Abstract

With the issuance of PP No. 19 In 2005, Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) has become an necessity for an higher education institution that aims to achieve continuous improvement. Most colleges including Universitas Atma Jaya Makassar has implemented a model of management and control system for academic process by relying on the outcome of process, not the concurrent of the process itself. In order to achieve continuous improvement, the quality assurance system needs a control system that not only rely on the outcome but more important is the implementation the process itself. This research aims to develop a prototype model of management and control system of academic process that focuses on the monitoring and evaluating function of the academic process, especially the academic process which runs at the University of Atma Jaya Makassar. This research uses UML methodology based on object-oriented approach to take advantage on computer networks as the supporting technology. The prototype model of the resulting system will help facilitate the implementation and quality assurance of academic process through increased control and evaluation function in a structured academic process and in real time.

Abstract

Utilization of electrical energy in a building direct impact on carbon emissions. One of them in commercial buildings such as campus, industry and banking. Therefore, it needs building management systems by monitoring electrical quantities. This research aims to build a data acquisition system of electrical quantities in commercial buildings. Real time data acquisition by using the Modbus TCP protocol as a communication media between the RTU and MTU integrated with SCADA. LabView is a software that acts as a software tool to visualize data acquisition. The results is the utilization of the electrical energy of the building can be monitored so that its use more efficient.

Abstract

The design of an interface model is expected to contribute in creating a system that improves effective and efficient IT Governance. Hospital as a public facility in health field requires an interface system to communicate to stakeholders. Services performance evaluation interface model is one of the fundamental requirements for strategic development of IT Governance in the future. The presence of current cloud computing technology is a solution in supporting operations in the hospital. The challenge is how hospitals can adopt these technologies. An effective strategy derives from services performance evaluation results so that the use of technology can create efficient IT Governance in terms of financial. Mapping business alignment with IT strategy needs to be done especially in the selection of cloud-based service provider outsource. The method used to adopt cloud computing architecture was referenced to one of the IT Governance international standards which is TOGAF ADM. System architecture models include interface design, infrastructure management, classification, definition, and connectivity design. The main components include business architecture, information (data), application, and technology.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop the image search system using content-based retrieval approach by applying algorithm to extract low-level feature from images. Low-level information that is used to extract image features in the image retrieval system is color information contained in the image. Composition of color pixels in an image can be represented in a color histogram. The degree of similarity between the image colors is determined based on the distance between the histogram using Laplace distance and Euclidean distance. The smaller the distance between the histogram, the higher the percentage of similarity of an image. Results of image retrieval through the database will be displayed according to the query by example method performed by a user, based on the sequence of images that have a higher percentage of similarity. The test results for images with a maximum size of 150 x 150 pixels get fairly accurate results with percentages of similarity is above 60 percent.

Abstract

The TSP problem can resolved using Genetic Algorithms. In other previous research, crossover is one process that can be eliminated from the genetic algorithm to get betternoptimization. This research tried to solve TSP by using genetic algorithms without using the crossover. To improve optimization by applying the method of mutation with 2 phases. Mutation operator used the inversion mutation, exchange mutation, and insertion mutation. The results using these methods is the average error percentage of optimum distance <10%.

Abstract

Journalism-based application developmont of local content for the general public as a venue to accommadate to need to upload location-related news events around the domicile. Shortage on the utilization of the IP address as determining the location of visitor in determining the news obtained the reason the development of this application. The result of this research is application based journalism development local content has implemented the use of the geolocation of users on online journalism application uses the GPS feature. Geolocation data has been integrated into the structure of the application service journalism. GPS provides the coordinates of the location of the visitor so that the data can be displayed news about the location of website visitor

Abstract

Many entrepreneurs failed in his attempt because it does not prepare or do not know whether the effort is worth it or not to run. This leads to a lot of people are reluctant to invest capital in entrepreneurship because of fear for businesses that are not feasible or are not profitable.The result of this research is a decision support system using PROMETHEE to assess the feasibility of a new venture. This research is not just help to assess the feasibility of new businesses but also help in the making of business plan and projected financial statement of new venture.

Abstract

This research focuses on the application of fuzzy analysis on the process of retrieving tahani case-based reasoning in the search for restaurant. The design of this study using SDLC (System Development Life Cycle). Cases data of search restaurant totaling 50 cases obtained from the distribution of the questionnaire. The data is divided into 40 cases for the base case and 10 cases for testing. The results showed that the respondents thought the suitability of the recommendation given CBR system much as 60% CBRFuzzy and 53% according to the respondents wanted.

Abstract

This research focuses on designing lectures support system in the form of Learning Management System (LMS) at Atma Jaya Makassar University. The use of information system at Atma Jaya Makassar University is limited to support academic administration activities and still not support learning activities. This is due to the lack of information system provided by Atma Jaya Makassar University that can support the lectures at Atma Jaya Makassar University, especially self-directed learning based on Student Centered Learning (SCL). This research aims to design a system that is able to assist lecturer to provide learning materials, as well as support evaluation of students’s self directed learning. System development method used in this research is spiral method. The results of this research are indicate that the system is able to support self-directed learning of the learning process in UAJM as well as 80% of students found the system easy to understand and use.

Abstract

This research will discuss the Company’s Performance Measurement Information System with the Method of the People Capability Maturity Model (Case Study at PT Kepuh Kencana Arum Makassar) is a system that can help the company tp conduct performance measurement in order to be a reference, in particular inter-company competition. By using people capability maturity model (P-CMM), then the system can measure the performance of companies using measurements of methods people capability maturity model (P-CMM). This study yield performance of each Division in the Billowing Kencana PT Arum Makassar in the result there are 2 divisions are at level 2 are junior operators and junior helper and also 2 divisions at level 3 that senior senior operator and helper.
