Abstract

Education is a human effort to buil his personality based on community values and culture. Even the simplest community has education process. Islam education concept building and increasing human quality and moeslim community in globalization era refer to Al-Quran and As-sunnah as the true resources. So that, Islam education should be able to deliver human as madani community whose has hard skill and soft skill packaged by Islamic values that ready to face all the chllanges in ASEAN Econimic community (MEA) with strategic steps to actualize relevant islam identity in every era.

Abstract

As we know MEA has created competitive situation that means school must be able to answer market needs of workers. School must produces a good quality of education student that be able to compete in the global market. It means scholl must be reincarnated into progressive school. Discourse of progressive school has created by the writer based on john dewey originally ideas of progressivism.

Abstract

The primary issue in this study is how the level of professionalism of teachers of Islamic education in improving the quality of school at SMK (vocational high school) Bhakti Anindya, SMKN 8, and SMK Tiara Angkasa of Tangerang is. This study aims to find the level of professionalism of teachers of Islamic education of SMK Bhakti Anindya, SMKN 8, and SMK Tiara Angkasa of Tangerang in overcoming barriers to school’s quality. The purpose of this study is to know the importance of Islamic Education Teacher’s Professionalism in improving the quality of learning. This study employs a combination of design/model of sequential exploratory, with its main steps: In the first stage, the study conducts a qualitative method to determine the setting of study that has problem. In the second stage, this study employs quantitative methods to test the hypothesis obtained in the first stage. The population of this study is 150 students with a 5% error, so the number of the sample is 105 students. The sampling collection is conducted by using proportional random sampling. The instrument of this study is collected through questionnaires that are arranged according to the Likert scale model. The results reveal that there are positive contributions from the Professionalism of Teacher of Islamic Education to the quality of the school. This is shown by the determination coefficient of 44.89%, which provide simple information that 44.89% of school quality is determined by the Islamic Education Teacher’s Professionalism. Thus it can be concluded that the higher the professionalism of teachers of Islamic education, the higher the quality of schools.

Abstract

Through ASEAN Summits 1997 – 2007, leaders of ASEAN countries have achieved the agreement to establish AEC (Asean Economic Community) in the end of 2015, providing the ability to pursue the ASEAN vision 2025. By means of regional and then global free trade to come, the welfare of 660 millions people in ASEAN countries regarding those leaders. The question is what should be done by each member? In terms of free market, common quality standard comes in the first place. Consequently, terminologies such as accreditation and certification are among words which teachers pay a lot of attention. These two words are not only about quality standard they have to achieved but also result in their take home payment. This article aims to explain te rationale of “Quality Standard” as a must programme in free market era, regionally and globally.

Abstract

Education reformation that slowly run makes the potential of islam education of institution that existed has not discover not only from the professionalism side of educators but also the lack abdorption of graduated student from islam education of institution. There is no balancing numbers out put of graduated student with the job opportunities every year. So that, the rejuvenation of currucullum in Islam education of institution has to be priority especially dealing with other south east country approading ASEAN Economic Community (MEA).Hope fully, curriculum development increases graduated competency that oriented to find a job become to create a job opprortunities. Curriculum is an education tool as the answer to needs and challenges not only as an instrument to achieve education purposes, but also as “The Heart of Education” in the process. There fore a good curriculum will become investation for better quality of education. Nevertheless a bad curriculum will produce worse quality of education.

In the middle of technology advances, transportation and communication. Various south east asia country is facing crisis of cultural values of nationalities identity, this issue not only make a nation loses dignity as an independent, this even prediction to born a new universal identity that dull the old characters.As a framework to fortify young generations from globalization development that eroded cultural values character of nation, hopefully characters learning is an alternative way to face various kinds of multi demention problem faced by Indonesian and southeast asia.
