Abstract

This study aims to determine the design of SMK curriculum development in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. This study uses a qualitative research type method, namely the Literature Study. Data collection is sourced from several theories obtained from secondary data, namely journal articles, the internet, and books. The results of the literature study show that in the design of vocational curriculum development in the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0, it is necessary to form a monitoring and evaluation team, be literate in technology, use learning designs, and improve 21st-century skills such as critical thinking and problem-solving; communication and collaboration; creativity and innovation; and engagement with industry partners.

Abstract

This research study aims to improve students’ performance in the Fluid mechanics course through active learning methods. The method for this research was conducted on a longitudinal study design. It takes about four-month interventions in teaching the course by using active learning methodologies following with tutorials. The study population number and the target groups were also identified by the guidance and support given by the Jimma University Institute of Technology registrar. Before handling the research, all the essential conditions were done such as giving orientation, fixing the duration of the study, and rearrangement of the program according to the interest of most of the students. The sampling technique used was availability sampling. The sample size was included for year II both female and male students of Fluid mechanics course students in the second semester of 2019. After this secondary data was collected from the Jimma University Institute of Technology registrar office and questionnaires collected from the second-year students; reached with the problem of the nature of the course. Therefore, we conclude that the study output indicates that the percentage of passed students increased from 66.92% to 91.82% after active learning methodology training had given for instructors in addition to delivering on spot tutorial. The group study recommends that active leaning methodology can improve the performance of the students and the school should have to emphasize this methodology in addition to monitoring and appreciating on spot tutorial.

Abstract

The infringing behaviour of students is defined as a set of undesired and objectionable behaviour that hampers the flow of teaching-learning activities inside the classroom. The student's problematic behaviour is something related to the student's disposition and temperament. This research intends to investigate how university teachers perceive student’s misbehaviour and throws light on the underlying causes behind these undesired behavioural traits. This research is based on a descriptive survey. In this research, 50 teachers teaching undergraduate students in various departments of King Khalid University have participated. The authors have collected the data manually by filling two sets of a questionnaire. The result of the study shows: what are some common inappropriate behaviour that a teacher encounters, and why a student displays various types of misbehaviours? The findings of this study will help to develop the establishment of a well-managed classroom.

Abstract

Online collaborative learning is learning that focuses on group cohesiveness with the success of the process. The inspiration that drives this assessment is to investigate the impact of the use of online collaborative learning on students' ability to write descriptive texts. it's done in MTS. BUSTANUL ULUM in the second class of juniors to find out whether online collaborative learning is effective learning, researchers used pre-experimental methods where information was calculated using the statistical formula of the T-test. the consequence of exploration was that the mean of the pre-test was 60.4063, and the mean of the post-test was 84.4688. From the questionnaire, there were students who agreed with the online collaborative learning method that had helped them in writing descriptive text. It can be concluded that student achievement increases when they are educated by collaborative learning online.

Abstract

The background of this research is important of vocabularyt in leaarning English. But students still difficult to adding and memorizing the vocabulary. So, to help students for learning it, the researcher develop platformer game with combination material of tenth grade students and have the result Superlary Game. To develop this media, researcher used the Sugiyono development model. This development aims to give the media to learn English vocabulary in order to increase motivate to learn English of tenth grade students of senior high school. Based on the Sugiyono model, researcher only use eight from ten steps, namely potential and problem, data collection, design product, design validation, design revision, product trial, product evaluation and final product. English Learning media produced in the form of computer-based game application used programer conctruct 2, which contains the second semester vocabulary material for class X SMA / MA students. This media completed with guiding book of how to play the game. The student’s response for this game have the result large scale trials obtaining total score are 816 from criterion score 960, percentage of students’ response are 85% this valued include in 80 < x < 100% in criterion score. So it can be concluded that the learning media developed is very good for use in learning classes in class X SMA / MA on second semester vocabulary material.

Abstract

This study discusses the role of parents in highlighting children's learning motivation in grade II-A Arabic language learning at MI Kunuzun Naja Wonotengah. The reason researchers discussed this problem was because of the lack of parental control at home towards children's learning activities. In fact, parents are assets that play a big and important role in improving children's knowledge. The interests, talents, abilities, and potentials of children as learners will not develop optimally without the help of parents. This type of research is qualitative. The study was conducted in grade II-A with subjects of 6 students and 6 parents. Without motivation one's efforts will not be able to achieve good results, as well as in terms of learning. Learning will be better if it is always accompanied by motivation. Methods used by parents in motivating children in research in the form of: (1) Gift giving (2) Giving praise and (3) Sanctions (punishment). This study aims: (1) To find out the parents in improving children's learning motivation in grade II-A Arabic language learning at MI Kunuzun Naja Wonotengah Purwoasri. (2) To know the method of parents in providing motivation to their children. The results of this study are showing the role of parents in improving their child's learning motivation and what methods are used to increase their child's motivation.

