Abstract

This study describes the identity politics strategy of legislative candidates in the local political constellation. The focus of this study is about the victory of Ade Kartika in the electoral area II with the composition of the Districts of Kertajati, Jatitujuh, Ligung and Jatiwangi. This study aims to find out more closely related to the political strategy of candidates for legislative members by using the issue of gender identity as the main capital in the legislative political constellation in 2019. The concept of identity politics is used as an analytical tool to reveal how the identity politics strategy works in winning candidates. This study used descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data analysis was performed using interview methods and relevant literature studies. As a result, this research shows that women's political strategy is based on aspects of group identity and gender ties.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to see the open selection mechanism in the government of Bantul district. Because the success of bureaucratic reform is a part of human resources within the government bureaucracy. Therefore it is necessary to have human resource management to realize a state of civil apparatus with integrity, professionalism and competence. In this study, researchers used qualitative approach methods. Where in the technique is done in-depth interviews to get information and gather other supporting documents on this research. Human resource management could be done by structuring employees through an open selection mechanism. The Government of Bantul District has conducted an open selection in structuring employees who are in their government. Because the open selection is considered a solution in the screening of the state civil apparatus. Moreover, the Bantul Government in the open selection process uses several stages including administration selection, competency tests, interviews, and paper presentations. With the existence of several stages carried out in the open selection process by the Bantul Government, it is expected to capture and create a state civil apparatus who are professional and competent in running of bureaucracy in the government. So the existence of the state civil apparatus competent then will be influenced in its performance.

Abstract

Working part-time is a way for some student to make a living. There are several jobs that usually done by students, such as shopkeeper or waiters. One of unsual jobs undertaken by students is construction worker. For IKIP Budi Utomo students from East Nusa Tenggara, part-time job as construction worker is one of their choices. There some reason for this choices, but the main reason is this work financially stable and flexible work time. Being a construction worker is a way they do as survival mechanism. A number of thing such as social capital and social network, play a role in their choice. This study uses a phenomenological qualitative apporoach to expose how survival mechanism is done by students who become construction workers. Informan in this research is IKIP Budi Utomo students from NTT who work as a construction workers. On this research, data collected by using  interview, observation, and documentation. From this research, it is known that students utilize social capital in form of netwoeks as survival mechanism for their life and tuition fees. This networks based of similarity origin that helped these students become a construction worker and survive.

Abstract

Muhammadiyah and Nahdlatul Ulama are the two largest Islamic organizations in Indonesia which have several different understandings in the implementation of worship, so people assume that the harmonization of worship between followers of these two organizations is very difficult to carry out, but it is different with Muhammadiyah and Nahdlatul Ulama members who become worshipers in At-Tawwabin Mosque, worshipers in this mosque worship together, without any debate or dispute. The purpose of this research is to find out how the harmony of worship of Muhammadiyah and Nahdlatul Ulama residents in the mosque, and what factors influence the harmonization of worship. This research is expected to be beneficial for Muhammadiyah and Nahdlatul Ulama residents in maintaining harmony in worship of fellow Muslims and can be used as a reference to avoid conflicts between Islamic religious organizations in Indonesia. The research method used is a descriptive research method with a qualitative analysis approach, through a series of observations, interviews, and taking documentation, while the research location is in the District of Tobat, Padangsidimpuan City. The results of this study conclude that the form of harmonization is as in the implementation of fard prayers, Friday prayers, Tarwih prayers, holiday prayers, and the implementation of corpse prayers. While the factors that influence it are historical factors, family / kinship factors, the influence of Dalihan Na Tolu, government support, and blind fanatic attitudes of Muhammadiyah and NU residents in the mosque.

