Abstract

Monitoring technology could bring benefit to the agricultural sector. By monitoring the condition of the surrounding environment of the crop, the farmers could get the data regarding the condition of the crops and able to take action to maintain the condition of the crops so the harvest will yield the best result. This monitoring technology could be made possible by building a wireless sensor network. Wireless sensor network is a network that consist of numerous sensor node that connected via wireless media. To cover the whole crop field a flexible and easily configurable media is needed. RF24Mesh protocol is a flexible protocol thanks to the mesh based network it operates on and have an automatic configuration. The network that has been built and implemented in this study has proved to be able to fulfill the requirements for agricultural use which is collecting data from sensors. The test results reveal that 0-10% packet loss occured in 100 continuous transmission in different scenarios with various end-to-end delay ranging from 0,74 seconds to 0,94 seconds.

Abstract

In Indonesia has demanded competitiveness to face the competition. One such competition is the fulfillment of human resources in vocational education development. There are so many vocational schools in Indonesia, one of which is National Vocational High School Malang. Based on the results during Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL), this school has not yet developed modules or media. The solution to these problems is to develop interactive multimedia with APPED model with the initial stages of analysis until dissemination. For an ongoing evaluation with three aspects of certain assessments have all worked well. Then the results of alpha testing are 83.5% and 72.5%. After that the results of beta testing are 85% by student responses. For the dissemination, pre-test and post-test experiments were conducted. The average for pre-test score is 54, and the average for post-test score is 87, which means that there is an increase before and after the interactive learning multimedia is tested. For the normality test in the pre-test is 0.27, the post-test is worth 0.33. All normality test values ​​are more than 0.05 so the distribution is normal. For the t test it is worth 0,000 which means it is less than 0.05. So for the t test, there is a difference in the average value between the results of the pre-test and post-test. From all validations and tests, it can be concluded that Interactive Multimedia Learning is feasible to use in the learning process.

Abstract

English has been an international language for communication among global citizens. A good English ability is highly required for Indonesians to be able to communicate with other people around the world. However, learners in Indonesia frequently encounter a myriad of challenges in learning English, including their reluctance to study new English vocabulary, worry of making mistakes, and feeling bored with the conventional teaching methods. The main four English skills that should be mastered by the learners are writing, reading, listening, and speaking. Excellent vocabulary mastery has been one of the key factors to become proficient at those four skills. English learning system using gamification approach serves as one of the solutions to improve learners' motivation in learning English. The use of gamification concept integrates several elements embedded in game applications, such as point collection, achievement, ranking, which are wrapped as English learning materials. Website-based learning system can be accessed without any place and time constraint, so that learners can study English autonomously and flexibly. This type of English learning system is developed using a software development model ‘Waterfall' with some certain procedures, including needs analysis, designing, implementation, and system test. This learning system has been examined by testing unit using White box method and validation test using Black box. Based on a series of the conducted tests, it demonstrated that the functional system has been running as designed and the result of the tests showed a 100% validity level.

Abstract

Pembina Muslim Daarussalaam Foundation is an educational institution located in Swarga Bara, North Sangatta, East Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan. The Foundation provides 8 school transports which are used to provide shuttle services for 160 Daarussalaam Islamic Kindergarten and Elementary students. The route for the shuttle is determined by the school transport driver. This research is conducted to determine the optimal shuttle route that will help school transport driver. The problem of this research is Multiple Traveling Salesman Problem (M-TSP) and one of the optimization methods that can help solve this problem is genetic algorithm. This research use a permutation representation, chromosome representation divided into 3 clusters, penjemputan (cluster 1), pengantaran 1 (cluster 2), and pengantaran 2 (cluster 3). Then the reproductive process is done by crossover with ordered crossover method and mutation with swap mutation method then the selection process is done by elitism selection method. With genetic algorithm that are 10.000 generations, population size 90, and combination of cr value = 0,6 and mr value = 0,4. The average fitness value in this research is 3,047. With the result of this research, Pembina Muslim Daarussalam Foundation can reduce the mileage by 400,82 KM and travel time around 877 minutes.

Abstract

Edotel Pamekasan is a hotel owned by Public Vocational High School 3 Pamekasan which functions as a hotel as well as a students' learning laboratory. Their operational activities are still done manually, which leads to several problems, such as overlapping room reservations and warehouse's sudden out of stock. Addressing this problem, a solution proposed by improving business processes with the implementation of a hospitality information system. The development of the hospitality information system uses the Rational Unified Process (RUP) method, considering its iterative ability that can respond to requirements change. In the inception phase, business process analysis and improvement focuses on reservations, check-in registration, check-out, warehouse stock management, and operational reporting activities. Continue in the elaboration phase, 7 features, 32 functional requirements, and 1 non-functional requirement are obtained through 2 iterations. In the construction phase, black-box testing showed that the implementation is appropriate, while compatibility testing gave 3 browser recommendations. Last in the transition phase, the system installation was done then User Acceptance Testing to hotel employees gave 93.4% mean score. It can be summed users strongly agreed to the solution proposed. At the end of the research, a hospitality information system was produced in order to manage reservations, guest registration, room search, managing goods management, and operational reporting in Edotel Pamekasan.

