Abstract

Lhokseumawe a city known for its numerous coffee shops, serves as the focus of this study, which aims to develop a coffee shop recommendation system using a content-based filtering approach based on Google Maps review analysis. A total of 54 coffee shops were collected through web scraping and filtered to 32, as only these shops provided sufficient and relevant reviews according to the selected keywords. User reviews were processed through preprocessing, TF-IDF weighting, and cosine similarity to measure the alignment between user preferences and shop characteristics. A scenario-based evaluation was conducted by using keywords such as “noodles,” “parking,” “spacious,” “toilet,” and “watching together” to represent user preferences. The results show that the system generates recommendations consistent with the presence and relevance of these keywords, with shops such as AN Coffee and Arabica Kopi frequently appearing as top suggestions. Although the evaluation is limited to scenario-based testing, the system demonstrates potential in assisting users in selecting suitable coffee shops. Future work may include hybrid filtering, machine learning methods, automated keyword extraction through topic modeling, and user-based evaluation to improve recommendation quality.

Abstract

Personalizing dietary plans aligned with specific medical restrictions poses a complex challenge in healthy diet planning. This study aims to develop a diet food recommendation system using a Hybrid approach that integrates Content-Based Filtering and Collaborative Filtering. The system is designed to provide recommendations that are not only personalized to user preferences but also safe regarding medical constraints such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and allergies. The system architecture applies a weighted average strategy with a priority weighting scheme of 0.6 for Content-Based and 0.4 for Collaborative. Performance evaluation was conducted using Leave-One-Out Cross Validation on a dataset comprising 51 users, 507 food items, and 265 interaction ratings. Test results demonstrate that the Hybrid method yields more robust performance compared to single methods, achieving a Precision of 0.7418 and Recall of 0.7500. Significantly, this approach improved Recall by 8.0% compared to pure Collaborative Filtering, proving its effectiveness in mitigating data sparsity and cold-start problems. It can be concluded that the system successfully provides relevant, promising, adaptive, and clinically safe food recommendations as a diet decision support tool, although further development in data volume and variety is required for optimal results.

Abstract

Eye diseases such as refractive, implant, cataract, and other disorders can reduce the quality of life of sufferers if not diagnosed and treated properly. Limited access to medical examinations is one of the obstacles in early treatment, so an accurate and efficient technology-based decision support system is needed. This study aims to compare the performance of the Linear Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Modified Balanced Random Forest (MBRF) algorithms applied to handle class imbalance in classifying four categories of eye diseases using medical records of PIM (Prima Inti Medika) Hospital patients consisting of 2,805 data with 30 features. The research process includes preprocessing, model training, and performance evaluation using 5-Fold Cross Validation as well as testing on a test set of 20% of the data. Evaluation metrics used include accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The test results show that MBRF excels in all metrics, with an average F1-Macro cross-validation of 85.67% (3.33% higher than SVM) and a test set accuracy of 87.32% (3.21% higher). Analysis per category shows an average F1 improvement of 3.6%, with the highest improvement in the Refractive class (+5.0%). MBRF also has a 21% faster training time than Linear SVM and provides clinically relevant feature importance information. Based on these results, MBRF is recommended as the main model in a decision support system for diagnosing eye diseases on a similar dataset.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has had a significant impact on the spread of information, especially through social media. However, this convenience also brings challenges in the form of spreading fake news or hoaxes that can affect public perception and disrupt social stability. This study aims to develop an Indonesian text classification system to identify hoax news by using Word2Vec method as word representation technique and K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) algorithm as its classification method. Word2Vec is used to convert text into numerical vectors representing the semantic meaning of words, so it can be used in the classification process. Meanwhile, the KNN algorithm is used to classify text into hoax or non-hoax categories based on feature similarity. The dataset used consists of 60 Indonesian-language news stories taken from turnbackhoax.id and detik.com . The evaluation results show that the combination of Word2Vec and KNN can provide a fairly good classification performance, with an accuracy rate of 76.92%. This study shows that Word2Vec and KNN approaches are effective for hoax news identification tasks, as well as potentially being further developed in application-based fake news detection systems. This finding is expected to contribute to efforts to improve digital literacy and community empowerment in dealing with misleading information in the digital era.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of website quality in supporting digital-based public services within government institutions. The BPOM Manokwari website functions as a platform for delivering public information and services; however, its effectiveness needs to be evaluated based on user experience. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the performance of the BPOM Manokwari website by applying the WebQual 4.0 framework, which assesses website quality through three main dimensions: usability, information quality, and service interaction quality. This study employs a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 112 active users of the BPOM Manokwari website. The collected data were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method through the SmartPLS 4 software. This study tests hypotheses regarding the effects of usability, information quality, and service interaction quality on user satisfaction with the BPOM Manokwari website. The results indicate that only the service interaction quality dimension has a significant effect on user satisfaction, while usability and information quality do not show a significant impact. Therefore, it can be concluded that improving the quality of interactive services plays a crucial role in enhancing user satisfaction with the BPOM Manokwari website. The recommended improvements focus on navigation, content updates, and the strengthening of digital communication features. The practical implications of this study suggest that website administrators should prioritize enhancing digital communication features and service responsiveness, supported by continuous improvements in navigation and regular content updates.

