Abstract

The aim of this research was to describe about teaching learning process using Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) to increase student’s active and study result to the eleventh grade student’s at SMP N 2 Kalibawang. The hypothesis of this research was applying Cooperative could increase student’s active and student’s study result. This research was Classroom Action Research (CAR) collaboratively. The research result showed that after applying Cooperative Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) in teaching learning process, the student’s active increasing. Before this research the students were passive to listen to the teacher’s explanation but after this research the students were more active to ask and discuss in group.  Means student’s score increased, first 56,72 score, increasing in first cycle was 67,41 and increasing second cycle was 70. From the result above, it showed that Cooperative Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) method could increase student’s active and study result.

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to know the achievement of tendency and learning mathematics desire seventh grade students of junior high school in SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Wonosari use cooperative learning model that conclude STAD and TAI types, to know which one the most effective. The type of this research was quasi experiment research. The population of this research was seventh grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Wonosari academic year 2013/2014. The data that will be analyzed were two classes’ amount 73 students. The data were collected by cluster random sampling technique with drawing way. The data collecting technique were using test and questionnaire technique. Experiment analysis instrument was done usefully include validity, different power, level of difficulties and reliability test. The data analysis technique was descriptive and hypothesis test that done by due diligent test. The result of this research can conclude that: Mathematics learning achievement of STAD students experiment was categorized as medium, mathematics achievement of TAI students experiment was high categorized; Mathematics learning desire of STAD students experiment was high categorized, mathematics learning desire of TAI students experiments was high categorized; Based on mathematics learning of students, TAI experiment group have higher achievement than STAD experiment group therefore cooperative learning model TAI type more effective that cooperative learning STAD type. TAI experiment group have higher mathematics learning desire than STAD experiment group, so cooperative learning model TAI type more effective that cooperative learning model STAD type, it can seen from learning mathematic desire of students.

Abstract

the purpose of this research was to improve the self learning and learning mathematics achievement of students of class VII H SMP N 2 Maos through Who Want To Be A Star Class learning method. The subjects of this research was students of class VII H SMP Negeri 2 Maos totaling 34 students. The object of this research was self learning and mathematics learning outcomes. The result showed that after application of learning method Who Want To Be A Star Class in class VII H SMP N 2 Maos, self learning and mathematics achievement of students has increased. This is indicated by an increase in the result percentage average self learning score of 74,43% in the pre-action, whereas at the first cycle improves with average percentage 81,47%. In the second cycle improve to 84,37%. Mathematics achievement of students also increased. At the beginning of the test the ability is 62,94. In the first cycle, the average result improves to 71,47. In the second cycle the average result improves to 75,88.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the correlation between students perception about pedagogik competence of mathematics teacher and motivation to learn with the results of mathematics learning. This research method applied descriptive of correlation. The population in this research is grade VII SMP N 1 Jetis totaling 181 students, with a sample of 120 students taken by cluster random sampling. Analytical techniques multiple regression analysis with requirment of normality and linierity. Based on the results of the research, R = 0,488, meaning that there was a positive correlation between students perception about pedagogik competence of mathematics teacher and motivation to learn and with the results of mathematics learning. 0,246, meaning that there was a positive correlation between students perception about pedagogik competence of mathematics teacher with the results of mathematics learning. 0,285, meaning that there was a positive correlation between motivation to learn with the results of mathematics learning.

Abstract

An effort to increase the students’ interest and achievement in learning mathematics through cooperative learning model type investigation group of students grade VII C SMP Negeri 1 Kalibawang, Kulon Progo in year 2013/ 2014. The type of this research is a classroom action research. The subject of the research are the students grade VII C SMP Negeri 1 Kalibawang, Kulon Progo. It consists of 34 students. The object of this research is students’ interest and achievement in learning mathematics through cooperative learning model type investigation group. The result of the study shows that after applying this learning model, students’ interest and achievement has an increase. Students’ interest has an increase in cycle I from 68,74% become 79,56% in cycle II from the observation sheet, whereas from the quesionnare the researcher found in cycle I from 74,46% become 87,84% in cycle II. Beside that, the subjection mean of students achievement has an increase. In pre-cycle shows 52,56 with Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum (KKM) is 17,65% consist of 6 students, in cycle I has an increase become 65,63 with KKM is 50% consist of 17 students, whereas in cycle II shows the increse become 79,41 with KKM is 76,47% consist of 26 students

