The population in this study were all students in SMA Zainul Hasan Gengong Problinggo which used gadgets as many as 296 students. A large sample calculation using the formula Isaac and Michael, amount to 165 students. Sampling technique with simple random sampling and carried out in August 2017. To determine the effect of the long use of gadgets against eye fatigue is used chi-Square test. The results of this study as many as 58 respondents who long using gadgets and fatigue, 22 respondents used gadget for < 2 hours, 3 respondents used gadget 2-3 hours, 5 respondents used gadgets for >3-4 hours, 4 respondents used gadget for  > 4-6 hours, 23 respondents usedgadget for  >6-8 hours, and 1 respondents used gadget > 8 hours. then. Respondents who long used gadget and  did not experience some eye fatigue 107 respondents, 43 respondents used gadget for < 2 hours, 30 respondents used gadget 2-3 hours, 20 respondents used gadget for > 3-4 hours, 3 respondents used  gadget for > 4-6 hours, 9 respondents used gadget for >6-8 hours, and 2 respondents used gadget > 8 hours. Chi-Square result is taken data P value < 0,00 with  α significance 0,05 so it takes conlusion H1 received if P value <0,05 it means there is an effect of long time usage of gadget against eye fatigue in SMA 1 Zainul Hasan Genggong Probolinggo. Technological innovation is made in the purpose in order to simplify all human affairs hence from the human unknowingly also exposed negative impact of the use of gadgets one of them is eyestrain.

This study aims to study the incidence of malaria cases and the effect of community efforts on malaria vectors density. This research is cross sectional and using systematic random sampling method. Respondents were 92 samples in endemic and non-endemic villages. The variables of this research were vector density as bound variable, while mosquito repellent, mosquito breeding sites cleaning, spray mosquito coil as independent variable and analyzed using regression logistic test. The results of this study showed that the use of mosquito repellents (p = 0.077), OR = 2,304 (95% Cl 0,913-5,015), mosquito breeding site cleaning (p = 0,028) OR = 2,741 (95% Cl 1,117-6,724), spray mosquito repellent (p = 0,006), OR = 3,799 (95% Cl 1,458-9,899). While for the vector density of Labuhan Lombok village belong to high category (2.03) and for Pohgading village included in low category (0,50). Health education activities about malaria disease still need to be improved, to avoid mosquito bites should be understood how to control the mosquito, so mosquito density can be reduced. It is expected that the community participates in the prevention of malaria in their area.  Keywords: Malaria, mosquito, vector density

Abstract

Asthma caused dyspnea because bronchospasme. Expiration rate and inspiration volume decrease, it will reduce pulmonary vital capacity. Asthma patient need exercise to improve pulmonary vital capacity. The exercise will strengthen and endurance respiratory muscles that can increase activity tolerance. The objective of the study was to know the effect of respiratory muscle stretching toward pulmonary vital capacity of asthma patient. These study used quantitative study with quasy experiment by using randomized pretest posttest design. Intervention group used respiratory muscle stretching and control group used deep breathing exercise. The sample was 15 respondents for intervention group and 15 respondents for control group. The instruments were spirometry and observation sheet. Data analysis used T paired test where T test was 0.005 for intervention group and 0.000 for control group  by hypothesis test with α 0.05. The mean difference between two groups used Mann Whitney test, where T test was 0.001.