Abstract

The Republic of Indonesia Special Region of Yogyakarta Police (Polda DIY) launched a Polisi Kita Application program as a means to provide services to the community based on real-time online. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that influence the application of e-government to the use of the Polisi Kita Application program in the Yogyakarta Regional Police in 2018. The theory used to analyze this phenomenon is the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) theory. This research uses quantitative research methods. The number of research respondents was 99 respondents who were taken using Accidental Sampling techniques and processed using SmartPLS 3.0 Software. The results of this study state that the discovery of factors that influence online-based public services using UTAUT theory is proven to have a significant influence on the use of public services. Based on the results of the analysis in finding the strength of the relationship between variables X and Y found the highest correlation coefficient results in the Behavioral Intention variable with the Ut variable. E-service (Our Police Report) is (0.920). The Police Application We get a good response from the public regarding the ease of using the Police Application. To be able to maintain and improve performance, the Yogyakarta Regional Police should add a feature to verify the user's cellphone number via SMS or email so that the level of security of the user's report is better.

Abstract

Local wisdom of the Dayak Tomun Lamandau community regarding opening agricultural land by burning is local knowledge that has been passed down from ancestors. In the activity of opening agricultural land there are rituals and customary rules that must be carried out. The rise of forest and land fires in recent years has caused negative impacts. Based on that, the government issued a policy prohibiting clearing forests and land by burning. The ban was felt by indigenous peoples in the village of Lopus where rice production to meet their daily lives fell sharply. This study aims to determine and analyze the social changes of indigenous peoples after the ban on land burning in Lopus Village, Lamandau Regency. While the research approach used is descriptive qualitative. Based on the findings in the field of social changes that occurred in Lopus Village not only because of policies that have been issued by the government but there are also other factors such as land conversion and increasing population. The inclusion of tourism is considered a form of local community survival strategy because it has an economic impact. The conclusion obtained is that until now the people of Lopus still burn land for farming but groups and land area have been restricted,  so that the fields cannot meet household needs. To survive amid the prohibition of burning land, the indigenous people of Lopus Village have developed their cultural and natural tourism. Every year foreign and local tourists visiting the village of Lopus have increased, thus affecting the economy of indigenous peoples

Abstract

This article examines the role and power of the religious leader in  spiritual education in the elderly cottage. The religious leader became a figure that has a central position in the boarding school. The central position of the religious leader, encouraging the community and elderly students to obediant on the orders and their decisions. To review this article, used a qualitative descriptive method. The process of collecting data using observations and interviews in depth. The findings of this study that the role of religious leader in spiritual education as 1) teacher in spiritual education; 2) motivators and advisers in the implementation of spiritual education; 3) Role model for elderly students. In conducting spiritual education, religious leader holds full power over the materials, methods, and timing of learning. Religious leader also has full power in influencing personality and behavior students. All the orders and decisions of the religious leader become the grip for students in daily life. Obedientet to the religious leader  is done  to avoid any, that are feared will not get blessings. The religious leader with the mastery of religious sciences and the higher levels of virtuous than the students, be able to hold the students to be better.