Abstract

This article presents a research framework in cybersecurity developed through a narrative literature review and conceptual analysis. The research process involved four phases: (1) a literature search using keywords related to "research framework" and "cybersecurity" in leading scientific databases; (2) a literature analysis to identify common and specific components in the research design; (3) a synthesis of these components into a systematic research framework; and (4) an enrichment of the framework by considering the unique needs of cybersecurity research, such as ethical aspects, technical experiments, and attack simulations. The resulting research is a Cybersecurity Research Design Framework (CRDF), which comprises ten core steps: identifying the research problem, identifying gaps, formulating the problem, establishing objectives, research questions, a theoretical framework and literature review, research methodology, data collection instruments and techniques, data analysis, and explaining the significance of the research. The CRDF's uniqueness compared to typical computer science research frameworks lies in its integration of specific cybersecurity needs, such as validation through simulations, technical experiments, and consideration of privacy and ethical issues. Thus, CRDF offers not only conceptual guidance but also practical instruments that can help graduate students design more systematic, applicable, and high-quality cybersecurity research.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi digital mendukung pengembangan platform pembelajaran responsif berbasis web untuk berbagai perangkat. Studi ini bertujuan merancang sistem pembelajaran digital yang mengoptimalkan penggunaan smartphone peserta didik untuk aktivitas edukatif dan mengurangi ketergantungan pada konten non-edukatif. Metode penelitian meliputi observasi lapangan, wawancara dengan kepala sekolah dan guru, studi pustaka, serta survei pengguna. Pengembangan sistem menggunakan model air terjun melalui tahap analisis kebutuhan, desain UML, implementasi Laravel 12, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan. Validasi fungsional dilakukan dengan Black Box Testing. Platform dirancang untuk tiga kategori pengguna (peserta didik, pendidik, administrator) dengan fitur pengelolaan materi, evaluasi otomatis, manajemen tugas, gamifikasi edukatif, dan panel kontrol administratif. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan semua fungsi beroperasi sesuai spesifikasi. Evaluasi kepuasan melibatkan 14 siswa kelas VI dan 1 guru menggunakan skala Likert 5 tingkat, menghasilkan tingkat akseptabilitas 86,54% untuk siswa (kategori “Sangat Baik”) dan 77,00% untuk guru (kategori “Baik”), dengan distribusi feedback positif mencapai 94,3%. Platform telah dikembangkan dan diuji dengan antarmuka adaptif yang dapat diakses melalui smartphone dan desktop , memvalidasi efektivitas teknologi web responsif untuk implementasi e-learning di tingkat pendidikan dasar.

Abstract

The national rice harvest area was recorded at 10.05 million hectares, a decrease of 1.64% compared to the previous year. This fact indicates that the agricultural sector is still facing various challenges that need to be addressed immediately. One of these challenges comes from pest attacks that can disrupt farmers’ productivity. Therefore, this research aims to assist farmers in Indramayu Regency in monitoring and predicting the risk level of pest attacks on rice crops using the Tsukamoto Fuzzy Logic method. The main focus of this system is on three types of pests that most frequently attack, namely green leafhoppers, brown planthoppers, and stem borers. The data used is obtained from Internet of Things (IoT) devices that record environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, rainfall, and rice plant age in real time. The predicted risk levels are presented visually in the form of a pie chart showing the percentage of risk, as well as a distribution map (heatmap) based on location coordinates. This system is integrated into a mobile application so that it can be directly accessed by farmers in the field. With this system, it is expected that farmers will be more alert and take appropriate preventive measures to avoid losses caused by pest attacks.

Abstract

Home rehabilitation is a government program that aims to improve the condition of the houses of the poor or underprivileged so that they are habitable again. A habitable house is not only seen from the physical aspect of the building, but also from the aspects of security, comfort, health, and the feasibility of functioning as a place to live. The distribution of home rehabilitation assistance in Simpang Peut Village, Seunuddon District, North Aceh Regency, faces obstacles in determining the most suitable recipient objectively and measurable. Out of 25 candidate recipients, only 3 can be selected, so a fair and transparent selection method is required. This research aims to build a Decision Support System (SPK) based on the MOORA (Multi-Objective Optimization on the Basis of Ratio Analysis) method. This system uses 10 assessment criteria, namely land ownership status, house ownership status, roof condition, wall condition, floor condition, socio-economic status, income, employment, number of dependents, and the type of assistance needed. The MOORA method is applied to produce an automatic ranking based on the weight of the specified criteria. The results of the ranking are validated through verification with the village apparatus and compared with the previous manual selection results, thus ensuring the suitability of the system results with the field conditions. The research results showed that Wahyudin obtained the highest score of 0,024849, followed by Rakiyah and Mansur Taleb as recipients of assistance.

Abstract

Current data management procedures at SMK Assa'adatul Abadiyah face integrity and efficiency issues due to separate and manual processes. Academic processes, tuition payment recording, and library transactions operate independently using ledgers and Microsoft Excel, leading to data redundancy and delayed reporting. This study aims to design an integrated system connecting academic, payment, and library data to improve school management efficiency. The system was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, emphasizing iterative development and user involvement, and modeled using the Unified Modeling Language (UML). The system is web-based, built using PHP and MySQL database. Black-box testing results indicate that all system functionalities, including the report card blocking mechanism for students with outstanding administration, performed 100% according to the scenarios. The implementation of this system successfully integrates data flow between work units, thereby minimizing redundancy and accelerating the reporting process.
