This paper discusses the students' perceptions of the political parties participating in the communication process of the 2014 elections in terms of political communicator, messages, channels or media, targets , and the effects of political communication. Based on students' perceptions of the five factors of political communication process it is found that a very good political communicator is from the Golkar Party, namely 28.6% of respondents, very good political message of the Democratic Party 31.0%, or excellent media channel of political party of NasDem 26.2%, the excellent political targets of NasDem Party 19.0%, and the very good effects of political communication from Hanura 16.7%. This article suggests the need for improving socialization of political parties including the five factors of political communication process, so that the party eletability level will be better and the level of community abstentions can be pressed or lowerer

The phenomenon of 2018 regional elections can be seen in the selection of candidate pairs, party coalitions, and the delivery of political messages conveyed by political parties and candidate pairs, which have given birth to a variety of maneuvers, rivalries in the formulation of political strategies to support or subdue each other. This communication constellation has shaped the dynamics of Pilkada political communication in Indonesia. Of the 171 regions that held elections, 16 of them had a single candidate whose average candidate pair was supported by 6 to 12 political parties. The phenomenon of mutually changing pairs of candidates or revoking support has become a public concern in the elections. This can be caused by unfulfilled supporting requirements, lobbying from other parties, low electability, legal cases, and political dowry. The role of the mass media in Pilkada is very good, because the mass media has become an independent and transparent party, the news related to the Pilkada is published based on facts and data, it does not appear that mass media "fry" the issues so that the condition of the community is more conducive and the elections run safely.

The focus of this research are: (1) the forms of Banjarese beliefs in terms of: a) menyanggar banua ritual, b) membuang pesilih ritual, and c) feeding ceremonies (sasajen) to the supernatural, and (2) criticism of Shaykh Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjari against the Banjarese beliefs. As social beings, each individual will always interact with others. Dakwah is one form of social interaction. It required the ability to understand, respond, get to know other people and convey the desired message and purpose. Interpersonal skills are basic skills that should be owned by individuals so that interactions can go smoothly, including the implementation of dakwah. Interpersonal skills help preachers to understand and respect other people, which in turn can lead to success in the implementation of persuasive dakwah. This paper specifically explores the importance of interpersonal skills for a preacher in the implementation of persuasive dakwah.Sebagai makhluk sosial, setiap individu akan senantiasa berinteraksi dengan individu lainnya. Dakwah merupakan salah satu bentuk kegiatan interaksi sosial. Untuk itu diperlukan kemampuan memahami, merespon, mengenal orang lain dan menyampaikan pesan dan maksud yang diinginkan. Interpersonal skill merupakan keterampilan dasar yang harus dimiliki individu agar interaksi dapat berjalan lancar, termasuk dalam pelaksanaan dakwah. Keterampilan interpersonal membantu da’i dalam memahami dan menghargai orang lain, yang pada akhirnya dapat membawa kesuksesan dalam pelaksanaan dakwah persuasif. Tulisan ini secara khusus mengupas tentang pentingnya interpersonal skill bagi seorang da’i dalam pelaksanaan dakwah persuasif.

Hukum Islam dalam wacana kajian usul al-fiqh menempatkan Alquran, sunnah rasul, ijma dan qiyas sebagai sumber standar. Namun dalam aplikasi dan perkembangannya ditemukan aneka ragam sumber dalam konsep maupun formulasinya.Keragaman tersebut bukan hanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor adanya mazhab-mazhab fikih, tetapi juga merupakan suatu keniscayaan dari perwujudan salah maqasid al-Syari’at.Guna merespon keragaman itulah diperlukan sumber hukum “eksternal” sebagai metodologi alternative dalam menghadapi perkembangan global.

Mass media have a strong influence in creating the image of characters. The actions and behavior of Osama (Usama) as the leader of al Qaeda also not immune from the attention of the media. When he was killed by the military elite of Obama, the events are the news headlines in a number of international and national media. Two major newspapers in Indonesia also took a moment to compose how media policy is. Through study groups, the authors traced the creation of the meaning behind the choices of topics taken by two media sources through its affiliates. Republika chooses headlines representing subjectivity Islamic-leaning newspaper, giving sympathy and empathy on the issue of Islamic societies in the middle east, whereas Kompas prefers describing the greatness and success of the United States crippled Osama, while putting out the issue to the world's terrorists locality Indonesia.

The values of Islam in society are very important. Moreover, the highly complex challenges of our time. Internalization of Islamic values does not just rely on family or school environment. However, it should also involve the media. Because the media have been criticised as a factor in the destruction of the morality and ethics of society rather than enlightening the nation. The negative effects of accessing media are more dominant than the positive ones. Media managers should have the awareness to build and preserve the moral values of the nation. For that, the media is expected to have a formula in shaping and planting of Islamic values to the minds of the audience. The media should be able to transform itself into a form of locomotive movement in internalization of Islamic teachings, because the majority of media audiences are Muslims. Through Islamic media, it is expected to create social structures that have Islamic mindset and behavior in daily life

Baayun Maulud is a traditional form of communication in society Banua Halat Tapin district. Formerly from the culture of religious people Keharingan is called the Baayun Children. Then, through a process of Islamization by religious leaders, Now Baayun Children called Baayun Maulud. The purpose of this research was determine and describe the meaning which is contained of Baayun Maulud society Banua Halat Tapin district. The research approach used in this study was qualitative approach, with etnography of communication as the method and descriptive as the type. The data were obtained from observation, interview and documentation. The result of this study showed that Baayun Maulud in Banua Halat society implies the goodness in living a wide variety of life. Baayun Maulud also interpreted as a form of gratitude to the God, nowaday Baayun Maulud not only for childrens but various circle, expecially parents who have nazar. Aside from being nazar Baayun Maulud in Banua Halat society also used as a medium to tighten silaturrahmi.

There is a statement that we are experiencing a crisis of leadership that led to the crisis of confidence, both to certain institutions and individuals. It leads to a moral decadence and degradation. Social reality proves the number of murders in cold blood, caused by trivial issues or because they do not want to be responsible for their amoral behavior. These events involve Muslims as the majority of people in this country, both as victims even as the culprit. This is a challenge to dakwah, which makes preachers as a central point. Therefore, this article is presented to provide an overview of the role of preachers in making their daily lives as role models for the surrounding community in which they talk or interact. In Islamic term, it is called Uswah hasanah.Ada pernyataan bahwa kita mengalami krisis kepemimpinan yang membawa pada krisis kepercayaan, baik terhadap lembaga tertentu maupun perorangan. Muaranya adalah dekadensi dan degradasi moral. Realitas sosial membuktikan banyaknya terjadi pembunuhan dengan sadis, yang disebabkan persoalan sepele atau karena tidak mau bertanggung jawab atas prilaku a moral mereka. Eronisnya kejadiankejadian tersebut banyak melibatkan umat Islam sebagai umat mayoritas di negara ini, baik sebagai korban bahkan sebagai pelakunya. Hal ini menjadi tantangan dakwah Islamiyah, yang menjadikan Da’i sebagai titik sentralnya. Oleh karena ini tulisan ini dihadirkan untuk memberikan gambaran tentang peran da’i dalam menjadikan kehidupan kesehariannya sebagai contoh teladan bagi masyarakat sekitarnya dimana dia menyampaikan atau berinteraksi. Dalam term agama disebut Uswah hasanah.
