Abstract

Fintech or Financial Technology is an innovation that comes from digitizing management in the financial sector. Fintech is popularly used by millennials as a cash payment replacement tool. The purposes of this research are to determine and analyze the effect of promotional strategies used on brand loyalty. The respondents of this research were 140 millennial's mobile payment users, specifically OVO, LinkAja, and Gopay which were randomly selected by using the proportional random sampling method. The data collection techniques used literature study and field study. It will be analyzed by using multiple regression methods. The results of the research have demonstrated that the promotion strategy affects positively and significantly toward brand loyalty of mobile payment OVO, Gopay, and LinkAja.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of the role of happiness at work in improving employee performance in the head office of BKKBN, both directly and indirectly. The approach of research uses quantitative methods. Primary data were collected by distributing questionnaires. Analysis of data processed by descriptive analysis and inferential analysis using the Structural Equation Model through SmartPLS software to 200 respondents data. The results showed that happiness at work had not directly effect employee performance, but when the relationship was mediated by work motivation there was a positive and significant effect between happiness at work on employee performance.

Abstract

Islam places great importance on moral, environmental and social dimension. Sustainable development is centric to the overlapping factors both Islamic finance and Socially Responsible Investment, which are the economy, the environment and social impact. In contrary, Empirical evidence concerning ESG practice of IFIs and Sharia compliant companies is still lacking. The investment portfolio should therefore be scrutinized on the criteria of justice, social welfare and sustainability. This paper aims to identify sustainability report of Sharia Stocks companies and propose i-ESG index for sharia stocks screening in Indonesia. A qualitative study is used to describe sustainability action doing by Sharia compliant companies listed on Indeks Saham Syariah Indonesia (ISSI) in October 2019. This study found that, almost all the companies shows their Good Corporate Governance, but only a few of company have their sustainability report. Therefore a novel parameter to screen the sharia stocks screening process is urgently needed.

Abstract

The main purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship between innovation strategy and Total Quality Management in improving business performance. The object study of this research is pharmaceutical Industries in Indonesia. This research reveals the proper innovation strategy execution and effective implementation of Total Quality Management in business performance improvement. In this context, data collected from 168 managers at 42 firms operating in pharmaceutical industry in Indonesia were analyzed. The partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) method is used to test the hypotheses both of reflective and formative construct with second order/higher order construct in our model of study. The findings support the hypothesis that there is a positive and significant effect of innovation strategy and Total Quality Management on improving business performance of the company. The result of this research will have strategic implications for the company and expect to be used as feedback related to the execution of their innovation strategies and TQM implementation promptly to improve their business performance.

Abstract

Financial literacy is very important because it is needed for financial planning so that people can manage their finances more optimally. However, according to the FSA, Indonesia has a low level of financial literacy, so there is a need for research on differences in financial planning in Pesantren Luhur Malang which obtain financial literacy studies from Kitab Kuning and halaqah (a seminar of scientific study) with financial planning in Pesantren Al-Barakah Malang which gain financial literacy from Kitab Kuning only. This study aims to determine the effect of financial literacy on the financial planning of students of Pesantren Luhur Malang and students of Pesantren Al-Barakah Malang, as well as differences in financial literacy and financial planning between students Pesantren Luhur Malang and students of Pesantren Al-Barakah Malang. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach, with two variables financial literacy and financial planning, using simple linear regression analysis and independent-sample t-test. Sampling using purposive sampling with a total sample of 52 students consisting of 26 students of Pesantren Luhur Malang and 26 students of Pesantren Al-Barakah Malang. Based on data analysis, are known that (1) financial literacy has an effect on financial planning in students of Pesantren Luhur Malang and students  Pesantren Al-Barakah Malang (2) there is a  difference between the financial literacy of students of Pesantren Luhur Malang and students of Pesantren Al-Barakah Malang. (3) there are differences in the financial planning of students  Pesantren Luhur Malang and students  Pesantren Al-Barakah Malang.

Abstract

This study aims to contribute to the development of a village fund management model in South Sulawesi. To achieve the research objectives, data collection was carried out by collecting secondary data and conducting follow-up interviews in sample villages in South Sulawesi. The analysis data that used was the descriptive qualitative analysis. The results showed that the stages in managing village funds in several villages in South Sulawesi Province had generally been carried out well. However, several obstacles are still faced by implementers in the village. Communication is one of them. Another factor that has the potential to become an obstacle in implementing the stages of village fund management is Competence. Based on the results of interviews with research informants, it was found that the backgrounds of village fund managers were mostly not in accordance with the fields that had to be handled. This in turn has an impact on the performance of the village fund managers.

Abstract

Technology changes make the organization forced to be flexible and quickly adapt to the fickle innovation and environment. Learning and creativity are the things that can support the realization of innovation. This study aims to determine the influences of organizational learning capability and organizational creativity on organizational innovation at PT XYZ through the individual perception. This research uses quantitative methods with data collection through surveys distributed by questionnaire and uses total sampling with 101 employees. To find out the relationship between variables, this study uses multiple regression analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between organizational learning capability and organizational creativity on organizational innovation at PT XYZ.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the reasons why conventional bank customers have not yet shifted to Islamic (sharia) banking in South Sulawesi, as well as identify the obstacles that have caused customers to remain conventional banks. The research subjects numbered 110 people. The research method uses Mixed Methods with sequential exploratory design. The first stage is a qualitative method to obtain data that is variable because the community has not yet switched to sharia banking. The second stage of the quantitative method is using Factor Analysis, to deepen the data and test the data so that the findings can be generalized. Data were collected by open and closed questionnaires and interviews, validity and reliability tests were carried out based on the analysis model used. The results of the analysis show that the factors that constrain people to move to Sharia banking are Fee Interest Factor, Information Factor, Location Factor, Relationship and Reputation Factor, Religiosity Factors, Product Factor, and Financial Risk Cost Factor. There are four findings of new factors as novelty of this study, namely Fee Interest Factors, Location Factors, Religiousity Factors, and Product Factors, as barriers to switch for the service industry, especially Sharia banking.

Abstract

This research aimed to find out direct effect of the internal control entities to determining the high of audit fee, and indirect effect of the internal control entities to determining the high of audit fee through the extensive of auditor’s occupation. Data collection in this research used questionnaire which distributed to auditors who working in public accounting in Makassar. Analysis of the data used path analysis. The results of this research provided evidance that the internal control entities (X) had a significant direct effect to determining the high of audit fee (Y), and the internal control intities (X) had a significant indirect effect through the extensive of auditors’ occupation (M) to determining the high of audit fee (Y). The implication is if internal control entities is ineffective, it will be effect the larger of the extensive of auditor’s, so it will be also effect to the highest of amount in determining audit fee.

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) is taking role as the backbone for sustained economic growth, particularly in developing countries. However, SMEs might not easily get the financing from the banking institution due to the lack of financial history and collateral. Islamic crowdfunding has become a solution to deliver accessible financial services to the unbanked SMEs in the countries, especially in Indonesia. Islamic crowdfunding impacts the SMEs in regard to the ease of obtaining capital access, improving the welfare of SMEs, and creating growth for the national economy in the long-term. By using literature review, this study aims to show how the Islamic crowdfunding develops and how it affects the SMEs in Indonesia. The result shows that Islamic crowdfunding potentially benefits the SMEs in capital access, improving the welfare and economic growth.
