Abstract

The purpose ofthis research was todescribe thetype of cooperativelearningmake-a-match in increasingmotivationandlearning achievementmath. This type of research isClassroom Action Research(CAR). The subjects inthis research werestudents of class VIIAof SMP Negeri15Yogyakarta, the numberof students36. The objects in this research are amathematicalmotivationandlearning achievementusingcooperative learning modelMake A-Match. Data collection techniques inthis research conductedby observation, inquirytechniques, documentation, andtest techniques. The results showed thatafter applying ofmathematics learningthroughcooperative learning modelmake-a-match, motivationandlearning achievementof mathematicshas increased. This is evidencedby an increase inthe averagepercentageof student motivationisseenfromthe results ofstudents' learningmotivation questionnaireonthe first cycle of67.03% increased to81.71% in the second cycle. In addition,students' mathematics learningachievementalso increasedfrom theinitial abilitystudentsan average valueof63.86into a72.38in the first cycleand the second cyclethe average valuebecomes78.64by80.56% KKMpercentage achieved. Thus the teacheradvised toapplycooperative learning modelmake-a-match as an alternativetoincreasestudentmotivationandlearning achievement.

Abstract

This research aims at knowing that cooperative learning model type talking stick with discovery learning appoarch is more effective than conventional learning model toward the result of mathematics subject of the students grade VIII SMP Negeri 11 Yogyakarta. This research uses Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The research has two variables. The independent variable consists of cooperative learning model type talking stick with discovery learning approach and conventional learning model, and the dependent variable is result of mathematics subject. The population was all students grade VIII in SMP N 11 Yogyakarta consisting of 136 students in 4 classes. The research sample of two classes was taken by cluster random sampling technique. Data collection technique uses pretest and posttest. The data analysis uses t-test, in which it was previously tested using pre-requisite test, namely; normality test and homogenity test, and than compares testimated  with ttable, with df = n1 + n2 -2, and α = 5%. If testimated   ttable , then Ho is refused. This means that the average gain score of experiment class is better than the average gain score of control class.Based on the result of estimated gained-score it is known that the value of testimated = 2,351, whereas ttable = 1,671. Because testimated = 2,351 > ttable = 1,671, then Ho is refused. This means that the average gain score of experiment class is better than the average gain score of control class. Therefore, it can be concluded that cooperative learning model type talking stick with discovery learning appoarch is more effective than conventional learning model toward result of math subject of the students grade VIII SMP Negeri 11 Yogyakarta.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe the type cooperative learning mind mapping in improving the interest and learning achievement math of class VIII F SMP Negeri 15 Yogyakarta. The type of this research is a classroom action research. Subject in this study were students of class VIII F SMP Negeri 15 Yogyakarta, there are 34 students. The objective of this research is the interest and learning achievement using cooperative learning in mind mapping model. The results of this research showed that after application of the learning model, the interest and learning achievement were increased. The percentage of students interest  in the first cycle in the mount of 70.18% to 80.76% in the second cycle. The students’ math learning achievement also be increased can be seen of the average percentage of the initial capabilities of students in the first cycle 63,02 to 72,73 and the second cycle of the percentage becomes 78.71. Thus, advised teachers to implement cooperative learning model of mind mapping to improve  the interest and learning achievement.

Abstract

Sheet simulation is a media that can improve student learning outcomes, increasing the active response of students, and relieve tension and tired of learning mathematics. Media is in accordance with the character of the student and student interests and habits of students. The learning process with this medium is a model of the games and discussions group involving a student with a jovial mood, learning and thinking.

Abstract

the purpose of this study was to improve interest and mathematics achievement in cooperative students of class VII SMP Sanjaya Ngawen Gunungkidul with Jigsaw. This research was Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects in this study were students of class VII which was 16 students. Research findings indicate that interest and mathematics achievement. It can be shown by an increase in the average yield percentage of student learning interest. Based on the questionnaire for each cycle, in the first cycle of student interest was 65,94% and for the second cycle was 75,31%. While the average value interpretation of students mathematics learning increased from an average initial value of the average of  64,68 up to 67,18 in the first cycle and the second cycle to 75,31

Abstract

The problem of the research is whether the effort of learning using AJEL (Active Joyfull Effective Learning) method can improve the student activity and achievement in class VII SMP N 3 Jatinom Klaten. The aim of the research is to design and apply the AJEL (Active Joyfull Effective Learning) in class VII SMP N 3 Jatinom Klaten to improve the student activity and achievement in math. The researcher did an action research through two cycles. Each cycles consist of: planning, action, observation and reflection. The technique of the data collection is through observation, questioner and test. The researcher analyze the data using test validity and reliability. The result of the research is that there is an improvement of the student activity and achievement to applying the AJEL (Active Joyfull Effective Learning) method in math.

Abstract

the purpose of this research is to improve students' motivation and learning outcomes in mathematics through cooperative learning Team Assisted Individualization (TAI ) in class VIIIC SMP Kalibawang Kulon Progo . This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles . The subjects of this study were grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Kalibawang VIIIC Kulon Progo by 23 students. Object of this study is to learn and motivation to learn mathematics. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, questionnaires, tests and documentation . The results showed that after an application using cooperative learning Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) in the class of SMP N 2 Kalibawang VIIIC Kulon Progo, motivation and learning mathematics increased student learning . This is indicated by the percentage increase in the motivation to learn an average score of 69.91 % in the pre-action , while improving on the first cycle with an average percentage of 71.77%. Increase of 77.64 % in the second cycle . The results of students' mathematics learning is also increasing. In early tests the ability of 52.71. In the first cycle, the average yield increased to 58.55. In the second cycle the average yield increased to 76.36. The results showed that motivation and learning of mathematics increases. Based on the results of the research, the math teacher can apply Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) variations in mathematical learning model.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know about students problem solving ability between students who implemented metacognitive strategy and conventional strategy,  to know about students problem solving ability between student who have high perception, medium perception dan low perception in mathematics, and to know about interaction between of strategy and perception. This research is quasy experimental. The population of this research were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Karangreja year 2014/2015. The sample of this research were 2 class which is 63 students with cluster random sampling technique. Data analysis is used descriptive analysis dan two ways Anava or F-test. The result of this research showed that: The problem solving ability of experiment class better than control class  that is ; The problem solving ability of student who have high perception is better than medium and low perception, the problem solving ability of students who have medium perception is equal with low perception  that is , and there is no interaction between of strategy and level of perception in problem solving ability  that is .

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the process of learning by methods Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) , increase interest and learning mathematics class VII C SMP Negeri 2 Kalibawang Kulon Progo. Hypothesis action in this study is through the implementation of cooperative learning approach can enhance CTL interest and learning outcomes. This research a Classroom Action Research (CAR) or Classroom Action research (CAR) conducted collaborative. The research suggests that increased student interest in each cycle by using learning methods Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) compared to interest student learning before this research. Before this action student interest is the percentage of 32 % is included in the less qualified, student interest after the first cycle was 57 % qualify as moderate, while the students' interest after the second cycle was 79 % including higher qualifications. prior research These students passively listening to the teacher but after more research students actively ask questions and discuss the students' scores increased, the first score of 55.80 , an increase in the first cycle was 68.54 and increase the second cycle was 72.0. From the above results it shows that the model of learning Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) may increase interest and student learning outcomes.