Abstract

PLN (Persero) is a state-owned enterprise engaged in the electricity sector. PT. PLN is divided into several units, one of them is the East Java and Bali Transmission units. Each transmission unit has a basecamp in which there is a division of protection, meter and automation maintenance. This division is responsible for maintaining shutdown testing based on the type of protection relay using a protection relay test equipment. The test results are recorded on the testing form, then the data entered into Microsoft Excel. After all the test results are complete, made a report, printed and examined by the supervisor for approval. Based on the problems that have been described, a tool is needed to help the process of recording and reporting to be more effective and efficient with information systems. The information system development method used is waterfall with the stages of requirements analysis, design, implementation and testing. Implementation results is an information system for recording web-based protection relay testing. This system allows officers to add data and print test results, supervisors can verify and the parties concerned can directly check the results of the test. Furthermore, the implementation results are tested by validation testing which shows valid test results according to the requirements that have been identified, browser compatibility testing shows there are 17% error issues and the system can be run on several browsers without any obstacles found.

Abstract

Information-centric networking is a concept of network architecture which is a content-centric model, so there is no need to connect directly to the server to get the content sought by the client. The in-network caching strategy in ICN is a caching strategy that stores content as cache spread across the network. In-network caching consists of two combinations of cache placement and cache replacement strategies. The cache placement strategy manages the placement of content on a collection of routers that acts as a content store, while the cache replacement strategy manages content replacement when the cache storage capacity is full. If the content is not removed quickly and precisely it will have an impact on the efficiency of the content that will be received by the client, resulting in a small cache hit ratio and increased latency. The cache placement and cache replacement strategies are interrelated with each other in in-network caching. Content needs to be disseminated to the network through the content store optimally and ensure that the stored content is the latest and has the chance of a cache hit. Performance evaluation of in-network caching strategies is based on cache hit ratio performance metrics, latency and path stretch. In-network caching strategy testing is done with the Icarus simulator which is specifically designed according to the ICN architecture. The results obtained from this study are the combination of ProbCache cache placement strategy with LFU cache replacement has a superior performance according to test parameters compared to other in-network caching strategies. ProbCache and LFU obtained an average CHR value of 54.02%, an average latency of 0.54 ms, and an average path stretch ratio of 4.76.

Abstract

The growing use of communication media makes information easy to obtain including information on products provided in online stores. The rating feature on the website is a way to see the quality of the product to be purchased so as not to make a wrong choice when purchasing a product that can have a bad impact. Abundant data about product reviews in various online sources are useful as study material for producers in improving product quality. The existence of review data that is found without accompanying the rating makes it difficult for producers to determine the review into a particular sentiment. In this study can accelerate the determination of reviews into sentiment in the form of rating. This study uses a linear regression method and k-nearest neighbor as a prediction method and the method of weighting the contextual valence shifter based on the lexicon dictionary after pre-processing. The use of n-gram includes unigram, bigram, and trigram aimed at increasing the accuracy of the system. The greatest percentage is obtained at tolerance 1 with the results obtained by trigrams greater than bigram or unigram with linear regression method, namely 77% accuracy while k-NN gets 75% accuracy at k = 20 and k = 30. The test results show the use of n-grams, especially bigram and trigram has a positive impact on the results of system accuracy.

Abstract

Indonesia is a tropical country that has the most biodiversity in the world. Almost all of the plants part like leaf, root, stem, fruit, flowers, seeds, and rhizome can be used for human health. In Indonesia the utilization of plants as medicine is so limited. Therefore, further research and continuous plant drugs or herbal remedies is really needed as well as the technologies are able to maximize the utilization. In 1980, David Weininger found a chemical notation for processing informations that related to a modern chemistry named Simplified Molecular Input Line System (SMILES) and that notation is specifically for computer used. On this research, K-Means Naive Bayes methods are used for the classification of the functions of the active compounds because this methods are able to grouping data according to their similarity and the classification process is much easier to understand. Based on the test results, the K-Means Naive Bayes are abled to give an accuracy system 85.45% with a 80% training data ratio and 20% testing data. The system also being tested using K-Fold Cross Validation with K-Fold as many as 10, the highest accuracy that can be given is 86.66% on 9th fold and the lowest is 70.37% on 1st fold. While the average of accuracy using the K-Fold Cross Validation is 82.6%.

Abstract

e-TPT Kantor Pelayanan Pajak Pratama Malang Utara is an innovation application by Kantor Pelayanan Pajak Pratama Malang Utara. This application was made to support tax activity which is conducted by taxpayer. The main features of this application is to get queue number online. From the beginning of its publication, this application only focus on functionality and has not been tested for its usability. Therefore, heuristic evaluation is conducted to find out what usability problems exist in the application. The evaluators involved in this heuristic evaluation process were 3 evaluators. Usability evaluation using heuristic evaluation method resulted in a total of 30 problems. From these 30 usability problems, the average of severity ratings that is found can be classified into 3 of 4 category namely cosmetic, minor and mayor. The most usability problems are found in H-4 (Consistency and Standards) with total 7 problems or 23.3% from all problems found. While the highest average of severity rating is found in H-9 (Help User Recognize, Diagnose and Recovers User) which has an average severity ratings of 3. Improvement recommendations are made based on the results of the heuristic evaluation and produce 10 page designs and 6 pop-up / notification designs.
