Abstract

The prevalence of metabolic syndrome in the world continues to increase every year. Various studies have been conducted to investigate the impacts of metabolic syndrome. Most studies prove that metabolic syndrome is associated with increased risk of progressive decrease in kidney function and developing chronic kidney disease in the future. The aim of this literature review is to analyze the relationship and pathophysiological mechanisms between metabolic syndrome and chronic kidney disease. The result of this review shows there is a significant relationship between metabolic syndrome and chronic kidney disease. The presence of metabolic syndrome increases the risk of developing chronic kidney disease in the future, quicken the decline of kidney function, and increases risk of mortality. Metabolic syndrome triggers excessive production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and activation of RAAS (renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system) that causes chronic kidney disease. To prevent the incidence of chronic kidney disease in the future, it is necessary to do prevention such as control healthy diet and lifestyle so we do not suffer metabolic syndrome. In addition, it is important to control the components of metabolic syndrome suffered along with improving diet and lifestyle to prevent severity of metabolic syndrome.

Abstract

The widespread news coverage of an assault case committed by Mario Dandy against the victim David has attracted public attention. This news has elicited various responses from the public towards the behavior of the son of the director general of taxes Rafael Alun Trisambodo, so many media outlets have reported this case from different perspectives. This study aims to find out the news framing (framing) about David's assault on Detik.com. This study uses a qualitative approach with Robert N. Entman's framing analysis method. With this method, the researcher found that Detik.com focused more on the motive and chronology of the assault, background, and identity of the perpetrator and victim. In addition, Detik.com is suspected of giving special treatment to AG or Agnes by disguising her identity and showing a child legal justice system that is unfair and ineffective. Furthermore, Media Detik.com reported the violence experienced by David as an intolerable act, especially if the assault occurred to a woman. Media detik.com also gave different coverage by bringing various sources in each news. As a suggestion, Detik.com should be careful in writing news so as not to be wrong in facts. In addition, news readers should be alert when reading the news because a wide insight is needed to understand the case reported by online media.

Abstract

This aim of this research was to see the effect of using whisper game towards students’ vocabulary mastery at eighth grade of SMPN 3 Kota Jambi, whether it has significant effect or not. The design of this research was an experimental research that was done in pre-test and post-test. Before getting the sample, the population, VIIIA, VIIIB and VIIIC class, were previously given homogeneity test. After the class population achieving homogenous, the class samples were taken by using cluster random sampling technique. Then, the data of this research was collected by using vocabulary test. Type of the test was matching choice. The implementation of whisper game in teaching vocabulary at eighth grade of SMPN 3 Kota Jambi was conducted to two classes; they were experimental class and control class. The participant of this research was 37 students, there were 19 students in experimental class, and 18 students were in control class. In collecting the data, they were given the same test. The data from the test was analyzed quantitatively by using t-test formula. Based on the calculation of the t-test, the researcher found out that the value of t-test was 2, 3211 and t-table was 1,697 at the degrees of freedom (19 + 18 – 2) = 35, and at the level of confidence was 0.05. Due to the fact that t-test (2, 3211) was higher than t-table (1,697), so the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted. There was a significant effect of whisper game technique towards students’ vocabulary mastery at eighth grade students of SMPN 3 Kota Jambi.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to find out the effects of Proactive Working Behavior on the growth of  MSMEs, to analyze the factors that drive or hinder Proactive Works in MSMEs, to provide guidance and recommendations through the contribution to knowledge and scientific literature, and to measure the social and economic impact. Primary data collection is done through observation or observation. Secondary data is collected from scientific literature and research journals related to proactive behavior in developing  MSMEs. The method approach used to make conceptual is the qualitative approach to postpositivism and positivism with the degree of belief that there is a reality that happens to depend on our thinking that can be studied through scientific methods. Critical realism, however, acknowledges that the theory can be modified through proactive behavior in developing  MSMEs.

Abstract

Technological developments in the digital era are growing rapidly, with an important role played by technology in people's daily activities, including online shopping activities. The high number of e-commerce activities and the high level of visits to e-commerce sites represent the level of competition in the e-commerce industry and the high interest in buying on e-commerce platforms. Bukalapak has experienced a quite crucial decline, namely Bukalapak's monthly site visits which have continued to decline significantly since the first quarter of 2019. This study aims to determine the effect of E-Service Quality on E-Repurchase Intention mediated by E-Consumer Satisfaction on E- -Commerce Bukalapak. This type of research is quantitative research using descriptive analysis. The total number of respondents used in this study was 400 with the criteria of having made a purchase at Bukalapak at least once. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling with purposive sampling and a Likert scale. The data analysis used was PLS (Partial Least Square) using SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results stated that E-Service Quality had a positive and significant influence on E-Repurchase Intention. E-Service Quality has a positive and significant influence on E-Consumer Satisfaction. E-Consumer Satisfaction has a positive and significant influence on E-Repurchase Intention. E-Service Quality has a positive and significant influence on E-Repurchase Intention through E-Consumer Satisfaction.