Abstract

The purposes of this research is to know. 1) tendency of math anxiety, parental concern, and mathematics achievement, 2) correlation among math partially, and 3) relative contribution and effective contribution of each predictor. The subjects of this research is 112 students class 7th grade of junior high school 1 Banguntapan Bantul. Data collection techniques are questionnaires and test. The results showed that: 1) tendency of math anxiety is moderate, parental concern is high, and mathematics achievement is high, 2) there are: corelation positive among math anxiety and parental concern with mathematics achievement, corelation negative between math anxiety with mathematics achievement, and corelation positive between parental concern with mathematics achievement 3) relative contribution of math anxiety is 84,23%, relative contribution of parental concern is 15,77%, effective contribution of math anxiety and parental concern with mathematics achievement is 21,1%.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to describe the learning process of mathematics through Self Regulation Learning strategy in improving the students’ motivation and achievement on the seventh grade students of SMP Taman Dewasa Ibu Pawiyatan Yogyakarta in the academic year 2013/2014. The study was a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subject of the study was the students of  VII Aat SMP Taman Dewasa Ibu Pawiyatan Yogyakarta in the academic year 2013/2014 which consists of 28 students. The object of the study was the learning process and the result obtained from the implementation of Self Regulation Strategy. The techniques of  data collection were observation, questionnaire, test and documentation. The technique of data analysis for students’ motivation was obtained from calculating the questionnaire’s score taken from percentage on each aspect, and for the students’ achievement was obtained from calculating the avarage test score and percentage that fulfilled the KKM score. The result of the study showed that the students’ motivation and achievement could be increased through Self Regulation Learning Strategy. It was proved by the improvement of average questionnaire’s score of the students’ motivation from 59.26% in pre-cycle to 68.62% in cycle I and then 84.54% in cycle II. The learning achievement was also increased which could be seen from the average score from 61.429 in pre-cycle to 66.905 in cycle I and 79.911 in cycle II. Moreover, the students’ KKM score (70) was also increased from 35.71%  in pre-cycle to 60.71% in cycle I and 79.91 in cycle II. It was suggested that mathematics teachers could apply this effective strategy in their teaching and learning process.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the learning interest and learning outcomes in mathematics to the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 B Kalibawang Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta in Academic Year 2013/2014 using the Jigsaw cooperative learning . The subjects of this study were the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 B Kalibawang Kulon Progo Regency of Yogyakarta Academic Year 2013/2014 as many as 24 students. The object of this research is learning and mathematics learning outcomes gained from the implementation of the overall learning process learning model of Jigsaw. The results showed that after the application using cooperative learning Jigsaw SMP VIII B 2 Kalibawang Kulon Progo Regency of Yogyakarta Academic Year 2013/2014, the interest in learning and learning outcomes of mathematics were increased. This is demonstrated by the increase in the percentage of interest in learning score which was 74.10 % on average in the pre-action, while the first cycle was improved with an average percentage of 76.98 %. In the second cycle it was increased to 78.58 % . The results of students' mathematics learning were also increased. At the beginning, the test capability was 45.16 . In the first cycle , the average was increased to 54.44 . In the second cycle the average was increased to 72.06 .

Abstract

Unemployment and proverty has becomes a major problem for Indonesian people that cannot be solved yet. Unemployment and proverty are also the impact of culture, character, and quality of human resources are the focus of the education function. Curriculum based entrepreneurship is expected to be a key measure for the school in creating school graduates that were highly competitive in the job market. One of the efforts is to implement statistics (especially financial statistics) in the subjects of entrepreneurship education. In the course of financial statistics, students are equipped with knowledge about investing strategies : how to maximize profits and minimize losses. However, entrepreneurship education still focuses on the entreprenurial process or behavior in order for the students to have character of entrepreneurs.

Abstract

The study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of learning mathematics through stop approach do the students think MTs . Budi Agung Medan T.P 2013/2014 . This research is quantitative . The instrument uses observation and tests . The population in this study all students in grade VIII . RESULTS: The percentage of students overall effectiveness by 75 % , entrance to the effective criteria . For more information the t test analysis and test table = 1.99 thitung gain for the index since thitung 6.696 > t table Ha is accepted then there are differences in the average index gain experimental class and the control class known experimental class learning outcomes better than the control class , so that learning mathematics through stop think do an effective approach .
