Abstract

Natural Science is a science that requires a scientific attitude, understanding of concepts and experimental skills. However, in its implementation in the field of education, there are still a lot of scores that do not reach the minimum criteria due to a lack of understanding of students' concepts and approaches that are still traditional. Therefore, in accordance with the capabilities of the 21st century, this study purposes to develop a game based media from Scratch that can be used by teachers and students in science learning material changes in the shape of objects. This research uses a method by applying Research and Development whose main purpose is to develop new products or improve existing products. The results of this study shows that the development of media based on the Scratch game can be developed by a teacher and can be used in learning with students. The results of testing the learning media that have been made on the display design aspect show a percentage of 93% which means it is very proper, the substance aspect of the material shows a percentage of 89% which means it is proper, and the respondent's response to the program shows a percentage of 83% which means it is proper.

Abstract

This study is based on Permendikbud No. 65 of 2013, which mandates that students learn in accordance with 12 learning principles. As a result, educators must be adept at utilizing a variety of strategies to meet students' learning goals. Consequently, the purpose of this study is to assist teachers in utilizing a method that is in line with the curriculum, one of which is a problem-based learning method, in order to help students develop their critical thinking skills. So, in this study, problem-based learning, or a strategy that presents challenges connected to daily life in real terms, is used in the teaching materials created, namely E-Handout. To improve student motivation and learning results, interactive digital teaching resources have been developed. The study methodology employed is called ADDIE, which stands for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Analysis includes curriculum analysis, material analysis, and student analysis. Design includes handout design and material design, The systematics of Electronic Handout teaching materials are cover or title of the handout, KI/KD, learning objectives, concept maps, material and videos, exercises and quizzes, and bibliography.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the positive effect of using the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) model on the learning outcomes of problem-solving math story problems for second-grade students of SDN 03 Pelang. The lack of students understanding of the issue of the story problems and imagining the problems in story questions is not optimal. The RME model will provide students with authentic experiences and opportunities to construct mathematical knowledge. The type of research conducted is experimental research. The design used in this study is quasi-experimental in the form of a nonequivalent control group design. The subjects in this study were second-grade students of SDN 03 Pelang. The data collection technique in this research is in the form of a test (description). While the data analysis techniques include analysis of instrument trials, prerequisite tests, and hypothesis testing. The results showed a significant effect of the RME learning model on the problem-solving ability of students' story problems between the experimental and control groups. So, the RME makes students actively participate in learning so that students' problem-solving skills are achieved optimally.
