB.

Abstract

Pembelajaran kolaboratif dalam pembelajaran di kelas menjadi penting diimplementasikan agar dapat menciptakan interaksi sosial yang ada antar siswa. Hal ini bermanfaat bagi pemahaman siswa dan juga peningkatan kemampuan mereka dalam menyelesaikan masalah yang diberikan oleh guru secara berkelompok. Dengan adanya pandemi covid-19, membuat masalah dalam pembelajaran semakin kompleks meskipun di satu sisi, guru dituntut untuk menghasilkan lulusan yang kompeten. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa dan juga kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah, maka diperlukan pelatihan bagi guru dalam mengelola tugas melalui penggunaan website Trello. Kegiatan pelatihan ini mendukung dalam peningkatan kemampuan guru terutama pemanfaatan aplikasi sebagai alat bantu yaitu Trello untuk menerapkan pembelajaran kolaboratif. 16 peserta yaitu guru dari SMKN 9 dan SMKN 12 Malang bersedia mengikuti pelatihan ini secara luring dan daring selama dua hari pada tanggal 11-12 Agustus 2022. Metode pelaksanaan pelatihan ini dengan menerapkan metode ceramah dalam penyampaian materi, diikuti dengan demonstrasi oleh pemateri dan diikuti oleh peserta, dan penugasan. Selain itu, diberikan juga pretest dan posttest untuk mengukur pengetahuan guru dalam pelatihan ini serta kuesioner pelaksanaan pelatihan. Berdasarkan tugas yang dikumpulkan oleh guru, terdapat 2 guru yang tidak aktif dalam pelatihan atau tidak mengumpulkan tugas 1, 2 dan 3, dan 4 orang guru tidak mengumpulkan tugas 3. Hasil pretest dan posttest menunjukkan adanya penurunan dari rata-rata pretest dan posttest-nya. Namun tugas yang dihasilkan cukup menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan terkait pemanfaatan Trello itu sendiri. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini menghasilkan kemampuan guru meningkat dalam memanfaatkan Trello untuk mendukung pembelajaran kolaboratif sebesar 56% yang mengumpulkan sebuah video pemanfaatan Trello.Collaborative learning has an important role in developing social interaction between students. Collaborative learning benefited students' understanding and increased their ability to solve problems in groups. The Covid-19 pandemic made problems in learning more complex, and teachers were required to produce competent graduates. Therefore, the purpose of this training activity was to increase student understanding and students' ability to solve problems. Problem-solving could be trained in students using management assignment collaboration. So this training was needed for teachers to manage assignments using the Trello website. This training activity also supported improving teachers' abilities, especially by using Trello applications in implementing collaborative learning. Many 16 teachers from SMKN 9 and SMKN 12 Malang were willing to participate in this training. This training was held offline and online for two days on 11-12 August 2022. The method of this training was lecturing in delivering material, demonstrating, and giving assignments. The training was evaluated using a pretest, posttest, and questionnaire. Based on the assignments collected by the teacher, two teachers were not active in training or did not submit three assignments, and four teachers did not submit third assignments. The results of the pretest and posttest described a difference from the average. However, the resulting tasks show significant results regarding using Trello. Implementing this activity increased teachers' ability to use Trello in supporting collaborative learning by 56% who submitted a video on using Trello.

Abstract

Smartphone technologies that exist today, comes to offer a number of easines for the communications process that is performed by humans. Through the use of smartphone technology, humans are able to communicate in realtime communication without distance limitations. However, people with visual impairment actually confront it with a number of differences. People with visual impairment is a disability category who have physical limitations for work that requires visualization capabilities. So with these limitations, they can't operate a smartphone to communicate with others. Through this research, developed a voice-interaction-based messaging application to help people with visual impairments to communicate with others using a smartphone. This application allows users to control the application by touch or voice commands. Users will receive feedbacks in the form of speech output for each given voice command. Based on MOS (Mean Opinion Score) Testing that has been done, obtained MOS value by 3.7. It means, the average user stating that the voice-interaction service that contained in the application has a good quality.