Abstract

One of the advantages of resolving disputes tharough the mediation process in court is that the likelihood of implementing the agreement is higher, so that the relationship between the disputing parties in the future is still possible to maintain well. However, this does not rule out the possibility that one of the parties does not implement the agreed peace outcome, so that the right of one of the other parties are not fulfilled and cause another dispute. This study aims to examine the fulfillment of post-mediation right at the Salatiga City Religion Court. This Reseach was conducted using qualitative method. Data was obtained from field study, and using depth iterview technique. The approach used is empirical-juridical.The implementation of post-mediation rights fulfillment at the Salatiga City Religion Court has been well implemented, especially in cases that are entirely succesfull and are revoked or get a stipulation from the court as a deed of peace. However, in cases that are only partially successfull in the mediation process, it gas not been well implemented.

Abstract

The background of this research is because people still have limited knowledge of ethnographic and ethnomethodological research methods in a study. The problems discussed in the writing are: 1. How is the development of ethnographic research and ethnomethodological research? and 2. When did ethnographic research and ethnomethodological research begin? The research method used is the historical method through the stages of heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. Data collection techniques through library research techniques (library research) are carried out through literature studies and several reference sources such as journals, articles, books and others. The aim of the research is to describe the development of ethnographic and ethnomethodological research and to provide understanding and introduction to ethnographic and ethnomethodological research to the government. The research results found that ethnographic research methods were better known by the wider community than ethnomethodological research methods.

Abstract

The study's first objective was to provide a description of the Jambi Province Regional Finance Agency's organizational culture, competence, work stress, and employee performance. Second to dissect the impact of hierarchical culture and skills straightforwardly and by implication on work pressure Third to break down the impact of authoritative culture and capabilities straightforwardly and in a roundabout way on representative execution. Fourth, to examine the impact of workplace stress on worker performance. Fifth to investigate the impact of hierarchical culture and skill through work weight on the exhibition of representatives of the Jambi Commonplace Territorial Money Organization. The information utilized in the review are optional information. Also, in examining utilizing quantitative illustrative strategies and logical apparatuses utilizing way examination strategies, F tests and t tests and coefficients of assurance (R2). The subject of this study is the Jambi Province Office of the Regional Finance Agency. The populace added up to 310 individuals, with examining utilizing the slovin technique bringing about an example of 76 respondents. Abstract

The presence of beauty trends has a significant influence on the growth of the cosmetics and beauty industry in Indonesia. With the existence of the trends, consumer needs for skin care products have increased. So that makes many new brands present in the world of beauty in Indonesia, both local brands and brands from abroad. The presence of foreign brands makes competition between producers even higher. With this competition requires local brands to determine the right marketing strategy. Social media is one of the most appropriate marketing or promotional tools because it is easily accessible so that it can improve brand image and brand trust. This study aims to determine the effect of Social Media Marketing and Brand Image on Purchase Intention mediated by Brand Trust. The sample in this study were followers of Avoskin's Instagram account and lived in the city of Yogyakarta. Primary data was obtained from a questionnaire of 100 respondents with a technique with 100 respondents with purposive sampling technique. After that the data was analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with purpose sampling, hypothesis testing using partial test (t) and sobel test using the SPSS ver. 25 program. The results showed that social media marketing variables had a positive and significant effect on brand trust, brand image had a positive and significant effect on brand trust, brand trust had a positive and significant effect on purchase intention, social media marketing had a positive and significant effect on purchase intention, and brand image variables had a positive and significant effect on purchase intention.

Abstract

Dust generated from the coal production process is known to have various cytotoxic and carcinogenic contents. Prolonged exposure to coal dust can trigger health problems and affect the function of organs, one of which is the liver. Liver damage is characterized by increased activity of the enzyme Serum Glutamic Pyruvic Transaminase (SGPT), which is an indicator of liver function tests. Groups at risk of exposure to coal dust include people who are in the coal transport traffic area and the coal workers themselves. The study was conducted to describe the activity of Serum Glutamic Pyruvic Transaminase (SGPT) in coal workers at Talang Duku, Muaro Jambi. The research was conducted descriptively with a cross sectional approach. The research was conducted on 30 coal workers at Talang Duku, Muaro Jambi. The Automatic method is used to check SGPT activity using a Chemistry Analyzer. Based on the results of the study most of respondents had normal SGPT activities (73.33%), both in respondents with characteristics aged <40 years (46.67%), working period <5 years (36.66%) and field work division (60%). The results of examining SGPT activity in coal workers at Talang Duku, Muaro Jambi, showed that most of respondents had normal SGPT activity (73.33%) as well as respondents with spesific characteristics.
