Abstract

This research was a classroom action research. The study was conducted because there were some students who were lack of motivation in learning Math Subject. Therefore, the researcher offered Cooperative Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) to improve the students learning motivation on Math Subject. The objective of the research was to figure out whether the method could improve the student’s learning motivation related to cooperation, participation, passion and learning enthusiasm at grade XII IPS 1 SMA N 1 Kerinci. The collaborator of the research was a teacher who taught the same subject. The research was done in two cycles which had three stages; (a) Planning (b) Action (c) Observation, and (d) Reflection. The data were collected by using (a) observation (b) Questionnaire (c) Written test. The data analysis result showed that the student’s learning motivation in Math subject improved significantly after Cooperative TAI (Teams Assisted Individualization) was implemented. The student’s learning motivation in cycle one was 58,69%, then in cycle 2 the percentage was  75,30%. It concluded that the implementation of Cooperative TAI in learning and teaching process on Math Subject improved the student’s learning motivation. It was suggested to Math Teacher to apply this method as one of the solutions to cover the student’s learning motivation problem on Math Subject.

Abstract

Good governance is a principle that can treat political bureaucracy, which is considered to be frequently found in cases of corruption, bribery and abuse of power, including various violations of human rights. The Planning, Research and Development Agency of Karimun Regency through the implementation of E-Planning since 2017, shows that it has implemented Good Governance. In this case, all employees of the Karimun Regency Planning, Research and Development Agency participate in implementing good governance because they carry out government tasks. This study aims to identify the magnitude of the influence of Good Governance on Employee Performance in the Planning, Research and Development Agency of Karimun Regency. This research uses descriptive and causal research using quantitative research methods. This study uses a non-probability sampling technique, with the sample used is a saturated sample. Where the samples in this study are all employees in the Planning, Research and Development Agency of Karimun Regency, amounting to 65 respondents. The results of descriptive analysis show that the value obtained is 77.79%, so that Good Governance is in the good category and the employee's performance is in the good category with the value obtained of 77.98%. The effect of good governance on the performance of the employees of the Planning, Research and Development Agency of Karimun Regency is 47.3%, while the remaining 52.7% is the contribution of other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

This research is a historical study with the theme of cultural history, with the object of research being the Kompangan Group and the Hadrah Group belonging to the Jambi seberang cultural arts institute in Jelmu village, Kampung Tengah Sekoja district. The main research problem is about “Kompangan and Hadrah Group Managed by LOSBJKS in Jelmu Village Since 1995 – 2017”, with two formulation of the problem proposed, namely; why LOSBJKS as an art institution can advance and develop the arts of Kompangan and Hadrah especially in Jelmu village and generally in the Sekoja area, and how LOSBJKS in preserving the values contained in the art of Kompangan and Hadrah as Jambi Malay traditional arts. The research objective is to explain the development of the Kompangan and Hadrah Groups belonging LOSBJKS which are the pioneers for the emergence of other traditional art groups especially in Jelmu village and generally in Sekoja area. In addition, it can also describe the roles and contributions of the board and members who are members of LOSBJKS to preserve the arts of Kompangan and Hadrah as traditional Jambi Malay arts. The research method used is the historical method which is method in historical research, where according to Kuntowijoyo the method starts from the heuristic, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The findings show that there are change and developments from LOSBJKS, namely, first it can be seen from the name change from Riyadusholihin to LOSBJKS. Second, it is seen in the wider area of origin of permanent and non-permanent members. Third, in the terms of musical instruments, fourth, namely the costumes used especially the members of the Hadrah Group. Fifth, there was a change in the Kompangan technique (straight and circular patterns), if previously it was more characteristic of the Palembang (irregular) hitting technique, it had changed to Jambi striking technique that was more polite and neat. Sixth, in therm of singing there has also been a change, namely generally prayer and Malay songs, but at festivals sometimes there are also local songs so that they are not monoton.

Abstract

This research has a purpose of knowing the effect of Interest Rate, Exchange Rate, Inflation, and Return OnAsset. Against the Share Price on Banking Sub-Sector in Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2016-2019. The Data used is source by financial data in Indonesia Stock Exchange through www.idx.co.id, and has been selected based on predetermined criteria. Population used in this research is bank companies which is 46 companies. We used purposive sample, so the sample was 15 companies. With this research, it is hoped that it can become a science to help the next researcher and also college student or general public who need information. In this research, we know that Return On Asset is partially influential and significant with share price. Interest rate, exchange rate, inflation partially has no effect and not significant with share price on Banking Sub-Sector. But all the variables effect simultaneously. Selection of sector in this research is because Indonesia has been more advanced era of globalization, of course there will be many foreigners nor a local who will need various kinds of basic needs, so many companies built because of that basis. That’s why we intend to research this topic.

Abstract

This research aims to analize the effect of liquidity, equity structure and profitability on firm value in pharmacy manufacturing companies listed on The Jakarta Stock Exchange. Research Methodology use the data panel regression analysis method with the model used is fixed effect. The result of the F test show that liquidity, equity structure and profitability together effect the firm value. Meanwhile, in the t test, only profitability has an influence on firm value.