Abstract

The research aims to look at how to optimize the Local Revenue of the tourism sector in Semarang City. The tourism wealth owned by Semarang City should be able to compete with other cities as a tourist destination city. Other advantages are opening up employment opportunities for the community, increasing the tourism industry sector and increasing the Original Revenue of the City of Semarang. This study uses a qualitative method. Data collection techniques used are derived from primary data in the form of observations of phenomena that occur and secondary data in the form of valid documentation. Based on the results of the analysis shows that the tourist attraction in the city of Semarang can be enjoyed by tourists with a variety of destinations, both to enjoy travel (pleasure tourism), recreation (recreation tourism), culture (cultural tourism), sports (sports tourism), trade business affairs (business tourism), and convention activities (convention tourism). Participatory management is an important approach in optimizing the Local Revenue of the tourism sector in Semarang City. Besides, the application of participatory management in optimizing the Local Revenue of the tourism sector in Semarang City aims to empower local communities. Through the implementation of participatory management in optimizing the Local Revenue of the tourism sector in Semarang City, local communities can take advantage of opportunities in many aspects including managers, consumption or restaurant providers, accommodation facilities, transportation and utility souvenirs from household handicrafts. Tourism development planning is carried out by the wishes of the community or sometimes planning is made by residents.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the Merapi volcano disaster risk reduction (DRR) mainstreaming in Cangkringan District, Sleman Regency. DRR mainstreaming is urgently needed in Cangkringan District because the areas most affected by the threat of the eruption of Mount Merapi. This research adopts the design of a case study that will study and analyze DRR mainstreaming through structural and non-structural development in depth with primary data through interviews and secondary data through documentation. Data collection techniques sourced from interview data were 14 sources, namely: Sleman Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency, Sleman Regency Regional Development Planning Agency, Cangkringan District, Village Heads in Cangkringan, Cangkringan Residents, Volcano Disaster Community, Sleman Regency Land and Spatial Planning Agency , Department of Public Works, Housing, and Settlement Areas of Sleman Regency, and secondary data sourced from the documentation of the implementation of the DRR disaster-prone areas of Mount Merapi, Cangkringan District, Sleman Regency. Data analysis technique with CAQDAS (Computer-assisted Qualitataive Data, Analysis Software) namely Nvivo which is useful and effective in helping qualitative research efficiently, helping the consumption of logic and research design and providing facilities for analyzing content. Features that are used by NVIVO in the research analysis include: Create New Project, which includes data in the form of literature about the risk reduction of Mount Merapi in Cangkringan District, Import Feature which functions to enter research data in the form of interviews and documentation data, Feature node functions to classify data in the research on the coding process, the Crosstab feature obtained the results of calculations between all data that had been found regarding the Mount Merapi DRR in Cangkringan District. The study found that the implementation of spatial planning in Cangkringan District was understood by the residents of Cangkringan. Development arrangements in Cangkringan Subdistrict still found illegal development due to inadequate economic factors. The infrastructure development in Cangkringan Subdistrict was quite well implemented. The disaster preparedness schools in Cangkringan Subdistrict were evenly distributed. The training is given from both government and non-government, which is once a year in the form of disaster simulation. Counseling activities in an effort to reduce disaster risk are carried out once a year and obtain information needed by residents in the volcano prone area. Based on the results of the study concluded under the implementation of DRR in the District of Cangkringan, Sleman Regency has been carried out quite effectively and provides understanding for residents of Cangkringan in solving the financial problems of Mount Merapi and the rules about vulnerable areas, III. with a maximum due to several economic factors that are still low. The government needs to be able to increase supervision and further research can be done to find out the implementation of DRR in disaster prone areas in Cangkringan District, Sleman Regency.

Abstract

The provision of financial assistance from the State Budget (APBN) or called the Village Fund is one of the additional sources of village income in Indonesia. The funding assistance was realized by the Government Ir. Joko Widodo and Drs.Jusuf Kalla in order to implement the nawacita that is contained in the third point, namely the desire of the Indonesian government to carry out equitable development in the periphery with the concept of strengthening villages and regions in Indonesia, with the large amount of village income then needs to be utilized effectively and efficiently using funds through good management of village finances. The basic rule that forms the basis of the implementation of the village financial management policy is Government Regulation Number 43 of 2014 concerning the implementation of Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages. The process of village financial management from a series of planning activities to accountability is carried out over a period of one year as stated in the Minister of Domestic Affairs regulation No. 113 regarding village financial management. The results showed that the Batu Timbau Ulu Village in the management of village funds and the allocation of village funds was considered to be inadequate in the process of planning a number of activities to be carried out, as evidenced by a number of existing activities, almost 41.39% was used for village government administration expenses, while activities such as physical development, community empowerment and community development only get a portion of 58.61%. Furthermore, the government of Batu Timbau Ulu Village in the implementation of village financial management experienced constraints in the form of the non-liquidation of the Village Fund Allocation Budget Phase IV so that some activities were forced to not be carried out. Furthermore, the administration, reporting and accountability activities have been carried out properly.