Abstract

Efforts to build character in accordance with the culture of this nation are not only carried out through a series of teaching and learning activities in schools, but also through habituation in life. Such as religious, honest, disciplined, responsibility and so forth. In reality many students have extensive knowledge of science and technology but do not have soft skills in them. As a result students are only good at memorization and gain little skill when entering society. In realizing education in accordance with the ideals of the nation, the implementation of character education in schools is very necessary because the school is a forum in shaping the character of students. This study aims to (1) Describe the implementation (2) Describe supporting factors and inhibition factors of character education implementation through religious culture in developing the soft skills of students at SD Ar Rahman Kertosono. This research uses descriptive qualitative method approach. Data sources obtained through interviews, observations and documentation. In analyzing data researchers reduce data or summarize the main data, clarify and conclude the data obtained. This research uses source triangulation by conducting interviews with informants and then re-examine the data received by conducting interviews with other informants. The results showed that the implementation of character education at SD Ar Rahman Kertosono is through religious culture in accordance with the values of character education and mission vision of SD Ar Rahman. In addition, SD Ar Rahman also has a special program that contains assessments of students' non-academic activities. In the implementation of character education, students are always monitored and supervised by teachers and parents through performance books or connecting books. There are several supporting factors and factors inhibiting the implementation of character education through religious culture in developing students' soft skills including from the school, parents, students and external factors. The application of character education at SD Ar Rahman Kertosono has a very significant impact on students because students will unwittingly get used to doing positive things and applying them in daily life both in home life, school and society at large..

Abstract

Education aims to shape attitudes and behaviors towards civilized human beings. An education system that only emphasizes the transfer of knowledge, makes education no longer meaningful and has a positive effect on learners. It is less touching on the humanism side that ultimately develops pluralism as the foundation of multiculturalism. This model of religious education will only create learners to make "abdullah" that is only pious individually. The understanding of pluralism and multiculturalism that has become a commodity in the political field will continue to roll in the realm of national education, including Islamic religious education which is integrally part of the national education system. The purpose of this research is to illustrate the implementation and implications of multicultural-based PAI at SMA Kertosono. This research uses qualitative approach with case study type. The results showed that the implementation of multicultural-minded Islamic religious education (PAI) at SMA Negeri Kertosono,was carried out through 2 stages, namely: a) Learning activities in the classroom, through: (1) Morning prayer together; (2) To give all students the opportunity to receive religious lessons according to their beliefs; (3) Be universal and discriminate against students; (4) Giving accuracy; (5) Uphold respect and respect; b)Implementation of multicultural-minded PAI in school activities outside the classroom, through: a) Religious extracurricular activities carried out during islamic activities and commemorations, as well as Friday prayers and Femininity; b) Activities of a social nature. 2) The impact of the implementation of Islamic religious education (PAI) multicultural-minded in building religious tolerance in SMA Negeri Kertosono, among others: a) The creation of a comfortable and conducive learning atmosphere; b) School activities run smoothly and have a high tolerance ;c) The realization of religious harmony and harmony in differences; d) Avoid conflict and division; e) The creation of a culture of mutual respect, respect and accepting of differences

Abstract

The SDGs have the main principle, namely that they are universally applicable, with the development target applicable to all underdeveloped, developing, and developed areas, as well as every citizen. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the field of education are related to the quality of good education with the substance of ensuring the distribution of quality education and increasing learning opportunities for all, ensuring inclusive and equitable education, and encouraging lifelong learning opportunities for all. Quality education, in accordance with the mandate in the law, is more emphasized in character building. This article is a conceptual overview of finding a character education model that is accessible to all levels of society and provides lifelong learning opportunities for all. In looking for answers to these objectives, the author uses a qualitative approach by analyzing the literature related to existing problems. The results obtained from this study are in the form of a religious culture-based education model. There are at least five religious cultures that can be applied, namely; (1) TSP (Tahan dari buang sampah sembarangan, Simpan sampah pada tempatnya, Pungut sampah insya Allah sedekah); (2) BEBASKOMIBA (BE-berantakan-rapikan; BAS-basah-keringkan; KO-kotor-bersihkan; MI-miring-luruskan; BA-bahaya-amankan); (3) 3M (Mulai dari diri sendiri; Mulai dari hal yang kecil; Mulai saat ini); (4) 5K (Kerja keras; Kerja cerdas; Kerja mawas; Kerja tuntas; Kerka ikhlas); dan (5) 7B (Beribadah dengan baik, benar, dan istiqomah; Berakhlak baik; Belajar tekun tiada henti; Bekerja keras, cerdas, dan ikhlas; Bersahaja dalam hidup; Bantu sesama; Bersihkan hati selalu).