Abstract

Reading is a complex activity that directs large numbers of separate actions. One of the ways to achieve good reading success is interest. because without interest all activities will be carried out less effectively and efficiently. The reading interest of SDN 202 / IX Bukit Makmur students if observed as a whole is balanced or almost the same. However, it turns out that there are differences in reading interest between male and female students. The results of problem identification then emerged several problems at SDN 202 / IX Bukit Makmur which were identified as follows: (a) Students have not been seen to optimally utilize learning resources and learning facilities such as books and lessons, (b) students have not actively read books in the library. Based on the above problems, this research focuses on: Efforts made by classroom teachers to further increase the reading interest of class III students at SDN 202 / IX Bukit Makmur, Sei Bahar Sei Bahar District, Muaro Jambi Regency. This study aims to describe the teacher's efforts to increase reading interest in grade III SDN 202 / IX Bukit Makmur. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The subjects of this study were 1 class teacher and 29 students III SDN 202 / IX Bukit Makmur. Data collection techniques using observation and interviews. Data analysis techniques in this study used data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the teacher's efforts to increase reading interest in third grade students of SDN 202 / IX Bukit Makmur, namely: (1) Encouraging children to tell stories about what they have heard or read, (2) Buying books that attract reading interest, (3) Swapping books with friends, (4) giving books as gifts, and (5) providing reading time. The reading interest of the third grade students was shown by the presence of several students visiting the library to borrow books or read books during recess.

Abstract

This study aims: 1) To know how the application of active, innovative, creative, effective, and fun learning called PAIKEM in Indonesian language learning for class IX Semester 1 KD.4.4, namely "Pouring ideas, thoughts, directions, or messages in persuasive speech (living environment), social conditions, and methods or cultural diversity orally and/or in writing with due regard to structure and language ". The method of the research is qualitative research that focuses on the process. It directly observes the learning process of Indonesian in grade IX with the material "Delivering Persuasive Speeches". The result showed that the application of the PAIKEM (Active, Innovative, Creative, Effective and Fun) approach in the material of delivering persuasive speeches depended on the application of learning and teacher learning methods to motivate, foster curiosity, generate a sense of wanting to do, innovate, and be brave to issue an opinion from a student. Based on the results of this study, it is concluded that the process of learning speeches will be fun if it is supported by two things, namely students who always have a high enthusiasm for learning and teachers who always motivate students, teachers who understand students' learning conditions and teachers who can be accepted by students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine (1) the description of student decisions in choosing online studies at UPBJJ UT Jambi, and (2) the factors that influence student decisions in choosing online studies at UPBJJ UT Jambi. The results showed that (1) the student's decision variable in choosing online studies was in the high category with an average of 4.29 and the Respondent Achievement Level (TCR) of 85.81, (2) There were 6 (six) dominant factors that influenced the decision. students in choosing online studies, namely (a) Factor 1 which is given the identity of the Motivation, which consists of statement items F8, F9, F10, F11, and F12, (b) Factor 2 which is given the identity of the Reference Group, which consists of statement items F19 , F20, and F21, (c) Factor 3 which is given the identity of Belief and Attitude, which consists of statement items F4, F16, F17, and F18, (d) Factor 4 which is given the identity of Economic State, which consists of statement items F3, F5, and F6, (e) Factor 5 which is given the identity of Perception, which consists of statement items F14, F15, and F26, and (f) Factor 6 which is assigned the identity of Role and Status, which consists of statement items F23, F24, and F25.

Abstract

The low quality of public services in Indonesia has long been a problem that people have always complained about. This is characterized by the complex and expensive price of services, as well as the difficulty of gaining access to public services. The need and demands for quality public services become the hope of the community is urgent to be met by the government. This is in line with the current globalization trend which is characterized by the rapid advancement of science and technology so that the world becomes limitless. Nowadays, people easily get access to information both through print and electronic media, so that people are more aware and aware of their rights in obtaining services. Bureaucratic leaders at various levels, must have the same understanding and awareness to realize shared vision through accuracy and ability to make changes, and continue to develop innovation and creativity and involve all components of bureaucracy in developing bureaucratic capacity to be able to improve the performance of public services. That to provide the best service to the community, it must meet the principles of public service implementation in accordance with the basic principles that become the basis of reference in organizing, reference work, and work assessment for each public service organizing institution

Abstract

Humane resource management is a process that consists of planning, organizing, leaders andcontrolling activities related to job analysis, job evaluation, procurement, development, compensation, promotion, and termination of employment in order to achieve the stated objectives. The method used in this research is the study of literature’s, a study conducted by using literature and writer’s that is closely related to the object of study, which is intended to obtain studid. Besides theory and information sourced from the internet. BPPRD is one of the Regional Work Units covered by the Jambi City Government which was formed based on Jambi City Regional Regulation Number 14 of 2016 concerning the Establishment and Composition of Regional XDevices of Jambi City and JambiH Mayor Regulation Number 60 of 2016 concerning Position, Organizational Structure, Tasks,e and Functions and Work Procedures at the Jambi City BPPRD. Based on the results of the regression analysis it was concluded that the regression equation Y = 12559,175 + 5.284X1 + 7.165X2 + e, with R square 0.888. simultaneously has a rsignificant positive influence between discipline and motivation on the performance of employees with a significant value of 0,000. While quantitatively there is an influence of discipline on employee performance with a significant value of 0.68 and rmotivation towards employee performance with a significant value of 0.003. Because in this study discipline and motivation have a significant effect simultaneously on employee performance. Then it must be more attention and improved again, so that discipline and motivation on employee performance can be better in the future.
